I know this is a BBQ joint, but this cornbread is an absolute blessing to my soul! It is moist and fluffy at the same time, with a bit of sweetness. A great compliment to the BBQ. However, I would just come her and order a dozen of the cornbread muffins. My family really enjoyed there selections of pulled pork, ribs, Mac and cheese, and okra. Had a delicious lunch at Keith's! Between my husband and I, we tried the pulled pork, okra, fries, collards, and mac n cheese. (oh, and the cornbread, which came with both of our meals). Loved the BBQ - the Carolina Gold SPICY was my fav, but also liked the red spicy, too. (the traditional/classic ones were a touch sweet for me, and needed numerous shakes of the vinegar hot sauce to mellow it out for me). The cornbread was more corn CAKE- super duper sweet. Plan on it as your dessert. The restaurant and servers were super kind; the owner even popped out to check in on us. We will return! read more

Oh my goodness I cannot say enough about this hidden gem! The best most tender meats with smoky flavor. The meat just falls off the bones of the ribs and serving of pulled pork is generous. I actually stopped mid-meal to write this review, because I didn't want to forget to do it later. We were unsure what quite to expect because there are some bad reviews here, but we've had nothing but a wonderful experience! The waitstaff have been fabulous - so attentive and fast, and they've come by multiple times to top off drinks and see if we need anything. They've even joked with our son, which is so sweet. Between the 3 of us, we ordered a variety of foods and sides: brisket, pulled pork, and kids' chicken tenders, with baked beans, fried okra, macaroni and cheese, fries, collards, and jalapeño and normal cornbread. We have no complaints about anything we've tried!! The serving sizes are large and everything is made so well. The inside is quiet and simple, and feels perfect for a BBQ meal. WOW, real Southern prepared BBQ meats, vegetables and deserts. Service and food are stunningly presented. Sure there are menu favorites as pulled pork, ribs, chopped briquet, but their sides are ALL unique (generously served) also. For a change yesterday, I just asked for the very reasonably priced 3 whole wings plate. Not only were the wings exceptionally large, but the black peppered smokiness preparation could not have been any finer. Ambiance is topped off with 'Keith' coming out from the kitchen to greet seated patrons. What a nice gentleman! A simple setting which makes for a great convenient meal. read more

Take out lunch was my plan, so lunch was from Keith's House of Barbecue. Keith's is located where Tropical Grill use to be. I was greeted by two friendly people when I walked through the door. It was very clean and spacious, not a lot of people in at the time it had just opened. They had plenty of menus, big menus on the wall, some attached to the counter and take out menus as well. I decided on the chopped chicken(all white) sandwich. The sandwich comes with one side, I got mac and cheese as my side. Two sauces were offered, Carolina gold and a Georgia red. I got the Georgia red since it was the mild one of the two. There wasn't a long wait for my order, and while waiting I learned that they're not offering delivery yet, but it would probably be offered later. They do offer catering. The chopped chicken sandwich had a toasted bun, a pickle spear with plenty of chopped chicken. The chicken was tender with a nice smoked flavor to it. I did add a little salt, the Georgia red sauce and some mayo to the bun. The mac and cheese was tasty with plenty of cheese mixed in it, not just on the top of it. It was good, I just like my macaroni noodles cooked more than Al dente. Not cooked to death, just more done. Keith's House of BBQ is SO good! We are from Louisiana and have lived in Houston for over 20 years, so we KNOW good food and we KNOW good BBQ!! Run, don't walk! The meat is fall off the bone tender/no fork needed tender. The sides are down home good. The egg roll style chicken and pork rolls are elevated good that you can't stop eating. This is BY FAR the BEST BBQ we have had ANYWHERE! We split the 3 meat + 2 sides entree - jalapeno cornbread and mac & cheese were our sides, and both were excellent. Sliced brisket, pulled pork, and ribs were so tender and flavorful. It really didn't need sauce, but Keith has a great selection which complimented each meat. The cornbread is very light. Keith was kind enough to introduce himself and we thanked him for the quality of his food. Do yourselves a favor and try it for yourself. We don't think we'll ever smoke meats again. Amazing food! I had the 1/4 chicken plate with Mac & cheese and collards. My boyfriend had the pulled pork plate with okra and baked beans. Both our plates came with a cornbread muffin and let me tell you that is the best cornbread I've ever had in my life. It was like a cornbread cupcake, so moist!! All of our meats and sides were so good and pretty affordable for bbq. Service was really good and the food came out fast. Even Keith himself came out to check on us. I haven't done any reviews in a while but I felt like this was the perfect opportunity. This restaurant does not disappoint! You walk in and it gives you that BBQ style feel. The menu is pretty aligned with a regular BBQ spot. The food however is exceptional! I ordered the brisket sandwich combo which comes with 1 side. I chose okra and added a side of potato salad. I chose half sweet tea/half unsweet tea which also was perfect. The brisket is tender and I mixed the honey gold and BBQ sauce on it for a sweet and tangy flavor on the sandwich. The okra was freshly cooked just right. I didn't get a picture because I rushed into eating and forgot. My meal was $12.19 before taxes and the drinks are $2.55, reasonably priced for the food quality and quantity. Honestly I might go back tomorrow. Just saying...It was that good! read more

I work at a barbecue restaurant in Atlanta and try barbecue wherever I go. The brisket was delicious and did not need any barbecue sauce. The sweet potato casserole and mac n cheese was super!! Finally there's a great, true BBQ place in the area. Sure there are some good novelty places around but this place is the complete package. The atmosphere is great, the service was incredible, and the food was phenomenal! No styrofoam, no dirty floors, no careless workers. The sides are great as I love his baked beans the most. The best part of the meal is the BBQ sauce it is fantastic. Went to Keith's last night. And will be our last: the meat was great! Where they fail is everywhere else. Prices are high and portions small and are out of control. I run food business' portion control is so important especially with rising food cost. But when I can literally count my fries on the plate under 13-15 on each of our plates? That's extreme. The girls pretending to host and serve obviously have never done this type service before and have received no training in what they are to do: first question we asked was is there anything your out of? 6:30 on a Friday night. Her response was well obviously no?? Two minutes later out of ribs: we ordered what appears to be the only appetizer they offer and again out? Said they were coming!!! Ate our entire meal, paid check waited and still no app. Waited again because the fake untrained server host didn't know how to refund our money!! Was a lasting experience unfortunately it was bad enough and expensive as any place or more we won't risk our money or dinning experience on this place. Easley's Town Center (Walmart, etc) shopping venue has a new to me BBQ House. Found along one of the front side venues is this restaurant with ample parking. Good selection of BBQed items which may appear a bit expensive at first glance, but wait until you get the meal with their very large servings. Open everyday except Tuesday makes this truly convenient for call in orders. My meal of pulled BBQ pork, collard greens & slaw was delicious, especially with their homemade delicious mustard sauce (red sauce not tried). Sandwiches come with one side, plates with two sides, meats by the pound and two & three meat combos available. Interestingly, the nicest sweet corn muffin accompanied the meal. Thanks. read more

First time go-ers and probably last. I called in my order at 330pm. The lady told me on the phone to give her about 20 minutes. Fair enough. So I show up at 355 to pick up my order. When I walked in there were no customers. One employee was on her personal cell phone on a call sitting at a table near the front. Another girl met me at the register and I told her my name and paid for my food. She asked if I'd like any sauce so I told her yes. She goes over to the girl who is still on her cell phone saying "she wants both sauces". So the girl gets off her call and goes and grabs sauces and sets them on the counter. She then proceeds to go outside and get back on her phone. Now the other girl who took my payment is sitting at the same table on her phone. She proceeds to ask me what my pick up time was. I informed her whoever took my order told me to give them 20 minutes and that was almost 30 minutes ago. She went to the kitchen (I assume to check on my order) and comes back out and says "yeah so it hasn't been 30 minutes. It should be ready in a few. And for the future they should give you a pick up time so we can actually have it ready". I politely pulled out my cell phone and pulled up my call log and said "I called at 330. It's now 4pm." She said "oh, I guess it took her a while to get your order to the kitchen.". Needless to say my first impression of this place is not so great.
