Great food and service. Everything is always very tasty and displayed well on the plates

Upon arrival, the building looks new and pleasant to the eye. When I entered, the hostess was very nice and had a huge smile on her face very welcoming. Upon entry, everything looked good she brought us to the table. The first thing I noticed is the booth backside has some weird buttons that are broken and half hanging out of the seat which caught my shirt then we were agreed by a waitress who had absolutely no personality whatsoever. Because we were working all of us went to the restrooms to wash up. The restroom is old. The stall door does not lock properly, and I felt like it was just dingy and somewhat not lit properly and dirty. I ordered the baby club with onion rings my friend ordered the turkey plate with dressing. My baby turkey club was OK. It taste good but I wouldn't say it was exceptional. It was just average. I upgraded and paid extra for onion rings because I absolutely love onion rings however, I was very much disappointed in the onion Rings. First of all the coding on the onion rings is super thick and heavy when they were served to me the onion rings were cold with that thick layer of cornmeal. They were very tough and unappealing absolutely no flavor. You could barely taste the onion so then I decided to peel off all of the breading and try the onion within, and it was a fresh onion very sweet very good, but I was very disappointed. Lastly, my dish came with coleslaw. This to me was the absolute best coleslaw. I've had Don't a while and it was the hit of my dish and I absolutely loved it my partner at lunch. He liked his turkey with dressing meal. He said it was good but it wasn't fabulous or anything. It was just as he says it is what it is. I don't know that I'll go back. The only thing I may decide to do is if they serve breakfast, I may try them as a breakfast place and see if they do better. read more

Got here about 7ish, family ordered after sitting a little while. Server comes out after 20 minutes to say what I ordered was out. We were seated promptly. Our waitress didn't seem to care if we were there or not. Took our order and food came. We both ordered cheeseburger plates. Burger was ok but soggy bun after awhile. Mediocre is a kind word to use here. Cobbler was burned. Bananas in the pudding were black. Rolls were dry. Smothered grilled chicken was dry and hardly had any cheese. When I asked for something to "smother" the chicken, I was told that a side of gravy was an extra charge. The fried squash was freezer burned. Just nope...don't waste your calories! Also, the server used the same tea pitcher that had been sitting on our table to fill up another guest's cup. So unsanitary! read more

I ordered a take out meal for my sister on her birthday, and for myself as well. My sister wanted the fried grouper with Mac and cheese, rice and gravy with a yeast roll. My order was fried chicken tenders, fried okra, mac and cheese and a yeast roll. The meal was only ok to me, the chicken color was red as if they had put to much paprika in the coating, not much flavor to the chicken even though I recooked it, it was still a little on the tough side. The mac and cheese didn't have much flavor either, I had to "doctor" that up. The yeast roll I only took a bite and was done. This was my first time eating from Pete's since their move to this location, I think this was my last visit. read more

Love it here! It's an old style diner, been around for a very long time. Food is excellent, portion served fills one up and price is inexpensive. I had the beef tips on rice, collard greens and sweet potato souffle. Beef tips were tender and juicy. The brown sauce that comes with it wasn't overly salted. The sides were tasty too. The rubber tree plant indoors is years old, sprawls the width of the store and then some. We enjoyed the experience here, looking forward to drop by many more times. Grandparents took us before we left for home for lunch here! It's a pretty good place. Surprisingly cheap and if you want a good hearty meal or a chili dog this is the place to go. We had great service from Mandi and the fact that they had a Greek option, for me was a huge score. ( I'm the only one in my family who loves green, fyi it's lamb too! It was sooo good). Thank you for a great visit! The only complaint I have is the cobbler is super super dry it's missing that juice or something and the Mac n cheese is also very dry. But all in all I LOVED the gyro and the tzatziki sauce was one of the best I've had! read more

Bad food and EXTREMELY BAD customer service. Amazes me how this greasy spoon stays open. If you have an issue with your food instead of trying to make it right, they want to argue with you. First good Southern cooking I've had in a looong time! I had the Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and okra, my husband had fried fish, coleslaw and okra. if i could give zero stars i would. first of all when you walk in the restaurant it's hot. barely any air. they have box fans on chairs. the food was AWFUL. the roast beef stuff was out of a can. it was bad. the banana pudding had rotten bananas. the fries are dry as crap. the hotdog's mustard looks like they put it on there a day ago. the service was bad. it took 45 mins to get our food. we got an appetizer and it took 20 mins to get it. Food was not memorable. I can't even remember what I got to eat & it was only 2 weeks ago. Waitress did not check on us to refill our water glasses or to let us know when our food would arrive. We waited a long time for our food. We won't go back. I guess it was the owner who rang up our bill. Like other commenters in here the food was great. I really liked the fresh squeezed OJ and all I could say when the ONE pancake was brought out was, "Holy Moley!" It was HUGE! The only thing keeping me from giving more than three stars was it the service; it was lacking. In these times of Covid to have a waitress come up to your table with her mask under her chin is not good. I had to ask for menus, maybe we looked like regulars. This is overall a good American restaurant that serves a plethora of favorites. For this trip, I got the "fishy Friday" special that includes two pieces of fried flounder and two sides. I got the fried okra and fried squash. Ordering online was a breeze but pickup can take between 5-10 minutes on occasions. I recommend at least trying Pete's a few times to see which of their menu items you like. read more

Stoped in for dinner at Pete's #6 in their new location, we ate outside and the service was awesome, new location is very clean and looks awesome, everything we had was very good, my only criticism was the sides were not at serving temperature, Will be back soon, it was their second day in the new location, Once they get used to their new surroundings I am positive things will improve read more

Pete's is upstate SC best breakfast. The service is amazing and friendly. All the foods from scratch prepared perfectly. Chicken Monday, Beef Wednesday and Fish Friday all have amazing special entrees comes with two sides under $12 bucks. read more

We had a party of 10 for dinner. The server was attentive and friendly while taking the orders. 8 of the 10 meals came out quickly, but 2 of the meals never showed up. The server apologized while our food was getting cold waiting for the 2 remaining meals to come. 15 minutes later we had 8 cold plates and 2 warm plates. The server walked away saying she would see what she could do and never came back. Just like her, we will never come back to Pete's. read more

I have been eating at Pete's number six in Easley ever sense I moved to Easley in 1987. When they were in the old original building it was smaller and more cramped but the food and service was so much better. Now that they are in the new old Ruby Tuesday building it is very nice but the service is not near as good and the food is not near as good for some reason. A few months ago I ate here and ordered a hamburger steak and I felt like I was eating a piece of rubber. I swore then I would never going back but then my wife said she wanted to go there today and get a two hotdog plate and split it with me. On the menu the price of a two hotdog plate was $7.79 and it said it includes french fries and coleslaw and then in parentheses it says add $1.69 for onion rings. Maybe I am stupid but I certainly assumed that meant you could add onion rings to the two hotdog plate with the fries and coleslaw for $1.69. So when the waitress took my order I told her that we were going to split a two hotdog plate and that we wanted to add the onion rings for $1.69 and she said oh OK. Then when I got to the cash register to pay for the meal they couldn't even find two hotdog plate on their Cash register menu so the girl ended up ringing me up for three hotdogs that was OK but then she charged me $4.29 for adding onion rings. So I told her that the menu says you can add onion rings for $1.69. To that she looked at me like I was stupid and said oh no that means you're replacing your french fries with the onion ring for $1.69 extra. you don't get all three. well I paid the extra charge but that's the last time I'll ever go back to Pete's until they learn how to correctly word a menu. Besides that the hotdogs were mostly bread and very little meat. We would have been much better off to just gone to Skins' Hotdogs. read more

I only gave this review a 2 star only because the banana pudding was great! I got a to go order. Once I got home and opened my plate the plate was melted into my food. The mac and cheese and potatoes we bland what I could save from the plate. The chicken fried chicken was so thick it was not tender or easy to eat, I appreciate the large chicken portion, but it didn't make it taste better. This will be the last time I try the meat and three until they change the to go plates. I will stick to the burgers. read more

If you intend on buying a gallon of tea, be prepared to get it in a mayo container that leaks. It was clearly not cleaned well or put in a dishwasher if the tag is still on so well. read more

I love to get the Chicken Philly Sandwich. It's an awesome sandwich and has allot of meat so that you get your money's worth.

My son and I tried this place today and I'm glad we did. I had the western omelette with hash browns and toast and my son had the french toast.
