Updating review to reflect last night's experience. I recommended One Noodle to my friends as they're having a BOGO deal. We came in half an hour before closing and were told it was take-out only. Because the deal is for dine-in, it didn't apply, which is reasonable. However, when I asked for the punch card to be stamped, they refused and said that's for dine-in only as well. We had purchased five bowls of ramen and they refused a simple stamp. This interaction alone makes me not want to return to this location or make the recommendation to my friends. read more

I had been to One Noodle Bar before in Sandy, and they recently opened another location in Millcreek. I really like the decorations they have; feel like I'm in one of those cute little shops in Japan! For the appetizers, we got the fried calamari. SO GOOD! It was hot and fresh, the thickness and cripsyness were just right, and I absolutely loved the yummy sauce that came with it (I think it was some kind of mentaiko sauce). Made my stomach really happy already. We got the black garlic bomb ramen and the shrimp yakiudon. I was slightly disappointed by the ramen soup, mostly because I had high expectations, considering noodles should be their expertise. It was still good, but the black garlic just tasted a bit different than how I would like it. BUT, the eggs were the authentic kind cooked to perfection, and I was satisfied. As for the yakiudon, it tasted great. The texture of the udon was nice. I was also surprised by how much shrimp there were - it was definitely great value! Overall, I had a good experience here. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. The only downside about this location is that they don't sell any poke bowls, but I would like to come back and try more things! read more

Seeing the grand opening flags for a food place always make me happy. I've been looking forward to this new ramen place ever since the sign went up. The best part is that it is right next to a smiths! You can stop by for groceries after having a yummy bowl of ramen. It's a very cute ramen shop with a modern twist. During their grand opening they had a special of buy one get one. I ordered the spicy duck ramen and the tonkotsu ramen. Both were really good. The spicy duck ramen broth is a miso broth base. It was super flavorful and does have a spicy kick to it. My experience with any of the spicy ramen is that I usually need to add a little bit more pepper, but this wasn't the case. The toppings that came with it was yummy. The egg perfectly soft boiled and seasoned. The noodles was cooked nicely with a good chew. The duck was tender and flavorful. The tonkotsu ramen was a different experience. The broth is your standard bone broth packed with flavor. The chasiu pork was yummy, tender and pack with flavor. Egg - yummy! Highly recommend this being the first ramen to try if you're new to ramen. The staff here are very friendly. If you don't know what to order they will recommend it thing to you. That's how I got to try the duck spicy ramen. I'm definitely coming back to try more stuff. read more

Second time here and honestly this is one of the better ramen places here. The menu is limited but that's a good sign because the care they put into the menu items is obvious. Compared to another new ramen spot this one blows it out of the water with the balance of flavor, noodles, meat, and the crunch from veggies without having to pay for extra toppings. Service is quick and friendly. The restaurant was extremely warm though which made it uncomfortable while eating hot soup. The chicken karage was juicy with lots of plump pieces. Parking is plentiful due to the fact it's in a strip mall and there's plenty of seating. read more

I tried this cute ramen place out with a friend. The restaurant was clean and decorated well, it had a fun vibe. We went at 5 pm on a Tuesday so it wasn't crowded at all. We had a very nice waitress and got our food quickly. We tried the gyoza, steamed pork buns, black garlic bomb and rich rich ramen. I loved how pretty the ramen bowls were and they came with plenty of ramen noodles. I wish the broth was hotter, temperature wise, and more flavorful. Personal experience: I absolutely loved the inside decor such a beautiful environment! I would totally recommend this place for a date or a friend meet up! I would like to add that the prices here are pretty reasonable but just in my order alone I did spent around $27 not including Tip! So, if you're looking for a cheaper ramen place then I would recommend something else! Food: I LOVED the ramen noodles! I did get the volcano Miso and the spice in it was like no other! The noodles were well cooked but the broth could have been a little better but would TOTALLY recommend this place . I did have a small plate of Takoyaki and of course they nailed it fresh when they came out just how I like them. Service: Was pretty good! I wouldn't complain! I went to the grand opening with some friends. I didn't know much about the restaurant so I viewed the menu online and saw spring rolls and poke bowls so I figured I'd be okay since I eat gluten free. Well.... Don't go here if you don't eat gluten. They don't actually have poke bowls at this location (their website doesn't show this location's menu yet so that was just a hope on my part). And I ordered the spring rolls and they're what I would call egg rolls. My friend said the Japanese word for that item translates to spring roll so I understand the confusion. My friend then asked them if they had anything gluten free and this was what they made me. Salted rice with egg and shrimp and onion. I just feel like $15 was a lot for this. I left feeling frustrated. Giving it five stars though because my friends were all very happy with their ramen and udon. Just definitely not a place for gluten free people! read more

I'd give the food a A-. It was tasty and well seasoned. I had the rich rich soup. The broth was flavorful, they did not skimp on the pork or the eggs or other ingredients. I ordered ahead and the online platform was simple and easy to navigate. The timing was great, as the food was ready upon pickup and plenty hot by the time I got it home. Almost starving, I came to one noodle bar for a quick take out bowl of noodles in the late afternoon. The interior was modern and contemporary and an efficient host came to the front to take my order. The one thing I was really impressed with was the speed in which my bowl of noodles was prepared. I was out the door in less than 5 minutes. I ate the dish off site and really wasn't impressed at all with the flavors. With other options I like more in the area, I doubt I'll return to One Noodle Bar. read more

We came for a weekday dinner and was sat fairly quickly. The service was attentive and kind. We ordered a combo of black garlic tonkatsu and the soft shell crab bun. We really enjoyed the soft shell crab bun. The bun itself was perfectly baked - soft and fluffy yet held up against the deep fried crab. The sauce used complimented the entirely very well. There was quite a bit of meat to the crab. Highly recommend ordering it. We thought the broth of the ramen was good but didn't love the texture of the noodles. They were thin and a bit too chewy. We liked the generous amounts of toppings but couldn't get over the noodles. Not to say it made the meal bad; we just would have preferred them a different way. Overall still a very good dinner! They have stamp card deals to entice you to come back! We will have to retry again. read more

Ordered takeout here for the first time and really enjoyed it! We had the Chicken Yakiudon and the Chicken Tatsuta. The udon noodles were really good and they used good chicken meat in small pieces (which I love). The ramen broth was really good and almost too salty but I still really enjoyed it. Me and my family love coming here! We've been to the other locations as well and the food never disappoints and is very consistent. Some things I recommend from the menu are the Spicy Tonkotsu, Yummy Duck, the fried chicken bun and Yakisoba. The ambiance of the millcreek location is also really nice! Finally, a ramen noodle joint near where I live. I ordered take out vegan ramen and a seafood ramen, with coconut shrimp appetizers and char siu bun. I was surprised at how nicely appointed the restaurant was. Nice, clean, modern place, with nice lighting. Service was prompt and efficient. I requested a 6 pm pick up and it came out exactly at 6 pm. The ramen broth was nicely seasoned and came separate from the noodles and fixings. The ramen noodles were nicely prepared. I was surprised and impressed. to find mussels in the shell in my seafood ramen. Delicious. The coconut shrimp were crispy and tasty. The char siu (chashu) bun was not like the char siu bao of my childhood, but it perhaps may be even better. The chashu bun is basically a thick square of bbq pork with some greens and hoisin sauce folded into a thick steamed flour bun, held in a fold with a toothpick. The flavor and textures reminded me of the char siu bao I've eaten in SF Chinatown and in Hong Kong. Pretty darn good. I'll be back for more soon. read more
