Oh my goodness I cannot say enough about this hidden gem! The best most tender meats with smoky flavor. The meat just falls off the bones of the ribs and serving of pulled pork is generous. The sides are incredible. The answer is "yes" to this cozy spot that has the game on. The staff are just wonderful! Situated in front of Academy facing Hwy 123 just past Rock Springs church before Hwy 153.

Great food! Best collards I've had in the area. Highly recommend. The brisket was also very flavorful and juicy.

Our sweet waitress letting kiddo check out the payment thingy :)

I actually stopped mid-meal to write this review, because I didn't want to forget to do it later. We were unsure what quite to expect because there are some bad reviews here, but we've had nothing but a wonderful experience! The waitstaff have been fabulous - so attentive and fast, and they've come by multiple times to top off drinks and see if we need anything. They've even joked with our son, which is so sweet. Between the 3 of us, we ordered a variety of foods and sides: brisket, pulled pork, and kids' chicken tenders, with baked beans, fried okra, macaroni and cheese, fries, collards, and jalapeño and normal cornbread. We have no complaints about anything we've tried!! The serving sizes are large and everything is made so well. The inside is quiet and simple, and feels perfect for a BBQ meal. Our 4 year old said it's "just too good!!" and we have to agree! Definitely drop in and give this place a try! You'll be glad you did!!

Take out lunch was my plan, so lunch was from Keith's House of Barbecue. Keith's is located where Tropical Grill use to be. I was greeted by two friendly people when I walked through the door. It was very clean and spacious, not a lot of people in at the time it had just opened. They had plenty of menus, big menus on the wall, some attached to the counter and take out menus as well. I decided on the chopped chicken(all white) sandwich. The sandwich comes with one side, I got mac and cheese as my side. Two sauces were offered, Carolina gold and a Georgia red. I got the Georgia red since it was the mild one of the two. There wasn't a long wait for my order, and while waiting I learned that they're not offering delivery yet, but it would probably be offered later. They do offer catering. The chopped chicken sandwich had a toasted bun, a pickle spear with plenty of chopped chicken. The chicken was tender with a nice smoked flavor to it. I did add a little salt, the Georgia red sauce and some mayo to the bun. The mac and cheese was tasty with plenty of cheese mixed in it, not just on the top of it. It was good, I just like my macaroni noodles cooked more than Al dente. Not cooked to death, just more done. This wasn't a deal breaker, and I will be going back to try some of the other items from the menu. Check out Keith's House of Barbecue in Easley, my lunch was tasty.

Keith's House of BBQ is SO good! We are from Louisiana and have lived in Houston for over 20 years, so we KNOW good food and we KNOW good BBQ!! Run, don't walk! The meat is fall off the bone tender/no fork needed tender. The sides are down home good. The egg roll style chicken and pork rolls are elevated good that you can't stop eating. Service is friendly and the space is airy and comfy.

Only because as nice as the servers were they barely talked and when they did it was whispers. Expensive, but the food was very good.

We came from Clemson to attend a play in Pelzer and decided to have lunch here first. It is not a destination restaurant. The menu is very chicken heavy. Started with 8 smoked wings as an appetizer, bbq sauced with a side of hot sauce. Received 4 bbq wings and 4 hot wings. Now the wings were smoked nice and very good. Both ordered half-and-half tea. I received unsweetened. They had meatloaf as a Sunday special. I got it, mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread, and a side salad. The side salad was really nice and worth ordering. The cornbread was jalapeño cornbread, but not described that way on the menu. The mashed potatoes and gravy should not be ordered. Period. They were both reconstituted, fake and a tiny portion. The meatloaf was a good size portion, but tasted like a seasoned hamburger. Thankfully the bbq sauce on the table saved it. Her chicken salad sandwich was good and a nice size portion, but again it was different than described on the menu. She said it tasted like smoked chicken. The banana pudding was very unremarkable but looked nice. We might give it another try if we're in the area and hungry, but it's not in the "let's remember this place" list.

Upon entry, everything looked good she brought us to the table. The first thing I noticed is the booth backside has some weird buttons that are broken and half hanging out of the seat which caught my shirt then we were agreed by a waitress who had absolutely no personality whatsoever. Because we were working all of us went to the restrooms to wash up. The restroom is old. The stall door does not lock properly, and I felt like it was just dingy and somewhat not lit properly and dirty. I ordered the baby club with onion rings my friend ordered the turkey plate with dressing. My baby turkey club was OK. It taste good but I wouldn't say it was exceptional. It was just average. I upgraded and paid extra for onion rings because I absolutely love onion rings however, I was very much disappointed in the onion Rings. First of all the coding on the onion rings is super thick and heavy when they were served to me the onion rings were cold with that thick layer of cornmeal. They were very tough and unappealing absolutely no flavor. You could barely taste the onion so then I decided to peel off all of the breading and try the onion within, and it was a fresh onion very sweet very good, but I was very disappointed. Lastly, my dish came with coleslaw. This to me was the absolute best coleslaw. I've had Don't a while and it was the hit of my dish and I absolutely loved it my partner at lunch. He liked his turkey with dressing meal. He said it was good but it wasn't fabulous or anything. It was just as he says it is what it is. I don't know that I'll go back. The only thing I may decide to do is if they serve breakfast, I may try them as a breakfast place and see if they do better.

Their Cheesesteaks are superb either way; "Wid or wideout". Now, if they could just get Frank's soda (black cherry .... Mmmmmm). I tried their hoagie one time and I wasn't super crazy about it. Could've been an off day. One problem with parking at their place in the Silos, it is very limited and neighboring shops are not too friendly to non customers using their parking.

Inky's Philly Cheesesteak in Easley, SC, delivers a fantastic take on a regional favorite…read more Located at the base of The Silos--where several food trucks ply their specialties--Inky's stands out as a spacious, comfortable spot with large booths that invite you to settle in... and maybe stay a while. High ceiling, lots of wood paneling, very vintage while still feeling up to date. The menu includes burgers, deli-style hoagies, and salads, but let's be honest: the cheesesteak is why you showed up--and it's good enough to keep you coming back. There's some real history behind the name. Albert "Inky" Harris ran the first cheesesteak and hoagie shop in Philadelphia back in the 1940s, and the current grandchildren owners carry that legacy forward. Whether every detail has been perfectly preserved or lovingly remembered, one thing is certain: they source their white American cheese from Philly, and the result feels authentic. And that makes all the difference. The fresh-baked Liscio's rolls are huge--soft and warm on the inside, with a firm, crusty on the outside. Like me... on a good day. Inside, finely chopped steak, peppers, onions, and that perfectly melted white American cheese are blended together, so every bite delivers a balanced, satisfying hit of flavor. No "all onions in one bite, no meat in the next" surprises--just consistent harmony. And the star of the show? Certified Angus ribeye. No shortcuts. No skimping. No regrets. Sandwiches come in 7", 12", or the "I wish I was still in college" 18" option--because sometimes restraint is overrated. My wife and I split the Colossal. The meals are served on trendy paper-toppped metsl trays. The staff and management go out of their way to make you feel welcome and walk you through all the options. Sides round out the experience with plenty of choices: fries, tater tots, onion rings, pasta salad, fried mushrooms (hello, childhood), and a standout option--house-made chips, sliced and fried fresh and disappearing faster than your willpower. Bottom line: If you're craving a true Philly-style cheesesteak without leaving the Upstate, Inky's is absolutely worth the stop. Just don't plan on eating light... or sharing.
