A small strip lot parking lot hides a few gems in Artesia. This Chinese/Korean restaurant is everything you require. Good Chinese dishes often found in Korean owned Chinese restaurants. In particular, I came in for the Jajangmyeon. Service was quick. Like not even 3 minutes and my food was on my table. This is because Jajangmyeon doesn't require much cooking. The noodles and the chunjang should be ready to go. Flavor was great. Portion was great. Kim Chi and Danmuji were ok. This is a no frills, down to business restaurant. I could see this becoming part of a roster if you were local. I'm sure they do a lot of take out. Overall a good option for some Chinese food. I don't know if its the best, but its worth a try! read more

Arrived here on a weekday for dinner. I've passed by this eatery during lunch and saw it was always busy so I decided to check them out. Parking is available in the shared strip center lot but it fills up during peak hours so I was able to find a street parking spot. The cusine is Korean & Chinese fusion and I ordered the Jjanppong seafood noodles and the spicy shredded pork. Both entrees were on the mild side but we're generous portions and flavorful and included a bowl of steamed rice. The restaurant is on the smaller side and a bit dated but the service and food were solid. I'm looking forward to returning for lunch or dinner and trying some of their other entree's. read more

Old school Korean-style Chinese food. No frills, no fancy decor - just good Chinese food at decent prices. It was pretty full on a Thursday evening, but there were still a table or two open. I went and ordered the seafood jjangppong (spicy noodle soup) and the tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). The broth in the noodle soup was nice and spicy, definitely hit the spot. The pork in the tangsuyuk is sliced thinner than other places, but it made for nice bite sized morsels. The sweet and sour sauce was thick and heavy, definitely old school style. The dishes must've been freshly washed, as they had a strong bleach odor to them. That did take away from the aroma of the food, so I wish the bleach smell wasn't so strong. Overall, I'd definitely come back here if I were craving OG Korean-style Chinese food. I'll have to try the jjajjangmyun (black bean noodles) next time. read more

I think this place does mostly take out for regulars because the food is pretty good but it's not a big or fancy place. Parking is also an issue because there's a AYCE Korean bbq in the same strip mall so you might have to park on the street or around the corner. Still, came for the black bean noodles which were good. Also tried the 3 gems dish which was ok but a bit pricey. Service was basic as the ladies were busy getting takeout orders ready. read more

Might be my new favorite jjajangmyeon spot. The sauce was perfectly flavorful. I wish the noodles were hotter because it was lukewarm, I'm guessing they premade some for the lunch rush. This is a classic restaurant that's been around since the prehistoric ages (when I was a wee lad). There is comfort in knowing that some things never change (at least in terms of flavor! Inflation is a pain!). I really enjoy this place to this very day and is some of the best that I've had. read more

Great please for spicy Korean style soup! Delicious seafood broth and amazing Szechuan chicken! They also provide free hot tea, kimchi, and pickled radishes (I think). I ordered the Jjajangmyun and the Tangsuyuk as take-out. I thought they were both ok, I've had better. The jjajangmyun had a lot of meat and veggies in the sauce but the flavor kind of lacked. The tangsuyuk also wasn't very crunchy, the sauce was a little too sour for my liking. It wasn't as balanced as I would've hoped between sweetness and sourness. The portions were quite big but at the same time, it was shockingly pretty pricey $35~ for just 2 items! Not sure if i'll be back. Jajang-myun and Yusanseul (유산슬) and calamari fritti is fantastic! I don't understand why negativity on the jajang? It is old school childhood memories flooding back. I love yusanseul and this place hits the mark. Always make sure a bottle of soju is it's mate, no matter what time of day! The calamari was perfectly fried and a great anju to help your soju. Im just a white boy with some korean friends and I heard of Jajangmyeon one day and thought it sounded so good. One of them recommended I come to this place. They did not lead me astray. I absolutely loved the dish. Additionally the complementary kimchi and tea was excellent. All for a reasonable price in my opinion aswell. Highly recommend. read more

Authentic Chinese Korean restaurant. Really good jajangmyun. A little blend jjampong (yet ingredients were really good...not sure why the soup base was not having flavor), great Tangsuyuk. Before we walked in, we knew this spot would be great. We were on a quest to find delicious jjangmyeon and stumbled upon this hole-in-the-wall, authentic Korean spot. There was a lot of seating and the interior decoration made it feel homey. We ordered the jjangmyeon, sweet and sour pork, and spicy noodle soup. As we waited, we were served kimchi and radish as an appetizer. The kimchi tasted fresh and it was one of my favorite kimchis made because it wasn't too fermented. The food came out pretty quickly and the portions were pretty large. The jjangmyeon tasted fantastic and the sweet and sour pork was the perfect pair. The spicy noodle soup was so flavorful and the noodles were a great texture. It was such a great meal, I will be back for more. The people here are so friendly and very attentive. The food was fantastic and I really enjoyed my experience. Parking can be tight since there's only a few spots for a couple of businesses. We went at night, so it wasn't too much of a problem. This place has been my grandparent's go-to jjajangmyun (black noodle) place. I finally gave it a try. It doesn't have the nicest seatings or ambiance. Just a mom and pop store. But their food is so great. Their sweet sour fried pork is probably one of the best that I have tried. So crispy and the dipping sauce is not overly sweet. The foods were delivered so fast even thou they had lots of Take out orders. I liked the fried dumplings, Juicy and crunchy. For the chicken kungpao, I give 3 stars, missing something. Spicy but not really flavorful. The chicken pieces are too small, I couldn't taste the chicken. We both liked chicken w lobster sauce, mild, so creamy, soft shrimps w lots of veggies. I give 4 stars. We ordered 3 items, sweet n sour pork, shrimps w hot garlic sauce, black been noodles w drink, Soju. I bite the shrimp, Omg......melted in my mouth. Perfect balance w garlic, chilis. Even sweet n sour pork is bomb. Super crunchy and rich sauce gives more flavors. And black bean noodles, I said right away this is the best noodles I never had. I go over the reviews on Yelp if I go to the new places, 70% of reviews are correct, and I am confident the reviews w 4 stars. Tonight was big success for my wife and I. The location is less than 6 miles and we can take out any time any foods. The owner is very friendly and attentive. We had lots of leftover foods and she gave us To go boxes, no problems to take all. This gem has been here a long time! Hidden in a small strip mall. The food is consistently fresh, hot, flavorful. The best Chinese Korean restaurant in Cerritos. The owner always uses fresh vegetables and high quality meat even during the pandemic, and fluctuating economy. My favorite is the Mongolian beef, spicy fried shrimp and the basics black bean noodles and spicy seafood soup, fried dumplings, any fried rice, sweet and sour pork with the sauce on the side. If there is a line, just wait you'll be glad you did. I drive from Irvine and visit this spot, when the craving for comfort nostalgic food is present. read more

They used to have these everywhere in Cerritos, Artesia, and Norwalk, but they all seemed to have closed! VIP Chinese, San Dong Chinese... :( This is the only one I know around this area other than in LA. The food is great! The shrimp fried rice, jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), crispy sweet & spicy shrimp (Kkanpoong Shrimp..sooooo good! Theeee best!!), and the unusually red spicy seafood noodle soup (Jjamppong). ALL really good!! The prices are higher than I remember but I guess it's expected with inflation. The servers/workers here are not the friendliest but I'm sure it's not intentional so don't take it too personally. local and authentic. this is definitely the best korean-chinese restaurant in my books. i've been coming here since elementary school and it hits every single time. they recently renovated the exterior but the interior is still giving mom & pop shop/ cozy vibes! the service is also pretty quick and you lowkey gotta yell to get the waiters attention to order lol! the food is amazing. i always get their mongolian beef so tender and perfect during their lunch special (worth ur $$). of course the most popular/ mains i see people getting is the spicy noodle soup with seafood and the noodles with black bean. they are also my go to meals when i go here without a doubt. 10/10 read more

I was so excited to go try their black bean noodle, one of my favorite dishes! However, the restaurant seemed dirty, I saw flies, and when I saw the menu it had a bug on it. Regardless, I decided to give it a chance despite my observations because of their good reviews and ordered the black bean noodle for takeout and when I was eating it I found an eyelash hair and I put it on the corner of the plate to examine it and so I can take the picture but it came from the black bean noodle sauce. I am very disappointed and disgusted because I had already had a feeling the restaurant seemed off and dirty and to no surprise I found a hair on my food and I had already taken a few bites and I was so disgusted I threw it away after a couple bites, the black bean noodle flavor was good but will not return because they are very unhygienic. read more

This place has great black bean noodles. It's a small shop in the corner. I ordered the black bean noodles and the sweet and sour pork. It's so much food for one person. I ordered the food to go and they packed it up in a box with a side of kimchi. I really enjoyed the food here and would definitely go again. It's great for authentic Chinese Korean food. read more

What happened? My second visit experience was different than my first. The battered and fried Tangsuyuk pork was chewy and definitely not freshly prepared. Although Jjajangmyun and Yakmandoo were delicious, the rest weren't very good today. The spicy garlic beef was pretty bad with poor quality beef and lack of flavor, and Peking fried rice didn't have much flavor at all. And Jjampong didn't have the soothing flavor that I tasted when I was here the first time. I was very disappointed. read more
