St.p Roll Alaskan Roll Yellowtail Scallion Tamago Roll
    Mark G.

Mr Sushi has quickly become one of our go-to spots whenever we're craving something fresh, flavorful, and reliably delicious. We usually order a spread to share, yellowtail, the St. Pete roll, the mango roll, and tamago sushi and every time, the quality is spot-on. The fish is fresh, the rolls are perfectly balanced, and the flavors never disappoint. But what really sets Mr Sushi apart is the manager. He's not just welcoming, he has a way of making you feel like you're part of a community. He remembers you, greets you warmly, and creates an atmosphere that feels both personal and inviting. It's rare to find a place where the food and the hospitality are equally excellent, but Mr Sushi nails it every time. If you're looking for sushi that's consistently great and a place that feels like home, this is it. Today was a perfect sign of it. The manager came round and checked on us because we didn't order the Mango Roll we always order. It was because we tried the Karaage chicken they were promoting. Which was so so good. The attention and consideration can't be beat.

Stopped into Mr. Sushi for a quick lunch. I had only ever ordered uber eats from here before so I never got to see what the place looked like inside. It's small and in a strip mall, not much on the aesthetics, but the food and service were great. My boyfriend got the Shrimp Hibachi lunch special. He wished they would have gave him more shrimp and less noodles, but was overall good. I got the Fried Shrimp Shumai and a shrimp tempura roll (was a big day for shrimp lol). I enjoyed both but the shrimp tempura roll was a bit hard to eat cause they put two shrimp in each piece and it was rather large around. I wish they made the pieces smaller and served more than 6. Either way it was yummy.

Another yummy meal from Mr. Sushi! Food was ready to go when we picked it up and tasted as fresh and delicious as always. Tried the Mango Tuna Roll and Fire Phoenix Roll this time in addition to our normal rolls - both were great!

I wish we had a better experience here. We came because of what we read on Yelp. Everything was just ok and the service was a little off. The server wasn't the kindest to my mom. We ordered the lunch special, which was an amazing deal. Although this spot is set up more for takeout, you can still dine in. They have a good amount of tables inside. My mom wasn't a fan of the miso soup because it tasted a little burnt. The rolls we got were just ok. I ordered the salmon avocado roll and the eel avocado roll. They accidentally brought me the wrong order, but kindly fixed it immediately. The quality of the fish was just fine. It was nothing to write home about.

I ordered off of there lunch menu. I got two rolls and a soup for 11.77 which is not bad. I love the spicy crab sushi roll, but I didn't really like the shrimp tempura. They also charge you if you want spicy mayo and eel sauce 0.75 each

The Ohio Roll. It has Escolar, cream cheese, avocado, it's fried and then the put fish eggs and crispy things on top. Amazing!

To hell with sushi burritos. My favorite sushi spot now makes sushi tacos. Amazing!

Went in on a Saturday for lunch and it was amazing! 3 roll lunch special for $14! I got a can of sprite as well and it was also served with miso soup or salad. Rolls were good size with plenty of fish. Will definitely be back again. Lady at the counter was very nice and I didn't wait long for my food.

Lowkey spot with quality sashimi. I usually drive all the way to Tampa or Clearwater for chirashi but was happy to find this restaurant less than a mile from my house. Salmon, escolar, and hamachi tasted fresh and served as nice chunky slices. I always appreciate cute plating, and they included some shredded daikon as well as sliced strawberry and blood orange, which were great palate cleansers. Good shrimp/veggie tempura appetizer; they use actual tempura flakes, not just breadcrumbs! Two customers got to-go orders while I was eating and service is friendly but efficient, not too busy, a nice place to enjoy a quiet lunch.

The sushi's amazing! The pieces are very big and filling, also very unique to most sushi places! I would definitely come back.

No need to go into how many I had :) and it was not vodka but it was good! We started with the miso soup and ginger salad. Soup was delicious. The salad had a variety of greens and was a welcomed change from iceberg salads of many a Japanese restaurant . We then moved onto salmon sashimi. It was fresh and delicious. There were three generous pieces to the order. Then we had the hand rolls/tacos. Kelsey got them from "the other side" of the restaurant because they weren't in the lounge menu and I asked about them. They were small but shockingly filling. Loved them. I got the salmon ponzu and my friend got the spicy salmon. We both loved what we got. Then we got the scallop w/caviar. She asked about wanted nigiri versus sashimi and we opted for no rice. It was amazing. I highly recommend. Then we did the district roll and the dragon roll, both were great and different. I forgot to mention I am not a spicy fan and that the spicy could be in the side. Otherwise perfect. We ended with the Peking duck roll. Also delicious! But we were stuffed by this point. Marisol, the chef, was very creative in her presentation. Every dish was a work of art. Can't recommend this restaurant enough!! Go there!

The ceviche was phenomenal and had great presentation; we also opted for the hamachi carpaccio both toasted and raw. The toasted was a bit under flavored and felt like it was missing something (not their fault we asked for it toasted). We also had the carnitas bao buns which were a delightful treat. The salmon lover roll was absolutely delicious as well had a nice fruity flavor along with it. And lastly, we originally came for the hand rolls (which are no longer on the menu) but they made an exception for us and they were phenomenal. Overall, would come back only 4 stars because everything began coming out at the same time and didn't have a pace to it.. cozy fun vibe! PS.. Our waiter Gabriel was only his second day and he was absolutely amazing and knowledgeable!

Chef Daniel clearly takes a lot of pride in his craft, sourcing fresh fish multiple times throughout the week and putting real thought into every dish. What really stands out is the attention to detail. The rice is perfectly prepared, with each grain having the right texture and balance, which is something a lot of sushi spots overlook. It makes a huge difference. A quick heads up though, this level of quality takes time. If you are in a rush, this might not be your spot. Chef Daniel is focused on doing things right rather than fast, and while he could scale up and bring in more chefs, that is not the experience he is going for. The service was stellar with the staff being exceptionally attentive, regularly inquiring about our needs and providing us with fun facts I wanted to know about the space, during our time with them for a bit at the bar. The food was incredible. A scratch kitchen, everything was delectable and reasonably priced. We went during happy hour by chance and got one of the plates we planned to get anyway for 10 dollars which was a steal. All of the food was fantastic. The taco and nachos shells were crisp with a light, non-greasy texture. The salmon was seasoned well but not overly so where you couldn't taste it's freshness. The textures were perfect and temperature of a everything came out correctly. My favorite item was the spicy tuna rolls that were perfectly wrapped, loaded with fish and had the most perfect texture and flavor of any roll I've ever had! 11/10 As someone very skeptical of consuming raw fish in places they're not native I say confidently the care taken here to acquire their fish is evident. Last but not least .. the milkbread. When I learned this was a scratch kitchen I knew I had to try it so this was a last minute add. Boy was I do happy I did. All the seating is around the sushi bar, it is a small venue but a very traditional vibe of a sushi/omakase experience My wife and I have done a lot of traveling including to Japan and we absolutely love these because you get 1-1 times with an experienced sushi chef, getting explained where every fish came from and every ingredient. One cool thing that sushi sho rexley did is that they told you specifically how to eat each bite to maximize flavors. The chef and the host were friendly and patient with our questions. Arte, the host gave us a run down of the sake and even let us try some in order to decide, we ended up getting a variety of 7oz pours. The fish quality was extremely fresh and some of them were in house aged with different things such as citrus or fungi which gave such a texture explosion. I was with my wife, my 3 month old baby and my mom and we celebrated my birthday this day and Arte brought out a Japanese cake on the house which was very thoughtful.
