BLACK BEAN NOODLE (JJAJANGMYEON) - The Black Bean Noodles were savory and mildly sweet, with bits of pork and vegetables like onions and zucchini. It's the kind of dish that kids would enjoy -- comforting, flavorful, and fun to slurp. SWEET AND SOUR PORK (TANGSUYUK) - We asked for the Sweet and Sour sauce to be served on the side. The sauce reminded me of Panda Express's version but had a sweeter note, likely from a touch of pineapple. In Korea, there's an ongoing debate about whether the sauce should be poured over the meat or served separately. Personally, I prefer it on the side so I can control how much sauce goes on each bite. Highly recommend! They had the best 짜장면, 짬뽕, and 탕수육 I've ever had (and I grew up eating these very often)! I had this craving for a while, and they really lived up to my expectations. The noodles were the perfect amount of chewiness&softness. The black bean sauce was strong, flavorful, and filled with meat and onions. The spicy soup was rich and comforting; we opted for the kalbi instead of the original seafood, and there was an abundance of meat. The fried pork had an amazing crispy texture, and I was happy to see the sauce come on the side so they don't get soggy as time passes. Side dishes included cubed kimchi and yellow radish, both ripe and seasoned well The portions were very large (my photos don't do it justice because my phone was super close to the bowls)! I wanted to eat jjajangmyeon, so I visited here for lunch. I had to wait five minutes for an open table since the restaurant was full at noon. However, the server let me order while I waited. The jjajangmyeon ($13.99) tasted delicious and filled me up. I didn't expect to get an extra small bowl of jjajang sauce with the dish, but it was welcomed. The food arrived quickly after I got seated. There was complementary yellow radish, kimchi, and jjamppong (spicy seafood broth). While I enjoyed the food, I did see an ant on my table. For that, I'm docking off one star. Also, the picture of the jjajangmyeon had sliced cucumbers on it, but my meal didn't have them. First off, giant portions! These dishes could definitely be shared, which we learned quickly once we saw tables around us doing so. Consider sharing unless you want to try different items, of course! I came with my two other friends and there was a bit of a wait, but there is only limited seating so the space fills up quickly, especially during colder and rainy peak days. The menu is simple and offers their selection of noodles, noodle soups, tofu dishes, fried rice, and more types of stir fried and deep fried entrees. We each ordered one of their jjamppong dishes and one tangsuyuk (fried pork). We got the original, white, and stir fried jjamppong. The noodle soups had a lot of seafood from clams, mussels, and shrimp. On the side was pickled radish and kimchi which I loved to eat and were very crunchy to go with the noodles and pork. The seafood they used wasn't the greatest quality but provided lots of seafood flavor for the broth. Tangsuyuk was perfectly crispy and the aroma of the breading was in the air and made me sooo hungry! It was great paired well with the sweet and sour sauce. . Service took awhile too, but again, the portion sizes are very good. The service from the ladies in the front were so sweet and funny, I definitely enjoyed my experience here! They have a nice recognition displayed on the wall from the House of Representatives which is pretty neat! Ordered the stir fried Jjajang and Tangsuyuk. The portion of the platter jjajang was about the same as a regular jjajang--very misleading compared to the picture. As for the taste... I honestly couldn't tell, since I kept spitting out crushed mussel shells that were mixed in. The tangsuyuk is made with chicken by default, and you have to pay extra to switch to pork. It was extremely tough, some pieces had double layers of batter, and a few even had a fishy smell. Overall, very disappointing for the price. read more

I am genuinely confused by the reviews of this place. I ordered takeout on Saturday night. The jajangmyeon was extremely sweet and made the dish inedible. The kung pao had a strong black pepper taste and was easily the saddest version of the dish I have ever had. You are much better off going to an authentic Chinese restaurant instead of this Korean-Chinese spot. Additionally, the tangsuyuk was extremely bland and lacked any real flavor beyond being sweet. The quality of the food simply does not justify such a steep price point. I spent $70 here and regretted it. I will never go back despite it being so close to me. read more

Every dish I tried was seasoned perfectly and absolutely on point. The kkanpoong shrimp was my favorite--just the right amount of spice without being overpowering. The mapo tofu paired perfectly with fried rice, and the black bean noodles stood out because they were stir-fried with seafood, which is something I haven't seen often at other restaurants. The ambience is fresh and upbeat since the place is relatively new. The open kitchen is impressively clean, which is always a good sign. Inside dining is limited, but it never felt overly crowded. I also tried the mapo tofu, which had a nostalgic taste and came in a large portion, and the tangsuyuk, which had a satisfying crunch and was just as big.
