A friend who works in Waterbury and lived here for 16 years recommended Jimmz for a moving day thank you for my friends. As she's from New Jersey and I'm from NY and Italian, I trusted her judgment (and glad I did). I ordered two large combos (pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, onion, mushroom) and one small cheese for a friend's daughter. Picked it up 20 minutes later, delicious steam rising from the box with the heavenly aroma of everything we love about pizza. We were so hungry we devoured them. I thought I still took pictures, but can't find them now. Just know they were picture perfect, the vegetables used were fresh and the sauce was fresh. The pizzas were fabulous. Sauce was homemade, employee owned, and the owner was friendly, supports North Country Animal League and I actually got a dog from them, very busy yet still had delicious food and great service, and ambiance was perfect for a pizzeria! Needed a quick pizza fix and decided to try it. I was a little afraid because I had seen some bad reviews, but it looked like there were some good recent reviews (although two of the people only had 1 review and I'm usually skeptical of those one review people). But sometimes you just have to take one for the team and give it a try. They have slices at the counter and have a few beers/ciders available, and a cooler with soft drinks. We ordered a small broccoli & onion pizza which was delivered to our table pretty quickly, which I assumed it would be because the place was pretty empty. And it was hot. Well, if you're a pizza connoisseur, this isn't the place for you. Overall the pizza was pretty tasteless. I think I tasted some tomato sauce, but it was definitely not homemade. I know there was cheese on the pizza because I saw some white stuff, but it had no taste. The broccoli and onions were good (they use red onions). It was a thin crust pizza that was crispy, not droopy. They charge a 3.75% surcharge on credit/debit cards. One nice thing they have going for them is they have flyers on a bulletin board for the pets for adoption from the North Country Animal League. However, as we were leaving, my wife uttered to me "That was gross." They do have a deck for outdoor dining, but they only have some old, weather-beaten picnic tables out there. If I'm desperate during a winter storm and don't want to drive, they have delivery, so maybe I'll break down and call them. read more

It is tradition for us to stop at this restaurant every time on our way to Smugglers' Notch Resort. We usually get it on the way back as well. They have some of the best pizza I've ever had. I wish I could give it five stars but unfortunately this time on our way out we tried to stop and it said they were open online and it said they were open on their door but when we got there they were closed. I still can't recommend this place enough just wish they were more clear about when they are open and when they are not open. read more

Went here for dinner with the family. My wife and son had the BBQ chicken pizza. If you like excessively sweet BBQ, then you will like the pizza. Otherwise, it was just okay. Went here last week while on vacation. Coming from the Philly area we have pretty solid food to judge by. We took advantage of ten dollar pizza day (forget which day it was maybe Wednesday) and it was a good choice. Ordered a pizza last night as well as a house salad. Pizza was good but when I opened the salad I realized I was given a Greek salad not house. Obviously they aren't paying that much attention to the ticket order because it had someone else's name on it. I'm a huge pizza fan from New York City area and these guys sure make champ pizza that puts some of my favorite pizzerias in New York City to shame, because it's amazingly perfect in terms of crust (the best part), sauce, cheese. Sauce is sweet and sticks to the pizza. I loved the bottom was just as crisp too! I stopped in with my girlfriend intended to eat one slice, ordered another one then ended up taking a pie home with us. If your going to Stowe, pick up a pie, you won't be disappointed.
