Interesting concept... being able to order tabbouleh and lentils on top of Latin-style chicken with pico sounds a little unexpected, but honestly, it works. The Uber Eats pricing is on the higher side, but the BOGO deal made it feel worth it, especially considering how massive the portion was. And the whole order was put together thoughtfully. When we finally made it in, I was a bit confused by the layout. There's a section for to-go orders with a more casual menu, while the dine-in area offers a more elevated experience. The dining space is small but stylish, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. The food was delicious and very satisfying, with generous portions. I also appreciated the cucumber and lemon-infused water! It was such a refreshing touch. The servers were very kind and knowledgeable, offering helpful menu suggestions, though they were a bit more attentive than I personally prefer. That was a little uncomfortable. For pickups, drivers are directed to a separate entrance around the back, which was interesting to learn. I've only ever had JJ's Fresh to-go, but it has become one of my favorite healthy takeout options. They have creative dishes that combine two of my favorite types of cuisines -- Mexican and Mediterranean. As the name implies, the ingredients are always super fresh and they provide very generous portions. So far I've enjoyed their steak quesadilla (the meat was very tender and flavorful) and their chicken rice bowl. You can build your own bowl and choose from a wide array of bases, proteins, and toppings. I really like their lentil rice and the latin pulled pork. They also have an incredible chimichurri sauce. Keep an eye on UberEats because they have some good BOGO deals on there pretty often. Bonus points for quick delivery! I always location when I am going to the laundromat and I decided to give it a try. I missed the lunch rush thank God - I got spicy Mexican rice or with tofu on top. There is very deep but they don't fill it with much. For $13 I got tofu bowl. The only reason why I'm giving 4 stars is a tofu isn't made an advance and it takes extra five minutes however they don't tell you get to the checkout area; and the flavored water that is $2 for a cup the dispenser is broken. The inside is very small they're only 7 tables inside and three tables outside. I am unsure if I will be back here; But it's good to try! 8/10 I definitely recommend read more

We live in the neighborhood and we're very curious what was going on while constructing the "new concept". After reading the reviews we had to check out. What a wonderful change to the sit down experience of JJ's Fresh. We started off with a wonderful tostada shrimp appetizer. Our entrées were just as yummy. The lovely young lady who served us was very delightful and attentive. They were out of the desert we wanted but brought as a yummy little chocolate treat. Staff was kind. The business itself inside was very nice. I got a bowl with steak. The steak was really good. Besides that everything else on the bowl was average and toppings were small portions. Our family loves JJ's food but unfortunately the food portions have gotten much smaller and the prices are still the same. I was disappointed last time since we are used to having bowls with great fresh foods. The lentil rice was hard and the plantains were undercooked as well. Not sure if this is a permanent situation or just a transition. I don't know if we will continue to order with the smaller portions unfortunately. We had not been to JJ's in some time, but we remember loving it previously! Well, good news, we still love it! It is similar to Chipotle, but way better. The quality of the food seems to be really high, and the ingredients all taste very fresh! We both ordered burritos, and split a side of Guac and Chips. Everything was very good. Do be warned that the burrito can be messy, I show how managed not to make a mess. The guac was very good, again it was very fresh. My only complaint was our bag of chips was clearly the very bottom of the bag as it was a lot of small tiny chip pieces. It is also worth noting that when you check in on yelp you get a nice little discount. Took the staff a few minutes how to figure out how to make it work, but they got it sorted. The good: - Each of the individual food items holds its own - The place has a vibe that is decidedly un-chain-like - Servings are generous/prices are reasonable The not-so-good: - While the proteins were pretty lean and well-trimmed, many of the toppings (the zucchini, the mushrooms, the sweet potatoes, the corn, etc) were greasier/oilier than they needed to be. - Some of the options are Latin-spiced, while other are Middle Eastern, and I don't feel that these flavor combinations mix well. Sure, you could stick to one or the other, but that would significantly reduce your options and make it hard to build a balanced bowl. Got addicted to the chips and queso and the rice bowls and the arepas and and and and Seriously, it starts at a base price and you add what you want and gets pricey with what I order, however, I get like 3 meals out of one bowl since I double the chicken and add extra cheese. I've had all rice options, cooked properly, never dry. Definitely rinsed!!! The arepas are so good the maize is crispy and whatever your filling I'm sure it will be good. I love this place. I've been going almost weekly for years now. Every single time I go in, it's a beautiful, immaculately-clean restaurant with employees busy at work, either serving customers, or making sure every ingredient is well-stocked and fresh. The Hispanic woman that seems to run the place doesn't interact with customers often, but you can always see her walking through and checking that everything is perfect and requesting fixes if it isn't. That attention to detail is rare and very much appreciated. As for the food itself... delicious. Everything is always fresh (you'll never see crusty beans here), and it's an amazing blend of Latin and Mediterranean cuisines. Ever wanted a carne mechada burrito with feta and tzatziki?
