Very mid, which is okay I guess for the price, but I've eaten at the MacArthur location a lot and this one just seemed a bit off. Service was decent but pretty slow. The waitress asked us if we were ready like 10 seconds into the exchange then didn't come back for 10 minutes. That seems like odd benchmarks to check in. How about 2 minutes then 5 minutes, or something more normal? Again, not a big deal, just a super mid experience. The website is also grotesquely inaccurate. The item I was intending to order was not on the actual restaurant's menu and the server had no idea what I was talking about (not her fault). It wasn't an odd item either. I've ordered it before (Steakhouse Melt). I can't even select my location (or any other OKC location on the website, even though there are at least three that I know of). My memories of the Cuban were positive, but this seemed really bland and fast foody. It also didn't help that for some reason it came by itself, without my side, which again, not a big deal, but resulted in the saddest looking meal I've ordered in years. The curly fries were also suspiciously bland, which I didn't think was possible. More "oily" taste than flavor. If Arby's or Jack in the Box has superior fries to a sit-down restaurant, that's pretty wild. All in all, it is what it is, the world's okayest restaurant. And I guess that's fine. read more

A Self seated place. The waitress got to us quickly which is great. She Took our drink order. Gave us time to choose what we wanted. I ordered the Hog something Skillet. Side: Hashbrown Wifey got the Classic Eggs Benedict. House Salad Kiddos shared the Berry Berry Belgian Waffle, Chocolate Waffle with a side 2x sausage, 2x bacon, and eggs. Kiddo and wifey ate it with gusto. They loved it. I also enjoyed mine as well. Portion size are plentiful and perfect in my opinion. Would recommend. We went this morning for the first time in a very long time. Now I remember why we quit going. A quick Yelp search for breakfast will return a huge variety of options. Choose any other. The bacon was limp and greasy. The sausage patties were overdone. The eggs we cooked over easy as I requested but were completely unseasoned. I guess this is normal? The raisin bread was literally blackened it was so burned. The hash browns were okay but needed more time in the pan and needed seasoning. At least the coffee was hot and black, though unremarkable. Food is great, but I love a good cup of coffee with breakfast. They've stopped serving the delicious dairy creamers such as French vanilla for those of us who are dairy lovers. If you're a local, you should know that Jimmy's Egg is pretty clutch. On weekends, it always draws a good crowd. I've been to several locations and they always seem to do a good job managing the rush. This past weekend I checked out this location. While driving along Hefner Road, you could easily overlook it as it kind of blends in next to Dental Depot. Just something to keep in mind if you invite a friend to meet there for breakfast. Anyway, they have a decent sized parking lot to manage the breakfast rush. The meal portions are great, the price is even better, the staff is attentive, and the kitchen is good at getting the meals out fast. If you love breakfast, you should try Jimmy's Egg. If you're looking for a breakfast place where you can imbibe in some adult beverages, plan to take your shenanigans elsewhere! We had a frightening experience there this Saturday morning (Sept. 7). Our party of seven had just been served our food when we heard a giant commotion in the kitchen area. Two waitresses had gotten into a screaming match which turned into a fight. Food started flying everywhere, including towards the counter where several patrons were seated. The next thing we knew our waitresses shouted "Call 911."She had been stabbed and was bleeding profusely from a head wound. My daughter and son-in-law who go there regularly said the manager was not there that day. Even so, what was even more awful than the fight, itself, was how their staff didn't know what to do in the situation. What should have happened is someone from Jimmy's Egg staff should have apologized for this situation and should have said all food was comped that day, but if you would like to tip your wait staff that would be appreciated. Instead most patrons left without paying; a few (Iike us) waited to pay even though we had barely touched our food. The good news is the police and a fire truck arrived promptly. A fellow patron who was a nurse had looked at the wound. But several children were in the restaurant were traumatized. And even I, an adult, can't stop thinking about it. Jimmy's Egg no matter what location you choose, the food is pretty consistent. This location is pretty new and always busy.They service breakfast and lunch and close at 2pm. Their chicken fried steak is very good, I'm not fond of the sage tasting white gravy, so I order brown - I know it's not traditional, but it taste really good. One of my favorites is the Popeye's Revenge omelettes - bacon, mushrooms, spinach and jack cheese. Their hash brown are good. I do enjoy a good patty melt and theirs is very good, I know it's a frozen beef patty, but it's juicy and tasty, they use both American and Swiss cheese on grilled rye bread. We have been to this particular location several times over the past few years, always for breakfast and usually on the weekend. I'm giving this four-star rating purely because the service has always been very good; the servers are very attentive, the food is brought out extremely fast, and the orders are always correct. Even when the other Jimmy's Egg locations will have a long wait to be seated, we have always been able to get a table immediately or within a few minutes at this location. The food itself is good, always consistent and tasty although maybe not something I would call out of this world. I've never disliked anything they brought out but at the same time I've never thought "oh, I need to get this all the time." Having said that, the only thing I've had that was below average were the biscuits on my last visit; they were a little bit hard and dry, even with the gravy. The Smoked Turkey Egg White Omelette is very good and does not taste at all like a "healthy option," even though it does have healthier ingredients. When the gravy ends up on the bisquit yet under the gravy bowl on the same plate at the same time I expect to get smacked with a menu. Not this waitress. She just went about doing hard work like she knew she was getting a 25% tip. Fake wife also said the pancakes were too small but I explained to her that was so she wouldn't get too big. She said, "STOP THAT" but understood. That's a minor detail the Owl prolly wouldn't even get pissed about but he was home babysitting the baby squirrell, (remember the squirrell?). After numerous visits to this Jimmy's Egg over the past couple of months, I'm giving it a bump to 5 stars. It's inexpensive, the food is always good, and the service is great. As I've said before, Jimmy's Egg can be hit-or-miss, but this location is a hit for me. I also tried their lunch last week. I ordered the Smoked Turkey Melt which is served on their homemade bread and consists of smoked turkey, bacon and tomatoes. Really tasty. I would prefer mustard on this rather than the standard mayo, but that's just me. And their fries are nothing to sneeze at either, these are damn good french fries. But today I tried the Popeye's Revenge omelet, which has spinach, mushrooms, bacon and jack cheese; it's my new favorite there and is really good. And don't forget to try their home made biscuits and gravy, you'll thank me for suggesting it. I popped in here being it's all new and inviting. The breakfast is similar to what you would get at Denny's. Not amazing not bad. Average and filing. However you don't have to cook it yourself. The place is beautiful. The booths are comfy and a good place to get in and out. The service was outstanding. I have been going to Jimmies Egg for years and WAS my favorite Breakfast Restaurant in Oklahoma but that has now changed. Ever since the owner sold part of his restaurants to a chain to manage it had slowly gone downhill. The last straw for me was them changing from the homemade biscuits to premeasured frozen biscuits that are 1/3 to 1/2 the size they were before. The biscuit debris was my absolute goto breakfast and loved it. Now, no longer and I will not be back now. Good luck Jimmies Egg.... This location is only about a mile from my house so this is a easy place to grab some great breakfast. You might have to stand in line to be seated but it goes quick. The service is always friendly and usually prompt depending on how busy they are, but I'm hardly ever in a hurry so it's fine with me. The menu is huge and has a wide range of breakfast and lunch items. They have all kinds of awesome flavored pancakes and if you want something you don't see on the menu they will make it for you. They've recently added calories to the menu, so that is helpful if you are counting them. They do have a Breakfast "Lite" section and also provide sugar free syrup! read more

Not as good as it used to be. We were there about 9am this Sunday morning and it wasn't crowded. Especially at breakfast I want good coffee and I don't know what coffee they use but I'd rate it about 3 out of 10. I asked for crispy bacon and had to send it back. The sausage gravy is misnamed because there was no sausage to be found. Service was just ok--nothing to brag about. At the register there was a line as their computer system was down, something the cashier says is not unusual. We eventually got the attention of our waitress and paid her cash. I don't even know how many years we have been loyal customers at Jimmy's Egg. Having lived in OKC forever, I know we have been going to Jimmy's since not long after it first opened. I realize a "Close at 2" means close at 2, but, really 2:03??? You can't serve the single, 65+guy?? He's alone, probably a widower, you still have things to do to close the restaurant, and you embarrass him and make him leave...at 2:03??? Really??? I saw the same manager, (I assume she's the manager) do the exact same thing on two occasions. If this is what happens when you become successful, then I wish Jimmy's Egg hadn't become so successful. I had breakfast here on 04/28/2017. I had the Meat Lovers Skillet and it was delicious, as JImmy's food generally is. I only gave 3 stars because the service was lacking. When I sat down, I was asked what I wanted to drink and I said, "coffee please". The waitress never brought my coffee. She then came over to take my order and I had to remind her that I still had not received it. I had biscuit and gravy as my side choice but they failed to provide a spoon so I had to pour the gravy form the bowl, which was a bit messy. I love breakfast. I mean...truly, deeply, almost embarrassingly, love breakfast. But I also get down right cranky about bad service. This Jimmy's Egg is the only place I've eaten breakfast in OKC that wasn't hit or miss with service. I get exactly what I order in a fast, friendly manner, and if anything is ever wrong, it gets fixed IMMEDIATELY. The restaurant is always clean, the food is fresh and tasty, and everyone there makes us feel at home. Best of all ...my coffee cup is never empty. NEVER! This is the closest "sit-down" breakfast spot to home. I eventually had to branch away from this location because the food was always hit or miss on quality/freshness. Lukewarm eggs, cold gravy on top of biscuits, or undercooked bacon absolutely sabotages the whole meal.
