Salmon sushi was melt-in-your-mouth good, but everything else was stale. We ordered the Mr. Sushi roll and it was such a weird flavor combo while also surprisingly bland. The tempura batter was soft and stale, making the entire thing textureless. Onto the Volcano roll. Once again, stale, bland, and crumbled apart so easily, I couldn't even use chopsticks. Stopped into Mr. Sushi for a quick lunch. I had only ever ordered uber eats from here before so I never got to see what the place looked like inside. It's small and in a strip mall, not much on the aesthetics, but the food and service were great. My boyfriend got the Shrimp Hibachi lunch special. He wished they would have gave him more shrimp and less noodles, but was overall good. I got the Fried Shrimp Shumai and a shrimp tempura roll (was a big day for shrimp lol). I enjoyed both but the shrimp tempura roll was a bit hard to eat cause they put two shrimp in each piece and it was rather large around. I wish they made the pieces smaller and served more than 6. The order took about 10-15 mins to fulfill, not certain why because they had items pre-prepped, single serve wrapped. From what I could hear while sitting, waiting, they were heating food in the microwave. The Volcano Roll was underwhelming and small in comparison to the cost ($14 per the wall menu) and how it's prepared and presented in most other places. The topping was more breadcrumb than the standard topping, flavor was reasonable but i went specifically for that and would not go back for it. Additionally ordered the miso soup and 2 Eel sashimi, hoping to have leftovers for the next day. But no, between portions and presentation alone, I just wouldn't. The experience as a whole felt like ordering slow fast food, with dine-in & service prices. The total came out to $23 (plus tip).
