This place is fantastic!!! They have Takoyaki !!!!! I was craving so serious yaki soba and saw this place in a recent trip to At Home. I piped in and ordered Yaki soba and saw Takoyaki on the appetizer list. The people here are friendly attentive and super helpful. Another good thing to note is they were very busy. Seems like the word is out this place is a hit!!! On a second trip we had some sushi and were super pleased with the offering. Key thing here is they offer half price on sushi. This is an update to my former review. Unfortunately I will have to remove one star. I came here and ordered my favorite seafood soup and the fried calamari. The fried calamari was overly fried, over battered and barely had any calamari in that batter. I could not eat it. That's how over fried it was and so I left it. We have ordered take out from here twice now. Overall I'd say it's average/good. The staff is great so I wish I could rate it higher but lets be honest I'm there for the food. First time I got 2 of the wrong sushi rolls from what I ordered but just ate them and didn't complain. Second time I got a spicy tuna roll and a spicy tuna specialty roll. They don't seem to use "real tuna" if that makes sense. It's crumbled up tuna bits, not a piece of fish that's chopped. It almost tastes like tobiko/bread crumbs with minimal flavor and it's not spicy at all - could use spicy mayo on top at minimum. Just not my favorite. The pineapple fried rice and gyoza are solid as was my salmon avocado roll - it was a piece of salmon not like the spicy tuna. Prices are cheap, $3.75 for a spicy tuna - but the quality isn't the greatest. I'd almost rather pay $7 for a better version. Also, sushi is ALWAYS 50% off. You'd think you would just lower the prices but I'm sure it's good for marketing. read more

Really tasty sushi rolls at an amazing price. It was so easy to see their menu on Yelp and call in to place an order for pickup. (If you order thru 3rd party systems, they won't be able to give discount). Since I was picking up, I was able to get 50% off all sushi rolls. The staff said that there's no time limit to their 50% off special and it's valid anytime as long as we order thru the restaurant directly. Now onto the sushi, we had some amazing rolls and they tasted so fresh. Although we didn't order any sashimi rolls, I can tell their ingredients are really fresh. The pork katsu was good and such a huge portion, there's definitely enough for 2 people to share. The service was quick and we were able to pick up right on time (20-30 mins after ordering). Takumi is a new sushi place in Middletown and they currently have 50% off their entire menu. The prices are so cheap you need to check this place out before they get rid of the 50% off!! I ordered the Age roll off the Special Rolls menu, which is spicy salmon topped with spicy mayo raw salmon and avocado. I also got the spicy white tuna and shrimp tempura rolls. This is our go-to sushi place in the area. Staff is friendly, but distant (preferable in this setting). Good prices for the amount of food you get. The sushi is always fresh (though we do lean towards having it on the weekends). Our favorite roll is the pink lady roll. Shrimp tempura inside wrapped with soy wrapper - the texture alone is great. Lion roll and naruto roll are also delicious. Their basic hand rolls such as tuna avocado and vegetable rolls are crisp, perfect. The only thing we aren't fans of is their hibachi. The food is fresh, and there's a lot of it, but it's slightly bland... But I can't knock them for it, it's such a minor thing, and there are so many other items on the menu that more than make up for it. read more
