Omg NOSTALGIA hit! Their burgers reminded me of Dairy Freeze that used to be on 161st and Vermont. We are definitely coming back. Their burgers are big. Money well spent. Their fries were good. My go to spot for lunch because it's close by but watch out for the drive thru at lunchtime it can get crowded. Food is not bad they have your basic fast food menu with a couple of extra options I like them because they have shakes made with real ice cream. read more

Jim's burger is a neighborhood staple in the outskirts of Gardena sits this beautiful burger stand. The workers here are top notch very friendly, and always work to customers satisfaction. We love coming here my family and I been loyal to this establishment 10+ years. The breakfasts here without a doubt are their specialty. Their hamburgers and FRIED chicken sandwiches are awesome. I am a huge fan of this place! I have been here for breakfast and lunch. They have these GIANT breakfast burritos that could almost rival the size of a newborn. I swear they are 5 lbs a piece! I never can finish one so I usually split a few of them with others. I get 3 burritos: the Denver and the Ham and I split them between 6 other people. It is more than enough to feed 6 full grown adults! These burritos are also cooked right there on the spot! Often in the mornings, I will watch them scurry around making these delicious wrapped meals and the speed at which they do this is impressive. I have also been here for lunch and ordered everything from the Crispy Chicken Sandwhich to the chicken salad. Everything I have eaten here is delicious, fresh, and hot! All my favorite things together! The staff here is super friendly, nice, helpful and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone as their menu is VERY extensive ranging from burgers, to salads, to Mexican food to, sandwiches. You won't be disappointed! 6/19/2019 It's 7:35PM.. according to Google, they close at 8:00PM (on here says 10:00PM.) We are waiting at the order box in the drive thru, silence. Husband says hello, no response. Two cars ahead of us, one getting food, one waiting. First car drives off, second car pulls up. We are still at the order box. It's now 7:50 so we decide to drive straight up to the window. The girl walks away, husband tries to get her attention, she says CLOSED thru the window. It's not even 8:00PM yet. I have to physically get out of the car and tell her that we have been sitting in the drive thru waiting to order for more than 20 minutes. They refuse to acknowledge and keep shrugging their shoulders. No contact for complaints, have to wait to call tomorrow. Stopped here for a quick meal. I just wanted 2 tacos and beans. It cost me 10+$, and the chicken tacos has a 3-4 hard things that I bit into and had to spit out. I'm not sure if there were bones, but I didn't look at it to see. I wouldn't recomment. For much less, I could have few tacos and a cup of beans, and they would have been higher quality. read more

Another grease joint to replace a grease joint. I liked Steve's but they never upgraded their look at all. It looked old so now that Jim's took over, at least it looks a little newer and cleaner. I tried it out just to see if it's any different. I wasn't too hungry so decided to try their Jr Burger and 4-pc Chicken Nuggets. Both are on their 99cent menu. The burger was pretty good. I would definitely buy this again for a snack. Actually it's a good size for the price. The taste was there and the veggies were crisp and fresh. The nuggets were those frozen ones you find in your freezer dept at Ralph. Bleh. Don't bother. Should have known better with those. The drive thru was okay. Pretty quick but since these types of places cook to the order, it usually calls for a long wait. No different here. I want to try their Chili Fries, Gyro, Club, and breakfast next time. That's a pretty good gauge for food at these types of places. So far so good. Just avoid the nuggets for sure. read more

It's annoying to me that this place doesn't list their prices at the drive thru and a good rule to go by since they don't is just to assume all plates are $10 or little more than that. Want a cheeseburger combo? Yes that's $10 something. Food is incredibly stellar, just regular burger joint kinda food. Steve's has been bought out and it is now officially the #9 location for Jim's Burgers. Jim's Burgers is actually expanding pretty well! Typical local burger joint that serves up everything from Greek gyros, salads, burritos & tacos, to steak & eggs. This place is still popular for its chili fries. You can even add pastrami on top of it and turn it into the ultimate chili cheese fries. I've tried several things from the new Jim's, and my favorite is still the old American classics like BLT, pastrami sandwich, or a plain ol' cheeseburger. Teriyaki chicken is sorta... no good since the teriyaki sauce is a little bit too salty and the rice... well let's just say I don't trust anybody but Asians to steam up a good batch of white rice haha. Portions here are pretty big. Price is typical for places a local neighborhood burger joint. If you work around here, it might just be a better option than the McDonald down the street or Fabulous a few blocks down. read more
