My boyfriend and I came to Yoko's after visiting the Hogle Zoo. It was our first time there and we ended up parking in the back since the front was full. The location is set in this fabulous little (from what we can tell) old apartment building. You have to climb up some narrow steps and wander through the "living room" before heading to the back to order, just follow the signs. The server was super kind and helped us pick our order and delivered it to us at our table. We got the Pork Ramen and Chicken Ramen with Kimchi. The pork belly had great flavor and the texture was so soft and tender. I wish there had more of it. While the katsu chicken was delightfully crunchy and was abundant. Something that I loved about the ramen was the seared veg, it really added another level of complexity to the dish then pairing it with the sour and tart of the kimchi was excellent! Definitely worth another visit the next time we are in town!

This place has the best ramen. I enjoyed eating it from here. Their wings are delicious; I highly recommend them. They are a must-try!

Personal experience: So, I've been here before back in 2018 with a friend and forgot how amazing the food is here. I absolutely love the decoration here but it is really small so the amount of space is limited. They do have weird hours so make sure you come during those hours of operation. Food: The ramen itself was SO good. The broth was well made and the fried chicken was something different but worth the experience. Service: Okay. The service that day was really poor. The employee had this huge attitude and honestly just didn't fit with the vibe. I understand that we arrived 30 minutes before closing but we left 5 minutes early than we expected so we ate really fast. Overall the service could of been a little better

The food was amazing! I thought I had tasted good ramen at some other places, but this was so flavorful. The chicken and daily veggies really made everything come together really well. The restaurant was clean, and the outdoor seating was really nice. The woman that served us was polite as well. I'm only withholding five stars because there was no soda fountain machine, just expensive bottles. Lots of alcoholic drinks too if that's your jam! It's pricey to get the additions, but it's definitely the way to go.

It's been awhile since I have been here. This past Friday was perfect soup weather with the snow. I was at the office and Yoko was a five minute walk. I went to pick up some food for the three of us in the office: one veggie ramen, one pork ramen and one chicken ramen with one order of the pork gyoza and one of the veggie gyoza. The pickup process was very smooth. They packed all the food well for me to trek the 5 min walk back to the office. The veggie ramen was okay. The broth was on the salty side. The pork and the chicken ramen both were made with a chicken broth. No Tonkotsu here. The broth was again pretty decent, a bit on the salty side again. I think the pork gyoza was the best part of the meal. I was looking for a warming meal. It serves it purpose no more no less.

Best vegan and vegetarian ramen option in the city. This is a no frills business downtown with pork, chicken, and great veggie options. Excellent stop for a quick lunch when you're on a time pinch!

I ordered the pork Goya and they came out wrong both times you can't serve raw pork I highly recommend not getting them. The new help needs to be trained better.

It was a cold, blustery fall afternoon. We were famished and in need of a warm meal. Yoko Ramen was there to save the day! Their mild-mannered and understated exterior, that blends in with its surroundings, is only a disguise for the powerful flavors inside. The young man who took our order was helpful, intelligent and courteous. He made suggestions for our order and served it with a smile (not all that common in this crazy world). The unique vegetarian gyoza came out faster than a speeding bullet and was scrumptious, the dipping sauce divine. Cooked perfectly, we devoured it before taking a photo. The steaming vegetarian ramen entered the scene shortly afterward and filled us with comfort and calm. All was right in the world, with a bowl full of vegetables, noodles, egg, and broth. We slurped to our heart's content and then went on our way back into the struggle, strengthened by the super-powers of Yoko Ramen. P.S. As we were leaving we saw Coach Frank Layton on the sidewalk, heading to The Other Place, next door. I wanted to suggest he have ramen instead, but he was in a wheelchair and I don't think Yoko is accessible. Should have told him to get it delivered!

This was my first time trying ramen and I liked it! It isn't the most flavorful food i've ever had but it was tasty enough. We ordered a pork ramen, a chicken ramen, pork gyoza, and fries. Our food came out super quick which was nice! The fries were the highlight of the meal. SO good and tons of seasoning! The pork dumplings were all so pretty tasty but in a unique way. The ramen was decent but also way expensive for what it was. It was $16 per bowl, Gyoza was $9 and I can't remember how much the fries were. Overall good meal just overpriced.

Highly recommend getting extra egg in your ramen. I got mine to go but the egg is softer boiled than normal places! So yum! Their flies are gross and annoying but that's okay. I think it's a beautiful building and I like that they offer outside seating

My favorite ramen place in Utah! The service is fast, the ramen is DELICIOUS, and the restaurant is clean! The decorations are really fun and make it a vibe. My only wish is that the tables were spaced out a bit more so it didn't get so loud! We came on a busy Friday, and it felt a little cramped! Overall, the lack of space is very very worth this incredible ramen.

the veggie ramen was okay. the roasted veggies and the texture of the ramen noodles were good. what i didn't love was the broth-- it's more of a sour soup, which wasn't bad, but if you're expecting a more traditional tasting ramen, it's not that. the portion was large, but i wish there was some sort of protein added, like tofu. the place is like a house, so it's very cozy inside. it gets very loud inside. there's outdoor seating as well. you order at the register and they bring out the food to your table.

How is the take-out portion of ramen? Is it a decent size portion with a good amount of substance?

The one time I did takeout it was same amount as eat in and just as satisfying. They put the noodles and soup into separate containers so the noodles didn't get soggy. I can never eat the whole serving in one sitting (but I also always get gyoza as…

When does Yoko Ramen open? I'm super excited to check this place out.

We Googled this place and said let's give it a try. We walked in and to note we are not Caucasian. There were a few people people at the bar and ooh the looks we received as why are they here. However, the girl at the counter was pleasant to us when we walked in. We decided to sit inside since no one was at the tables and they were a few people outside, not buy at all and it was around 8:30pm We sat down the waitress, Asian lady was not rude but not friendly. No greeting, asked if we wanted water. She got the water, placed it down a little hard and that was that. We looked at each other and said oh lord, here we go. We sat for about 20 minutes before our order was taken. I mentioned it was not busy. Once we ordered it had taken another 20-25 to get our food and you CA. See below what we ordered it shouldn't have taken that long. Anywho, we received our food, then you can feel the Asian lady energy started to change for the better. She talked to us and was engaging. However, interesting experience. We ordered the following: Chicken Karaage - 5/5: This was good and the sauce that came along with it was good. I needed more for the amount of chicken that was given. Miss soup 5/5: it was good and not salty, just enough flavor. Salad 3/5: the salad was good, I should have ordered the salad dressing on the side, it was bit much on the salad. Shrimp tempura maki roll 5/5: fresh and good. Nice size cuts not too big or small. Veggie Maki roll 5/5: fresh and good. I would return if ever back in Utah.

We arrived before opening and joined the queue outside since they don't take reservations. This isn't terribly unusual for a sushi restaurant, but a reservation system would still be very welcome for convenience. The restaurant had a fun, buzzy atmosphere and stayed lively throughout our visit. Once we finally made up our minds on what to order, everything came out pretty quickly. Once we dug in, we realized why it was so popular. We tried the sake tataki, aburi gindara, New Zealand salmon sashimi, and albacore tuna sashimi. Everything was fresh and flavorful, but the tuna was the clear standout for me and easily my favorite dish of the night. The umami hit SO hard.
