The only thing good about this place was that the waitress was friendly. This is the worst food I've ever had at a restaurant. First they were out of the lunch specials 20 minutes into lunchtime. So we ordered off the menu: Turkey/dressing was cold and the gravy tastes like air. Ham/pineapple was chewy like it was microwaved and the pineapples were 4 tiny chunks from a can, seemingly added last minute and not cooked with the ham. The fried chicken didn't resemble any piece of chicken I have ever seen and was so over-fried it felt like pork rinds. The Mac and cheese tasted like the Stouffers frozen kind. The blackberry cobbler tasted like they accidentally used salt instead of sugar. Not a single item of anyone's food was good. And we are not picky eaters. I love a local, southern restaurant. This was shockingly bad. Also two separate people couldn't figure out the very basic task of changing the paper in a receipt machine and held my change hostage while they figured it out. I'm now looking at your Jimmy's restaurant. It says it's gonna close in five minutes. I was there 13 minutes before three and was told I would not be served because they're closed young lady. I've never seen before. Stated that the boss turned off the light. Jimmy would've never done that. I came from Highway 11 to eat here. I'm a single person disabled. She asks you how many and then she brings you to your table, plops the menus & silverware on table, turns around with no acknowledgment and leaves I thought maybe it was "us" but nope she did the same thing to 2 other tables in the section we were sitting. If your busboy is too busy with his phone maybe he should just go home. Just an observation What's with the up-charge of everything?? You're SOL if you don't like grits because you're going to pay an extra $2.25 for potatoes. Not one item on the menu had potatoes with the breakfast dish. What can I say this place is out of this world. I had the Western omelette with grits and toast and I was totally blown out of the water by the quality and the care that went into the preparation of the food. The restaurant was fully staffed and fully packed with customers and from what I could say they were all happy customers. The facility is clean and neat tables were being cleaned on regular basis. Tuesday Sept 5, 2023 around 1pm, My 12yr old daughter Emily, 9year old son Eli and my service dog Draco went to Jimmy's Restaurant to get something to eat. When we first went in, Jimmy's ex-wife said y'all like to sit in the back. I said yeah, she said that's good because we've been having problems with people tripping over dogs. Which seemed weird. I looked at my kids like that's funny, and she walked away. We was seated in the very back up against the wall. We ordered our tea's and a water in to go cups than our food. The waitress ended up bringing out our drinks in glasses instead of the to go cups. I poured water in a little collapsible bowl for my service dog to drink. Jimmy's ex-wife came up to me and said your service dog "Draco" has to be under the table the whole time. I said no he doesn't as long as he's right here beside me he's fine. She said no, it is DHEC's rules. "Keep in mind, Draco was standing right in front of me with his head on my lap the whole time." Jimmy comes up, talking real loud and hateful saying he has to be under the table. He said it is the DHEC rules and for me to look it up. His ex-wife had some kind of papers in front of her going through them. I looked it up on my phone and seen where it's not a rule, "Which I knew it wasn't anyway." I told him it wasn't and I tried to show him and his ex-wife. At this time Jimmy started going crazy causing a huge scene. Jimmy even pushed his ex-wife in the booth near my son, coming towards me in a threatening way. Everybody in the restaurant was looking at us. My kids and myself felt threatened from the way he was acting and pacing back and forth. My 12 year old daughter Emily was in tears. She kept saying why are yelling at us for. My 9yr old son was in shock and worried. Jimmy said to me what do you even need a service dog for, you don't look like you need a service dog. If he is your your service dog I need to see his ID card that shows proof that he's a service dog. I told him and his ex-wife I didn't have to show them proof or anything. "Even though I do have him registered as my service dog" I said I'm going to call DHEC and find out and I'm gonna let some one know about this. Jimmy starts yelling and walking towards me again in a threatening manner, while I was sitting down, shouting are you threatening me. I poured the water back into the cup I had from Draco's little collapsible, water bowl. Jimmy started going hysterical. Jimmy grabbed the cup of water off the table and started shouting GET OUT and that I was going to have to pay for that. I told my kids we needed to go. My daughter and son was scared to death. I got up 1st so my kids would get behind me. I thought maybe he was gonna put his hands on me. Me, Draco, and the kids was real close to the front door (maybe 15ft-20ft). Jimmy starts shouts at us from the back of the restaurant saying "if you're going to do something I'm going to do something to." I had no clue what he was talking about. I got my kids and my service dog "Draco" in my truck. I pulled out of the parking spot. I started driving through the lot to leave. As I was leaving Jimmy jumps in front of my truck, I had to slam on the brakes. Jimmy is shouting at me you're not leaving. Jimmy then started walking fast to my door shouting at me calling me a fucking asshole and that he was gonna make me pay for this as I pulled off. After I pulled off my daughter Emily was still crying Emily kept saying daddy he's gonna do something to us. I had to reassure her he wasn't. I asked Emily and Eli did they want to go somewhere else to eat. Both of them said no, they both was still scared from the incident and Emily scared he was going to follow us. After I got home, I called DHEC to make sure they didn't change any rules about service animals. The lady I spoke with at DHEC laughed a little bit, and said no. I explained to her what happened. The lady at DHEC went on and explained that DHEC or any establishment doesn't have the right to to do that. She went on and explained that I was protected by ADA, and by federal law and South Carolina law. She said that it is a crime to interfere with a person and their service animal/dog. I asked her what could I do about it, she said I need to call my local police department. read more

We ate a Late breakfast here on a weekday morning. Upon our arrival about half of the tables were full. We were greeted and seated immediately in a pleasant manner. We were brought out drinks in just a few minutes and out orders taken. Our food came 17 minutes after we ordered. Not only did our server stop by frequently but so did other employees passing by to see if we needed anything. The meal was hot. It was delicious. The restrooms were very clean as was the general environment. It was a pleasant, fulfilling and affordable experience. During the pandemic, they were pretty ignorant when it came to the mask mandate, even to the point of rejecting customers outright if they came in wearing a mask. The food has always been lacklustre. My most recent obligatory visit with family was no exception. My burger was greasy as all get out. I had grease running down my chin.
