From start to finish they were very timely, friendly and helpful, and worked with me every step of the way with very good communication throughout. The work I needed done was a small job, to resurface/roof a covered balcony section of my roof that was in terrible condition, as well as needing the flat roof part of our home redone. I had half a dozen other contractors that either flat out said they wouldn't do the work-not worth their time- or ghosted us after saying they would provide a quote. Wojtek came on time to look at the job and listened carefully as I showed him the problems and explained the issues and difficulties and what needed to be done from my estimation. We discussed the work to be done and he agreed to give us a quote and to do the work pending approval of the estimate. His estimate came within 24 hours and was very fair. Scheduling the work was dependent on their busy job schedule, but Wojtek kept me in the loop at all times and ultimately they came sooner than they said they would and got the job done in a timely manner. The work needed on the balcony and adjoining pitched roof section was finicky, time consuming and required real attention to detail in order to get it all closed up and sealed properly. They did an amazing job with very high quality work and when they were finished left everything around our home cleaner than when they arrived. They are a great family owned and run business that does outstanding work. I recommend them highly and without reservation. So grateful to have found JJ Construction through Yelp and totally impressed of all reviews were a rating of 5. I highly recommend this father and son business, they are extremely professional, responds back in a very timely manner. Rafal had to run a few times to the county to get the permit required but did not seem put out by the inconvenience of the matter. Rafal answered all my questions and explained what they would be doing, inspected all my boards to make sure for no weak existing boards, last minute I decided I should get an attic fan at this time and asked Rafal to see if he would install it, he was not put out by the request but explained he would put it in for me but I would have to get an electrician to hook it up which I understood, I was very appreciative he was willing to install it for me and he explained it would help with the cooling of the house. Rafal had to leave a few times for other jobs but stayed in constant contact with me and would come back to my job site to make sure things were going as planned. Rafal's crew is outstanding! They were very respectful, courteous, hard working, and did an amazing job cleaning up and Rafal even checked my yard/ driveway several times to see if anything was missed. I am extremely impressed that JJ Construction guarantees their work for 10 years! I also had researched ratings of shingles to buy and saw Ownen Corning has been rated in the top 5-10 brands and I was impressed that JJ Construction already used that brand as their product. My husband and I noticed a small leak on our roof this past spring and our front gutter had literally come loose and was sagging due to a rotted board behind the fascia and soffit. We contacted several local contractors to no avail. JJ Construction was the only one of five companies that actually came out to give us an honest estimate. Of all these places we contacted, Rafel was the only contracter that actually took a ladder from his truck and got up on our roof to inspect it and the gutter! I had my roof replaced by JJ Construction in August and wanted to let everyone know about the awesome experience that I had. I scheduled an estimate and Rafal came out. He gave me an estimate on the spot, what pleasantly surprised me is out of the number of other roofing contractors that I contacted his estimate was very detailed. Speaking with Rafal you can see the passion that he has for roofing, which is a good thing for someone working on your home to have. I signed the contract and the work was scheduled. I had requested that Rafal take a look at the ventilation as well, while doing the work he noticed that two of my bathroom exhaust fans weren't venting outdoors, he helped install them for me. JJ Construction was awesome. I have an older garage that has a fairly new roof but needed gutters, fascia and soffit. They promptly responded to my request for a quote submitted through Yelp and came out, emailed the quote and installed what I needed in less than a week. What made these guys stand out was their promptness and professionalism. When they came out to give a quote, they were thorough and made sure they looked over the entire roof, not just a corner (which some other companies did). Also, they did not waste my time pointing out other areas of my house that needed repairs - trying to sell me on things that I did not ask for. I had several companies provide a quote but JJ Construction's was a great deal less than what other companies proposed. Several other companies gave me the impression that it was going to be a headache installing the actual gutters as some of the fascia boards were missing. Rafal made no qualms about the process. We had staining on the plywood on the second floor of our town home from mold which was remediated a few years ago. We requested quotes from numerous companies - most of which either never replied or said they would not even come out for an estimate on a town home with a roof connected to other units. Rafal was highly professional throughout the process. When he came out for the estimate, he made recommendations regarding how to best ventilate the attic to prevent future issues. The estimate clearly stated what they would do and the total cost, so I did not have to follow up for clarification like with other contractors. The association had no problem approving the work based on the information they provided. The crew cleaned up everything better than the company that our association had replace the roof about ten years ago. We did have a light that was jostled loose in our bathroom, but they repaired it immediately after being made aware of the issue. A few weeks ago we had more than 3 in of rain in a 24h period in our area. When i noticed a small leak in my kitchen ceiling. Not knowing who to trust with a roof repair after a search on Yelp I decided to call JJ construction. Rafal returned my call within 1 hour. After a scheduled visit Rafal took pictures of the roof wich after 20 years was in need of extensive repair. After looking at the pictures we both agreed to go ahead with a complete roof replacement. The following week on Monday Rafal and his team came at 8am to start ripping the old roof and install new shingles. By 6pm the same day they were completly done. They were very careful with the flowers also extremely organized and neat. Everything was cleaned before they left. As if no one had been there. We had bad storms in our area a few days ago. I usually look at reviews on Yelp and look for someone with good reviews. I decided to call JJ Construction after another company cancelled on me. I should have called JJ Construction first. Rafal came out a couple hours after I called. He showed me a shingle was damaged and half of it was torn off which was causing my leak. He had to go back to his shop to get a matching shingle and came back and replaced it a short time later. I appreciated the quick response and repair. It is supposed to rain tomorrow so big relief. The price was more than reasonable and you can't even tell where the damage was. Rafal was prompt,fair and honest. Rafal came out promptly to determine the cause of my leaky roof. He was on time, comprehensive, explained the situation and gave me a quote before he left my house. Given that he was the first person I called, I had a few other companies come out. They wanted to sell me large roof jobs and used scare tatics. After a few weeks, I called Rafal back and he came and did the job a few days later. They scheduled the job and showed up and completed the work the same day and, besides a new roof and some new drywall, you never would know that they were there (they cleaned up EVERYTHING). I saw the reviews here on Yelp and decided to call this company for a quote. Very fast response. Came out same day. Quoted a very reasonable price for a new skylight. We were getting drips and runs of water on our living room ceiling which was painted a couple years ago. Waited for second quote from another local and it was 30% higher. We had JJ Construction do the job. Looks better than when they started. Roof has two layers and they did expert job installing skylight. Very happy. read more
