Great views for the second floor dining area! It overlooks the IntraCoastal and the convergence of several rivers. Our server was friendly and helpful. I had Annie's Salad with Spinach, blueberries, candied walnuts, and mandarin oranges - great with blackened shrimp on top! What a cool spot! We don't usually make it up here because we're blessed with a bunch of good restaurants in the area but had been recommended this place by some friends in Ocean Isle. We came for dinner, but I definitely want to come back on a sunny afternoon to just drink and hang out. They had a live band and we were able to grab a drink while we waited for our table. Something I recommend because they don't do reservations. I got to enjoy the classic crush. Which was kind of like a screwdriver in slushy form. We didn't end up having to wait long and got to have dinner on the second floor. This place is huge! 3 levels so plenty of space. I got the stuffed fish which was I believe cod stuffed with crab and came with a baked potato and salad. My partner got the fried shrimp with chicken and that came with two sides as well. All in all for 2 drinks and 2 entrees plus tip we spent $85. A little bit expensive for the area and type of food but I definitely recommend stopping by this place if you're in the area. read more

Went to Inlet View for dinner after a long drive. We sat downstairs by the bar as we had kid dog with us. The bartender, Amanda, was super friendly, for our drinks and food quickly. I got steamed shrimp. They were perfectly cooked and were huge! Highly recommend! We will be back! read more

Came with my two gal pals around 11:30 today. My first time here. Sat on the third floor. Perfect weather today. Ordered the Jamaican me crazy first. It had a weird taste and no liquor. Next I had the inlet blue, tasty but again not really any liquor. I'm a lightweight so usually after one drink I feel something. Two different kinds and nothing. Ordered a bunch of apps to share. All were good. Crab dip and mushrooms were the best though. Service was very good. Had a nice 19 yr old young lady, forgot her name. The view is very nice too. Bathrooms clean, and it got very busy around noon, so we came at the perfect time. All in all we enjoyed our ladies day out. I would come again, but need a stronger drink. lol read more

8/2/26..surprise downpour. We were seated outside on the top deck. The wait staff did the greatest pivot in clearing tables. The owner/manager got our party of 8 reseated before our food could get cold. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. Gabby was an amazing server and followed us to our new table. Another waitress got us new drinks as we were reseated in her section. I unfortunately can't remember her name. This is a HOT spot on the water. Inlet view bar and grill is such a casual, relaxing place and the sunset view is spectacular. We enjoyed the breeze, boats and lights while enjoying our meal. We started with sea skins - seafood in potato skins! These alone were tasty and full of seafood. We also ordered a dish with mahi, and a salad with shrimp. The shrimp literally was the freshest Ive had and it almost felt like they were catching it and cooking it on the spot. We chilled outside and enjoyed the view and breeze. We went today for the first time! Very impressed! Exactly what we wanted! We sat on the rooftop and had calamari, a blackened mahi wrap, homemade chips and the seared tuna! All delicious and cooked perfectly! Nice portions. Our server, Mindy, was on the ball and kept us well taken care of. The views were beautiful! We were there for lunch and spent about $50 on 2 lunches, tea, coke & the calamari appetizer. The lunch crowd was definitely thinner being November which was great for us. We were also happy to see that Sam the owner was donating 10% of proceeds today to a local charity. Very generous and supportive of the community. We'll be back! read more

We were excited to try the Inlet view bar&grill. It was utterly disappointing. $50 bucks wasted. My husband had a rib sandwich and it was fatty and disgusting. I ordered the chicken tenderloin sandwich and it was tasteless and difficult to eat. They just stuck a huge pieces of chicken on a bun but no seasoning and not even pounded down. Sandwich just fell apart bc the pieces were just dumped on a bun. Service was ok but nothing to write home about. The hush puppies were the only saving grace. Fries served with sandwich were ok but dry. BBQ sauce didn't taste like BBQ. I would not go there again unless it's just for drinks and hush puppies. It's a secret recipe. I could have made lunch out of the hush puppies, they were that GOOD! The Tuna wrap was also very good. The soft shell crab sandwich special was excellent! The view was absolutely heaven in November. We sat on the 2nd level of this restaurant facing Shallotte River. It has 3 total levels and we will come back to sit on the top deck next time! The service was great. Our waitress asked us several times if we enjoyed our food & if we needed anything. An owner/manager also went around and asked every table if they enjoyed their food. Visiting from the Northeast where we are blessed with exceptional quality food and service, we still came in with easy going expectations, hoping for a solid seafood meal. First, upon arrival a cryptic looking woman with bad attitude told me of a short wait despite literally us being the only ones there - which is fine. The setting was pretty, it was okay. We got our table in ten minutes. The waitress was extremely cold/passive aggressive, hard to describe because I am not used to that. Maybe it was because we are two men and a baby...maybe because my accent is clearly north east. But I'm ready to spend hundreds and tip well, so be nice! I got the tuna, rare. Was pretty good. The spicy shrimp was mediocre - fried shrimp with spicy mayo. Acceptable, but not worth the price. Food came out incredibly fast. By the time the order was off my lips the shrimp hit the table. Obviously pre made sitting out rotting. The scallops. The. scallops. They looked good, I tasted one and it was decent. I didn't call my mom about it, but seemed fine. My partner ate most and was eating it slow with a puzzled look. I wasn't sure what was happening. Fast forward to the food poisoning -- bad. Bad bad. In summary, this cute restaurant in a tranquil setting is serving undercooked/rotten seafood and charging arms and legs for it. Not cute! read more

Fun place to go to while you're near Holden Beach, Ocean Isle Beach.. On the water you can sit inside or on the deck. We took 16 people and the service was excellent and accurate. The building is clean and efficient and there is a lot to look at. The music was a bit loud outside but overall another great visit! There is a variety of seafood options, salads, hamburger steaks, kiddie meals, good appetizers.. I had the Caesar salad and a crab cake. The location and atmosphere are amazing with the view you get of the marsh. Service was excellent and very attentive. We ordered some apps that came out pretty timely. The hush puppies were light and crispy, some of the best I've ever had. Our entrees on the other hand, did not come out timely.. The kitchen is either miss-managed or we caught them on a bad day. We waited a ridiculously long time for our meals. But about ten minutes into our wait one of the people in our party was told oysters were not available for his oyster and shrimp plate after he had already put the order in. This is something that should have been communicated to the servers before they took our order. It's common to tell servers you've had to 86 an item because it's not available..They told us he could not choose another entree but had to substitute the oysters as they were already frying the shrimp.. the food came out 45 minutes later. Drove in from Sunset Beach for dinner on a Sunday night. We reviewed the online menu before we left, but it didn't live up to the reviews online IMO. Seating was quick, but a bit confusing where to wait once we checked in. Can we go upstairs? Do we stay downstairs? It wasn't real busy, so maybe that is why we weren't sure Ordered the spicy shrimp app to start. Was lightly breaded, but not alot of sauce. Def NOT spicy, so don't let the name scare you. I ordered the Mahi Mahi (blackened) and it was very dry and seemed fishy for a mild fish. Had to ask for a side of sauce to help. Friend ordered the chicken and shrimp. Was good, but we were both served a potato with no butter or sour cream. By the time we notified the waitress and she returned, the potato was cold and the pads of butter were cold and hard. The sour cream came out in packets. Definitely made it a struggle to enjoy. Others ordered the Amy's salad which she was was delicious. Drinks were average. I've been here before in years past and had a better experience. Not sure I'd make the drive from Sunset again. read more

This place is very local but is advertised on the way to ocean isle beach. This place is a very nice east facing restaurant so you don't get blinded by the sun when you eat. This was my first visit to Inlet View and Grill but guaranteed it won't be my last. I went in there with 3 friends after playing golf and just had a real nice time. This place is a great local pub and had a real relaxed feel to it. Our waitress (April) was welcoming, outgoing and an efficient nice person. We all ordered various fish combos and every one of us were more than happy with the food, the portions and the quality of our order. I also want to mention that not one of us could finish our meal, the portions were more than generous. I highly recommend Inlet View if want good food, relaxing atmosphere and friendly/efficient service. I can't wait to go back! read more

Though the location is a bit of a drive for us from Ocean Isle Beach, the atmosphere was worth it in the past. The food and service is good and there are rarely long wait times, but they have recently restructured their menu pricing. They have added a POS type system that does not reflect the prices shown on the menu. They have basically gone to a al-a-carte pricing which takes the base menu price and adds for all sides and extras. We will not be going back anytime soon, at least until we hear that they have gone back to their original menu price structure. At their current price structure, they are extremely over price for the quality of food. read more
