We enjoyed our fine dining experience here. It is suitable for kids and adults. We were told it would be about a 30 minute wait but we'd get a call when our table was ready. When asked how long we had to get to the restaurant after the call, neither host wasn't able to answer the question. We walked down the road to shop while waiting. We got the call in less than 30 minutes and hurried back. The decor was simple but unique, and included over 30 plants and flowers throughout the restaurant. The restaurant had kids' menus for the kiddos, which was great! They had pictures to color and tic tac toe! One kid ordered chicken tenders and fries and the other ordered grilled cheese and fries. We ordered the shrimp appetizer to split, a Caesar salad to split, the shrimp risotto and the mahi mahi and shrimp entree. The shrimp appetizer was slightly lacking on the amount of sauce, but was good nonetheless. When they brought our salad, they also brought out the kids' food which was nice of them! The French fries with the kid meals were great, and both kids ate until they were full! I had the a taste of the mahi mahi and it was well seasoned but a bit lacking as there was no sauce on it to enhance the flavors. The shrimp risotto was served in a lobster cream sauce. It was delicious but very rich! The kids loved the idea of edible flowers with the adult meals! This place is not for a diner with a slim wallet - we paid for the amazing food and service provided, and it was money well spent!

Cool bar up top with a water view. The bread they give before your meal is absolutely amazing ! And my shrimp risotto was out of the world. Cesar salad was top notch. Service up top was good. Service in the actually restaurant was eh. I would recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere nicer in the area and are okay spending a little more.

Jewels by the sea

Jinks was amazing! Our server was so helpful and attentive the entire time. Cocktails were all great. And we got shrimp cocktail and calamari to start which were both delicious. Our main meal though, the jewels by the sea pasta and the wedge salad was AMAZING!!! Would definitely come back to Jinks!

Another great meal al fresco at Jinks. Got there for sunset and the weather was nice but crazy windy! Our server was good, and kept up with our drinks. We ordered the mahi tacos and the egg roll for apps. Both quite good and plenty for 4 people to share. For dinner we had the Caesar salad with shrimp. The salad was HUGE! Definitely enough to share, and I did! We also ordered the fish of the day which I believe was grouper and the shrimp capellini. All was very much enjoyed and of course the sunset views were beautiful.

The Tuna was AMAZING!

The Tuna was AMAZING! There were 12 of us & EVERYONE LOVED their meal. We'll DEFINITELY go back this week! It's unanimous! They are great to accommodate special dietary alternates to dishes. And the space is large & open with lots of light before sunset (we ate early so didn't see after dark.) SO SO YUMMY!

Went here twice for dinner within a week. First dining experience was great. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the fried shrimp, the shrimp pasta, and the Philly cheese steak. Fried shrimp was amazing. Almost tasted like New England Fried Clams with the breading. Shrimps were seasoned and very juicy. The fries were really good too with the seasoning. The shrimp pasta was great too; the shrimps were cooked to perfection and the pasta al dente. Very garlicky which I love. The cole slaw was not good. I didn't have the cheese steak, but the person who did said it was possibly the best he's ever had in his life! Second dining experience wasn't as great. We had a rickety table out on the gazebo. I had the New England Clam Chowder and it was insanely salty. This spot is probably hit or miss for the food. The ambiance is one of the main reasons to come here. It's right by the calm water and very nice for sunset.

Oysters that are DELICIOUS and FRESH, FRESH, FRESH!!!!

Ask the Community - Jinks Creek Waterfront Grille

Is there plenty of outdoor seating? Can reservations be made for outdoor?

Hi Linda - we have a lot of outdoor seating at Jinks - both a large upper deck and a waterfront gazebo. We do not take reservations for outdoor - it is first come, first sat. Reservations are taken for indoor dining only.

Do we need a reservation tonight for 4?

No you should be ok

Does Jinks Creek takes reservations for parties of 6 or more?

Yes. We actually had a RSVP for 13 which they sat us at 2 different tables, which was fine with us!

Are you open?

Our current hours are 5pm - 10pm, Wednesday - Sunday.

Is Jinks creek open for business yet?

We left a diff restaurant with an hr+ wait bc this place supposedly only had a 20-30 min wait. We arrived, checked in and were told when one specific table leaves that we could have their table. There were other open tables but told they didn't have the staff to serve them. So we waited 30 min. and that table did leave on time. However, during that time at least 2 or 3 other parties came to the restaurant and were sat in those empty tables. We were told they had prior reservations AND that apparently they had someone already coming to fill the table we were originally promised. We could wait another 30-45 min for someone else to leave OR sit our 6 adults and 1 child separately at two high back booths with no contact. If it had been my decision I would have walked out immediately. No customer service by host or manager who came to hear it out. The rest of my party was too hungry to wait or go somewhere else so they sat separate and ate. I refused to give them my business and never will. VERY POORLY MANAGED and it obviously starts at the front of the house. My wife had the apricot salmon ($28) its was extremely bland. My 5 yr old son had shrimp and fries ($14!!) which were extremely mediocre at best. I've had better at Culver's. Restaurant looks poorly organized. Needs a renovation, and OBVIOUSLY some new staff who know how to provide customer service in a service industry. Ambiance was like a dive bar trying to serve food to survive. They won't be around long.

Everything here is PACKED with flavor. We tried a little bit of everything -- empanadas, fried yucca, chicken, soup -- and there wasn't a single miss. Every dish came out tasting fresh, well-seasoned, and like it was made with care. You can tell this isn't just your typical beach spot... this is legit. And the service? Just as impressive. Every table inside was completely full, so we sat outside on a beautiful day -- and even with how busy they were, the service was FAST. Our hostess was fantastic the entire time, super attentive and on top of everything. You'd never guess how packed they were based on how smoothly everything ran. The fried yucca was perfectly crispy, the empanadas were loaded and flavorful, and the chicken and soup tied everything together. Honestly, one of those meals where you keep saying "yo this is GOOD" after every bite. We made it a priority to come back this trip, and now it's officially a tradition whenever we're in Sunset Beach. If you're anywhere nearby and want something different from the usual seafood spots, don't sleep on this place.

Place was clean, the service was excellent and very friendly, albeit slow as it wasn't very busy on this off season week. The friendly service is what upped the stars. When it came out the everything wasn't toasted but we also didn't want to wait any longer. The bagels were definitely not boiled, and tasted like a piece of bread, not at all like a bagel. The size was ok, but for what we paid, just not worth it. I will stick to my rule of only eating bagels in NJ or north.

We also order two coffees - one iced one hot, orange juice, a sunrise smoothie and a mimosa from the bar. Our sweets order was: donut holes, an Oreo donut and a cinnamon roll. The bagels were all very fresh and made perfectly. The coffees were custom orders and delicious - I had a hot cinnamon hazelnut coffee and it was an amazing combination! The donut holes were our favorite sweet! You could tell they were made fresh! The service was outstanding and the ambience was ideal.
