This place is disgusting and is negligent to their food being served! This should never happen! Large bar with lots of tables for seating. They also have a large area with arcade games and looks like you could have a birthday party or function in that area. Service was friendly. Awesome and top notch in every category possible. The food was great. Bella opted for the Lobster Mac and Cheese which had at least a pound of huge whole pieces and hunks of lobster meat. The macaroni was perfectly cooked and the cheese was the perfect consistency and mild flavor to round off the dish. I stole as much of it as I could get away with and we still had plenty of leftovers. I opted for the Giro and could not finish that. It was very well flavored with very fresh veggies including Greek olives. The Tzatziki sauce was perfect. The service was excellent! It's easy to find on a main road with significant appealing signage, huge parking lot, and surprisingly huge and well set up and nicely decorated interior. We got a steak and cheese sub with fries, a pizza and a salad with chicken to go. Firstly, the sub was in the to go container and the roll was so soft, it just split wide open. There were loads of steak and cheese, but it was impossible to pick up with your hands it was so soft. I just ate with a fork. It tasted OK though and there was plenty of it. The fries were not very good though, they looked like they were laying around for a while. The pizza crust did not appear to be home made, it tasted like a premade pizza crust. The salad had grilled chicken but it appeared to be a purchased really thin chicken cutlet (you know the kind that has the grille marks on it already) and just thrown on the salad. What happened to this place? We come here every year once or twice on vacation and Jimmy's has been one of our staples. But something went downhill. To their credit, the beer selection is fantastic. So it's worth going for a beer. But this time: I got a "smash burger", which I'm pretty sure was a regular formed patty, so that's not right. I can't believe I'm criticizing a burger bun but it was bland or stale or something. The toppings were kind of thrown on the side in a soggy heap. I got maybe 1 cup of fries. The server forgot our drinks. My wife's salad was boring and just a few piles of standard salad stuff. Same with the nachos -- just stuff piled on with what I'm pretty sure was that canned nacho cheese. In fact the whole meal felt like I was eating out of a Sysco or US Foods food service catalog. And on top of that we got plastic silverware and paper plates? More plastic into the landfill I guess. Oh, and the bill was INSANE for what we got. I know times are rough. Please do better. Went last summer to try the pizza, it was terrible, dough was undercooked, sauce was old, sauce and super acidic, the cheese was cheap like Little Caesars... NO MORE PIZZA-PIZZA FROM THEM! I have eaten here about 7 or 8 times over the last 4 years. Why? Well a few reasons. Service is one. Food another and if there are loud drunks howling at some game that's on the screen. So I average about every 6 month between visits. Ok, food. It's acceptable most of the time. Not great, but good enough to fill the empty spot and not get sick the next day. It is a bit inconsistent when it comes to spices on some dishes. The meats are on the cheaper side. But the charge is not. Sometimes I have been served a meal swimming in grease. I guess that's why there is a roll of paper towels on each table. Paper napkins must be costly for them. But hey, the flatware comes with one. So why bitch, right? Servers change almost weekly like coming and going with a revolving door I guess. Some have ignored me while I stood waiting to be seated. They were too busy flirting with a drunk guy. Maybe they were angling for a bigger tip, who knows. After 10 minutes waiting when the place was almost empty except for 3 drunk dudes at the bar. I just walked away for another 6 months. Now for what is my last visit to Jimmy's. Today I stopped in with my wife for a steak lunch. Something I like to do at least once a month. Usually different places. But I was in old orchard beach that day and it was a spur of the moment stop. We both ordered the same steak meal. Mushroom bourbon topped New York strip. With mashed potatoes and a vegetable. The place had only been open 30 minutes so the place had a few people and some at the bar. There was one server working doing everything. Serving, cleaning tables, running the register, tending bar and running around to tables. Even so, it was pretty empty. We waited 30 minutes for our meal, not too bad. As I watched the waitress dump off dishes from a table. She ran over to our order waiting for pickup. She looked around for a moment then stuck her finger right in the middle of my vegetables to check the temperature. Held it there for a few seconds smiled and took it out. And brought our meals to our table. I was about to ask her if she thought my food was warm enough. When I kind of got distracted by what my steak looked like. It just didn't look like a hot freshly cooked steak. It looked like it was taken out of the refrigerator. Stiff and cold with clotted cold grease. Yes, cold clotted grease. I was paying $25 for leftovers from the night before. I did check it out. It was shoe leather tuff and cold. I couldn't even chew this crap. After one bite I stopped and waited for the waitress to come back. I asked when the steak was cooked, last night or a few days ago. Because it was definitely old steak. Not fresh cooked. She grabbed it and went to the back. 5 minutes later she came back with a new meal freshly cooked. Without a doubt, a world of difference. I was still not going to stay, I took my meal to go. It still cost me $60 for two meals. And this is the last time Jimmy the Greek gets any more money out of me. read more

It is nearby, it has a real brick piazza oven, great draft beer, and outside seating in the sunshine, the service is fine, the karaoke hilarious and fun, and they fly an airplane towing a banner down Old Orchard Beach! What can possibly go wrong? The food, the food can go wrong. Even the pizza is thin, dry, and tasteless. I'm an "eat the crust" guy - couldn't get through it, dry, thin and burnt in places. Awful pepperoni, dry, old tasteless. The salad was brown edged lettuce, dry olives, too much onion - the cheese was OK. This was the second time I ate there. So disappointing - I want to come every-week, I want it to be my go-to place, but it's just a place for a drink. Please improve the food. We always have a good time here. Very comfortable atmosphere. I brought my kids in for an early dinner on Monday night. The hostess was friendly and accommodating. We'd hoped to sit in the game room, but there wasn't anything available so she sat us in a booth close by, which worked out perfectly. Our server Paige, was excellent. Very friendly, efficient, and great with my kids. We had the buffalo chicken dip as an appetizer and it was everything I hoped for lol I don't usually do dairy, but this was worth it! We were seated rather quickly given the line of folks at the door. The waitress was attentive. She got our drinks to us and took our appetizer order. The pizza garlic knots were flavorless balls of dough served with nonmelted cheese on top and cold pizza sauce. The only saving grace on our table beside the beers were the steak kabobs. They were tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I ordered steak tips in a honey bourbon sauce and my wife ordered a rice bowl. The steak tips were mediocre. Nothing to write home about. Tough, chewy, not great. Not worth the money. I also got a side Caesar salad. That like the steak kabobs was pretty damn good. My wife's rice bowl tasted like something from a Chinese buffet. It had rice, veggies, and some sort of cheap out-of-a-jar sauce. Not great. In all, we dropped $100+ for the two of us. It wasn't great, it wasn't worth it, and we won't be making a return trip. I was passing through and decided to stop for a beer. The space is pretty big with lots of seating, especially for family style dining. They have two bars. A larger full bar in the main area and a smaller bar which offers fewer beers in the back. The main bar has more taps than I could count or care to count. Trust me...a lot. The menu is typical family style options and of course some seasonal seafood choices. I did not eat, so cannot really comment. They have multiple televisions, so easy to watch the big game of your choosing. It was baseball all-stars so that was the game of choice. The bar is larger than most so your group can sit right up and enjoy. The staff was very friendly at the bar and made sure I had what I needed. Plenty of parking and easy to get to from the turnpike. This was my first time visiting Jimmy the Greeks, and it was decent. It was not a mind blowing experience but it wasn't bad either. They had a small concrete patio out back that we got my Dads wheelchair up into just fine, though there was a small lip. We had apps of chicken tenders that did have an excellent honey bourbon sauce that was worth the trip alone. The nachos were basic and something I could have made at home. I had a rueben that was more like a pastrami sandwich, but it was still fairly decent. My Dad didn't care for the Reuben pizza. I could tell the garlic and herb bread was quickly made on a flat top before being used for my meal. They do have unique fries that were good. The menu prices were a bit expensive, a 3 top with two apps and three meals and a couple drinks will run you about 120$. The service was very good and the waitress was nothing but sweet. All in all, it was ok, it wasn't great and I probably wouldn't be raving to return ASAP. read more

Fabulous experience! It's hard to understand the negative reviews, but every diner's experience is their own. We arrived about 5:30 pm and were seated outside (our choice) immediately. There was plenty of social distancing and staff all had on masks. Our server, Bernadette, came right over, despite having other tables. We were trying to decide on beers and she checked on us twice before we were finally ready, explaining she wasn't rushing us, just didn't want us waiting for her. My father had the Gyro, his first ever, while I ordered the Greek Pita with Grilled Chicken. Dad ordered a side of broccoli while I had fries. We only waited about 15 minutes and our meal arrived. The gyro and my Greek pita were absolutely delicious, with the pita bread grilled to perfection, not soft but not crunchy. My fries looked fresh cut, were piping hot and not greasy - fabulous. Our server checked on us just enough to make sure she didn't miss anything, attentive without hovering. There was enjoyable live music and as the evening wore on, it was getting busier.
