The brand Yuchun was once known for best bibim nengmyun in Cali. Such was case for both LA and OC locations. So much has changed. Had one today after long absence and it may be the worst bibim nengmyun I've had in all Cali. It was bland, mostly vinegar and beefy taste in broth/sauce. Perhaps it's due to it being portioned extremely small amount of sauce where most of noodles looked naked. It also lacked the signature crushed ice bath in the sauce that adds the cooling effect to the spicy taste. No such ice nor good sauce to make it the experience in warm summer. Service was great and dining area clean. But not coming back for just great smiles and warm service. Yoo's Place across street may have THE best nengmyun in OC. read more

This is some of the best authentic Korean food I've ever had. I've ordered the Bulgogi box, cold noodle with beef and the Mandu (homemade noodle soup) and all of them are delicious. All these dishes have tasted fresh and made with clean ingredients. I love their kimchi and raddish sides. My husband is American and doesn't like to eat different foods, but he loves the Bolgogi box and their home made noodle soup. read more

Important note: This is not the Yuchun you may be thinking of from Koreatown LA. Do not expect the same food or service. Yuchun in Buena Park is essentially a Korean food court-style restaurant, the kind you'd typically find inside a Korean plaza. It's not a sit-down restaurant with premium dishes, so it's best to come in with the right expectations. Honestly, if it had a different name, I think it would do much better -- the name sets the bar much higher than what's actually offered here. The setup is standard food court style: order at the counter, take a beeper, wait for it to ring, and return your tray when you're done. So far, we've tried the Chic Bibim Naeng Myun and the Kimchi Wang Mandu. Both were fine -- nothing mind-blowing, but solid for a quick meal. I'd come back if I needed something fast before or after shopping at H Mart. Food comes out quickly, the inside is clean, and there's even a Coway water dispenser with hot and cold water, which is a nice touch. This is my favorite Korean hidden gem. Iv been coming here since around 2021 and they never disappoint. The customer service is excellent and if you love spicy food they will make it EXTRA spicy per your request. I only order the Yukgaejang soup because it's my favorite Korean soup and after all these years I never change my order. I appreciate the relaxed atmosphere as well. I was able to enjoy my food peacefully. Definitely try this spot out if you're looking for top quality Korean food. read more

How did i ever miss this restaurant. Come to this plaza often especially to SUP Noodles, Piak Noodles & 85 degrees which is located next to it. What we ordered Dolpan bibimbab $ 19.49 Came in a stone pot, How i like my bibambap served. Full of veggies and beef along with rice. The banchans that is served with was diakon & regular Napa kimchi along w steamed bean sprouts Banchan. Highly recommended. Service was fast and received food in a timely manner. You go and order the food & pay 1st. You're given a buzzer to retrieve your food when it's ready. When you're done w your dishes. You bring back the tray along w the bowls to a stainless steel 3 tier shelves next to the fridge with the can drinks/sodas. It's a standard size restaurant. I mean talk about authentic delicious food! I wanted to get everything off the menu! The cold noodles were delicious and tasty! The dumplings were also delicious! The bulgogi was amazing! You order first and are given a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready! They have tables inside to sit at or you can sit in the common outside area. We decided to sit inside! As others have said, this location does not compare to the one in K Town. To start, the free broth is served to you with your food and not self serve, which is fine, but it was undrinkable. Tasted like a cheap powdery version with little to no flavor. It was really what I was looking forward to, so terribly disappointed. That said, the other dishes we tried were pretty good. Cold noodles and galbi combo was pretty good. They were out of the tofu soup, so tried the spicy beef soup per the lady's recommendation. Soup was good, but the beef was not the shredded type I am used to. Was in small rectangular pieces and very tough. Service was very friendly, but we were the only ones there on a Monday evening around 6pm. Would I go back? Maybe if in the area, but not worth going out of your way IMO. read more

I do take out here often for my mother in law, she loves the #19 dolpan and octopus noodle The ladies that work here are so friendly and very on time when they give me an estimate on when the food will be ready. Staff was nice but once I got my squid bibimbab, I noticed the "portion was little" and "ratio on the dish were off"...too much red pepper paste and not enough rice...it was almost like a red pepper smoothie lol ...also need better side dishes or at least "optimize the ones they have"...the kalbi..need better cuts, got 6-7 pieces which were thinly cut prolly 0.25" thick, just wasn't enough meat for my six year old who ate it...ill stop there. But I hope they read this and step up, they are in prime location and neighboring restaurants are serving real good food. read more

The tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), I'd say it's a 3.5/5. The tteok could've been a little firmer. The sauce was too watery. The naengmyeon (buckwheat noodles), were a 4.2/5. Great taste. A little too much red chili powder and paste. Absolutely worth it though if you've got your little buddy with you. Our lil buddy is always with us, so finding these dog friendly spots is important.
