I thought I try out this place based on the reviews here...so I decided to venture in this morning, just a tad pass 10 am. Stepped in, there were two ladies cutting hair. I'm standing right at the counter and none of them bothered to even acknowledge. To give either one of them the benefit of a doubt, I wait another minute, and still...they are just going about their business. It only takes a few seconds to at least say something, anything...instead of pretending that you didn't notice I walked in. I just left. Sad part is, they probably could care less. read more

I would travel down from San Jose just to get my hair cut here again. I came here several months ago. Christina listen to me and gave me her honest opinion on what she was going to do to my hair. I asked for long layers and side bangs and it came out super nice. After getting my hair butchered somewhere else I don't think I would want to risk going elsewhere. read more

Visited this salon with my mother yesterday. She wanted to get her grays filled in at a reasonable price. We checked with 5 salons before we drove up to here and were happy with the price. Quality work too my mother was ecstatic! Great friendly atmosphere. I found this salon using yelp. It had good customer reviews so I decided to give it a try. They washed my hair and even massaged my scalp. Christina dried my hair, straightened it and then cut it. I love my hair! I made an appointment but I wasn't sure what I wanted done. Christina greeted me with a smile and was very friendly. She gave me some options and considered how much I was willing to chop off. My once long and thin hair is now bouncy and full of volume. Christina also offered me some advice about how to care for my hair. I did not know but Jimmy's salon also offers waxing. Since I was there I decided to have my eyebrows waxed. I went in yesterday to get a trim. The lady (don't know her name) initially told me it would be $20 to trim my layered hair. Then after waiting for 15 minutes for my turn she said it would be $25 instead since my hair was long. I had my hair down when for her to see when she initially gave my my first quote. She left my front layers completely uneven. She could have easily checked but didn't. I didn't realize it until I got home since I didn't do a thorough job of my hair since I assumed she knew what she was doing. The place itself is old and it doesn't look like they sanitize their hair utensils. I would not recommend this place at all to anyone. I thought of going back to ask her to fix my hair but don't want to risk her messing it up even more!! read more

Been back a couple times since my first review, I change my hair color almost once a month and every time I come it just gets better and better. Tony and Lee are a husband and wife team, cutting men's and women's hair. They have over 40 years of combined experience and do excellent work. Since moving to Gilroy I've been getting my haircut consistently from Tony. He always gives me a great haircut at a more than fair price (I always pay $15 but the price is $12).
