My bro and I are in the area to attend an event but being we arrived a little too early we decided to kill some time and come here. The place looks good, better than most small little sports bar I've been to, It's not divey but definitely has that small community bar feel. Our bartender Micaela greeted us as we came through the door which I thought was very sweet (which to be honest a lot of bartenders could learn from in LA) we found a seat at the bar and there got our bums settled haha, they have several beers on tap and an assortment of whiskey and hard liquors to your enjoyment. We ordered a pint of 805's then some more to kill some time until it is time to head to the event place. Overall, the reviews did this place justice and we're glad we stopped by Bewley's, cool spot and nice bartenders. Thumbs up!

My first thought was..... What an interesting name for a neighborhood bar. My friend and I had a really good time. The vibe was cool, we had chili cheese fries and hot wings and enjoyed a few drinks. The food and the drinks were delicious, we had a great time. Friendly people, cool bartenders, an overall good time.

Great service! Great Dj. Drink specials every day and night. Street parking everywhere. Diverse crowd. Affordable and chill. Great place to get out of the house. And the drinks are poured well! Just go, you won't regret it. Been looking for a neighborhood spot like this. Also clean!I'll be back. Had to ask for extra coke in my jack lol

Best bartenders ever! This is a great local spot. Come in and check them out. Good drinks, great music.

Strong inexpensive drinks (my Bombay Gin 'n Tonic is less than $9), sports on several screens, and occasional food make this a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon or evening. It's a sports bar, with lots of Dodgers and Lakers fans, Rams and Clippers too, even a few Raiders fans will come here for games. There's a regular who's a Niners fan - don't forget to ask him about the 2024 Super Bowl. $2 off shots for touchdowns & homeruns by the home team. Very diverse crowd, representative of Gardena. Several older customers during the day, then it skews much younger in the evening. There's a pool table, several dart boards, you can play keno and the lottery at the bar. They occasionally have a dj on weekends and a karaoke night during the week. Saturday and Sunday days are swell times to spend here. Customers occasionally bring food to share with everyone. The Saturday through Monday day bartenders (Lisa, Rel & Erin) are great to hang with. If you're a regular, they'll remember your drink as soon as you enter the bar. There's parking in back, and most people enter the bar from the back. Open every day until 2 am. Definitely stop by if you're in the area.

Waiters kept checking on us. Got the mild Buffalo Wings for $14 and Parmesan Fries for $6. The wings were good. The Parmesan Fries were really good, they didn't skimped on the Parmesan. Both dishes were small and came with ranch sauce. Got place to watch the games with friends. Not the place to have a conversation. The interior is neat and clean. There are various types of seating (bar; table; booth; high-tops; communal), and plenty of screens to watch sports. On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.

Small parking lot that may park about 5 cars and watch the street signs for parking. Pool table & full service bar. Mostly bar seating with a banquette along one wall. What made this bar cool is Sandra, la Reina de Moctezuma as she refers to herself. Breezy, lively, nonchalante, a bit coquettish to the "right guy", socially charming to her other guests. She creates her own story line to create her aura & drama. Author John Rechy, if he were straight, would have featured Miz Sandra in one of his novels like the City of Night. Ordered a pint of Guinness & Harp combination, but I didn't call it a "black & tan" in an Irish pub for historical reasons. But Sandra told me they don't have Harp, and suggested I do a Snake Bite instead which is half Guinness & Hard Cider. I opted for just Guinness since I wasn't in an experimental mood. Later, she was kind enough to let me sample a shot of the Strong Bow Hard Cider which was smooth, sweet, acidic with actual sour apple flavour. Next time I'll have to order the Snake Bite. Don't know how exactly Irish Sly Fox is with its grunge-garage rock music. But it's a good, unpretentious, local hang out. And of course, there's Sandra, la Reina de Moctezuma who is worth the visit. 4- stars
