The fried clams are a big disappointment. Store bought frozen and reheated on-site. They looked like fried earthworms with no resemblance to a real fried clam. Lisa's Pizza is located right by Orchard Beach and my family and I decided to order Fried Dough. We ordered one with powdered sugar and another one with sauce. The dough was fluffy in the inside and crunchy on the outside. The powered Fried Dough was good and my family I ate the whole thing. As for the one with the sauce, the sauce was bland and it had no love put into it. You also can order toppings such as Nutella, Strawberries, Oreo's, and other assorted toppings but the toppings are five dollars apiece. read more

Yeah. Still not great at all. Ordered in the off-season this past week and the pizza was very "naked." Very little sauce, very little cheese (it was a cheese pizza!). The fries were cooked well, but jeez... the prices. Sorry, this iconic place in OOB has just gone so far downhill. I've been going here for 40 years and it was ALWAYS "the" place to grab pizza and fries (well, next to Pier Fries)... and it's just not the same. SO far out of the range price-wise for what you get. I saw the reviews on this location after I had ordered. I had walked by this place and saw the fries coming over the counter and knew I wanted to try it so ended up skipping looking at the reviews first. I'm glad I did because I may not have went based on the reviews. So I got a slice of pepperoni pizza and a medium fry. The fry was hot with a crisp outside and nice and fluffy inside. You can add salt or most other condiments you want. You will just need to ask them for the ketchup. The pizza was hot and tasty as well. It's definitely not a wonderful NY pizza taste but it's still good pizza. We would definitely go back. The service was quick and everyone was very nice. read more

We ordered a full pizza on a cold, cloudy Monday evening. They were not busy. The pizza was undercooked. Areas on the bottom were doughy and the cheese barely melted. A very thick fluffy crust (like a biscuit) with zero crisp or crunch to it. Very light on the sauce but no seasoning or garlic to it. Also light on the cheese. For me the #1 need for a pizza, needs to have a crisp or crunchy crust. It reminds me of elementary school lunch pizza. read more

I'm sad to only give 2 stars. I've been coming to Lisa's since I was a kid. I don't know if they've lowered the quality to make up for the lost profits due to COVID-19, or if this is the new normal. The pizza was the only saving grace here. The single slices are warmed back up when you order so they have that nice crispness to them that pizza gets when it's reheated in the oven. The crust is delicious. Even my daughter who usually leave it behind ate it. This is probably the only thing I'll eat here moving forward. I didn't bother ordering fries because I saw what came out of the kitchen before I got to the counter. They looked undercooked and underwhelming. The Mountain Dew I got didn't taste right. I don't know if it needed to be hanged out or what. The fried dough was my biggest disappointment. Take a good look at my pictures. Do you see the yellow on the powder? Do you know what that means? They had the audacity to try to substitute margarine for the real butter that every piece of fried dough deserves. My kids ate it because they don't know any better but I took one bite and I still can't get the gross taste out of my mouth. Maybe other people wouldn't notice, but I did before I even ate it. Perhaps it's just personal preference. However, the crust is not to our liking. It's thick and soggy. The pizza overall is greasy and bland. We ordered a slice for a taste test and I wouldn't even call it mediocre although it is slightly better than Bill's. I can get a better tasting pizza from the freezer section at the supermarket. A southern Maine tradition. Is the pizza the BEST? No, but def acceptable for a walk around slice. The fries are the star of this place tho. If the day comes where all they sell are these french fries and nothing else, they will stay in business a long time. Thick crinkle cut french fries perfectly crisp and tender soft on the inside. They offer salt and vinegar and ketchup. The truth there's almost nothing these fries require, but you have a couple options for how to customize them. Apparently they also added protein recently which means you can order a side of brown gravy by itself if you prefer dipping your fries and gravy. I've had them that way, as well as poutine at other places, it's tasty. Going down to the pier in Old Orchard Beach and getting some of these fries is a yearly expectation and obligation for southern manners. 1 wellworth continuing. Costco Pizza by the Slice! Seriously, years ago this was the go to place for a slice of pizza, made onsite! What a huge disappointment! We haven't been in this area for about 9 years and my healthy eater of a son insisted we get unhealthy slices of pie. I know Costco pizza well and they must being just baking these instead, pies are no longer made on site. Costco is $1.50 per slice, Lisa's is $3-4 per slice! Subway is next door, a better deal and at least the quality is much better. I bought Subway for my dad, he was the smart one! Old Orchard has always been a tourist trap, but really, bate and switch with Costco? I am sure the original owner's are kicking themselves they sold the business with their good name! And did I mention customer service, oh that's right, they need to have some to even talk about it! Not at all like we remembered it! Crappy slices of pie to go with the service. I used to love getting my Lisa's fix when in OOB but it seems things have really changed since my last visit. My husband and I each grabbed a slice of cheese pizza and a cheese fry... The pizza was over cooked, not the old New York style I remember getting years ago. I just threw a bunch of Parmesan cheese on it and called it a day knowing my late night options were limited. When we ordered the cheese fry the guy told us it's a "bacon cheese fry" we asked for no bacon and he told us it couldn't be made that way? We waited an additional 5-8min after getting our pizza for the fries and they were trash. Honestly just terrible. Crinkle style fries that tasted like a baked potato, no crunch or flavor. They were mashed into a small foil pan that was too small, covered in shredded cheese which is always an annoyance of mine. Can we all agree no one wants shredded cheese on their fries? Give me that liquid processed cheese that I can dip into please! The amount of bacon bits on the top was gross. And I'm not sure why they just could have skipped them when we asked if they were just going to be piled on top. We had a couple bites but ultimately found and gave them to someone up the street who needed a meal I went back to grab my fried dough, always a must have for me and after paying for extra butter it was dry. When my husband tried to mention it the guy told us to move aside for customers getting their food. So overall the food has taken a dive, and while I understand this is an order out establishment, but if a customer has an issue with the food that has been served to them it's the responsibility of the employees to address that. We'll be trying one of the other pizza/fry places next time in hopes of finding our new spot read more

It was rainy today, but that did NOT matter ! The pizza was HOT and YUMMY !! Ive read the reveiws,, hey it's NOT NY here, it's MAINE. It's not a fancy pizza, but it IS YUMMY !! YES you do order things from different windows. It's quicker this way because they fry the fried dough in one fryer, they fry the other stuff on the other side and the pizza they do in the middle. It may not "make sense" for it, but that's how over the years it's developed. OOB is a tourist area, so in the summer (if it's a good summer, some aren't ) they do well $$ wise. They are open during the year (YEAH ! Nothing like getting pizza and onion rings and walking the beach in a blizzard ! If you've not done this and can, it's such a cool experience you'll remember it for LIFE ! I am glad they stay year after year. As for the toppings and cheese not being as some want,,, again it's MAINE and NOT NY. I've been to NY and Ohhh YES it IS good and I DID enjoy it, but it's Maine. What started as a fun night roaming the many pop up shops, and fun activities near the old orchard beach turned into a memorable experience. Unfortunately, not in a good way. We ended up going to Lisa's pizza, and where do I start the underwhelming pizza or terrible service. Being unfamiliar with the area we asked, "if we could do a small pizza." The gentlemen who answered way the definition of bad service, giving a glare with a sly remark, "read the sign." We apologized and order but not with the terrible attitude. The food wasn't great either. Pizza was cold, and was very unappetizing. My three children didn't even try it say it was gross. I took a bite and wasn't surprised. It was cold, and tasted like cheese on the verge of expectation. If you are seeing this I don't recommend. Bills pizza was our choice the next night, and was a much better experience. I remember this place being incredible several years ago so it's possible I had a fluke experience this time around. Cash only :( Pizza was very dry but somehow without being overcooked? My girlfriend said that it was on par with 7 Eleven pizza and I kinda agree. I got a cheese pizza and the cheese was very minimal which was also disappointing. I asked for a cup of water and they refused to give me one only trying to sell me bottled water? Also the price for a medium cheese pizza was pretty high, even considering their prime location. I frequent Lisa's pizza quite a bit. I usually get a slice and fries. I've never been disappointed !! I like the kind of pizza they serve...It's affordable too. The only thing I don't like is...It's cash only..... That goes for most pizza places in OOB and that's why I'm deducting a star....There's are times go elsewhere to eat because they take credit cards. Nice little shop on the side of the road and enough seating for the amount of people outside on the surrounding benches. I got the chicken tender dinner which was a bit underwhelming but my friend got the cheese pizza which smelled amazing.
