The food is incredible. I can't even describe how tender and delicious the meat is. This is some of the best food I've ever tasted. It is that good. Aside from the food, the atmosphere is nice and casual, and relaxed, and the staff is very friendly. The food is on the pricier side, but well worth it. I ended up paying about $17 for a meal for one. I just wish they had more beverage options, and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the lemonade, although it was very refreshing it seemed more like a lemon water infusion than lemonade. It is a fairly small restaurant, so you have to get the timing right. but the wait is worth it because the ramen is amazing. my favorite is the spicy creamy VEGAN!! ramen. it seriously hits the spot. they have all kinds of different ramen for any kind of ramen lover. there isn't much parking directly in front of the building, but there is parking behind it. overall, i really love this place and it is worth going to for a good bowl of ramen. read more

I'm a regular at Jinya. I can't say it's the best ramen I've ever had, but it's pretty darn close. I've tried several different kinds of broth and toppings here and I've settled into 2 favorites: the Sprouting Up Ramen (tonkotsu broth) and Slurp Up Cilantro (chicken broth). The broth is wonderful, although I've been there at times when the depth of flavor was lacking a bit. Better consistency would earn them 5 stars. But other than that, I've always been pleased with the food. The brussels sprouts are delicious and the gyoza are TO DIE FOR. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone- always a favorite. read more

The restaurant design has a very modern and urban feel to it with cool decor and a nice plate presentation the moment you sit down. I ordered the Tonkotsu Black ramen with added corn and a poached egg on the side. The broth was extremely flavorful and the pork was wonderfully tender! I love coming to this place. I love the ramen and atmosphere. I always get a spicy chicken ramen, the bean sprouts in it are really good with the thick noodles. The building is cute and small, very personal. Almost too personal. There is always a wait since it is so small and everything is so crowded. Even the waiting area there's no room. I was very surprised they made they made this building a ramen place right after it being a Starbucks. I think they need more space for it being so busy. The other location is a lot bigger and they have a full bar. It would be awesome to see this one turn to that. read more

Loved this place. The menu has plenty of options besides ramen. We got the California poke roll and my girl got the chicken ramen with the pork broth. I was impressed how good everything was you can tell the broth took all day to make it was filling and rich. The waiter service was great he was helpful and genuinely interested in making sure we had all we needed. Only thing I didn't like was that we had to wait to sit wait to order and then wait to eat then once the waiter brings the check we were rushed to pay immediately. I ordered the JINYA Tonkotsu Black ramen, and honestly, it tasted delicious. There were a number of problems though, which will prevent me from ever eating there again. The first problem was that it contained two bite-sized pieces of chicken, one egg, and then lots of noodles. Noodles don't cost much, so when I ended up paying over $13 just for the ramen (no extra toppings, no drink, nothing), I was upset. I won't eat here again, because I'm not willing to pay a premium for the hipster environment. This place really seems to want to nickel and dime people. The already high price of the ramen would be more palatable if it contained more. As it stands, if you want to add any toppings, you have to pay between $1 and $9. $9 gets you a slice of brisket. $1 gets you a slice of butter. Butter costs an extra dollar?!? I didn't add any toppings, because I expected that for $13 it would be a robust offering already. Next, I didn't order a drink, but the people that I went with did. This place only has cans of soda. The first one you order comes out in a glass, so you don't know that it wasn't from a soda machine. Then, the waitress asks you if you want a refill. Assuming the refill will be free, like it is almost everywhere else, you say yes, and the waitress brings you a can. You have to pour it yourself and you have to pay for another drink. It was a classic bait and switch. It was dishonest, and it really bothered me. One final note: it was extremely loud in the restaurant, so I had to yell to talk to my friends. So, if you don't want to talk to the people you are with, or you are alone, and you don't care how much stuff costs or getting good value for your money, feel free to spend it here. Excellent food! The only drawback is the accommodation for the restaurant goers. It is so jampacked that it it is difficult to enjoy your meal without feeling rushed so the next people can get seated. It is a very tiny restaurant and the wait is long, especially on the weekends. I walked in to a woman on her phone, which happens every time by the way -- I try to get her attention by saying various things TWELVE TIMES before she finally realized someone was there. The stupidity of some of the employees here is unreal. Once she responded, I said I needed a table of 4, to which she responded "I'll go ahead and get you seated when everyone's here" while they were walking into the building from the car in the parking lot. I loved the atmosphere of this place. As you walk in it gives off a modern Japanese look. It has some really cool decorations that give it a high end look. The customer service was great, but maybe they could re arrange the payment system they have going on. It's a little too small to pay at the front; might be better to pay sitting down like a traditional restaurant. I ordered Spicy Tonkontsu and a Mango Tea. My only complaint is the straw was too small to fit the mango chunks in the drink. As well I wish they had rice noodles as an option. I couldn't tell if they ran out or they just didn't carry it.
