    Chicken quesadilla!
    Francisco R.

Food was very good and was served fast. The staff were friendly and the ambience was cozy. The food was on the pricier side and we didn't even get frijoles with our meal. Their house salsa for the chips wasn't much to write home about but they also brought salsa verde and habanero so that boosted the experience. Would recommend checking this place out if in the area.

This is the 2nd time we have come to los generales and it was delicious and fresh both times! The service was friendly and quick. Both times we got the fajita nachos and they were perfect. The toppings were layered throughout the chips. El norteño was really great but I wouldn't consider it a thick sirloin steak. I was served 2 thin cut steaks. The quesadillas are glorious. Restaurant is clean and cozy.

This is the one! We stumbled into this place in our neighborhood after looking for food and finding out that this place was ridiculously close so we decided to give it a try and I'm so glad that we did! At this point I've been here at least 10 times and the food and service have been consistently good. There are so many options and everything I've tried has been fantastic but I'm a huge fan of the quesadillas and tacos. I can't say no to a jumbo margarita here either. I could eat the rice and beans here as a meal every day and I don't even like beans I have never had bad service here regardless of how many tables are seated or if I'm dining in or picking up. This is definitely another place I'd love to keep secret but they deserve the recognition

    Veggie Quesadilla & Burrito

Our friends introduced us to this gem and I am so happy they did. Out of several Mexican food options in Orlando, we were drawn to this one (and any one, really) because it has a vegetarian menu. It's very small and quaint, but the food is incredible and they serve very sizable portions. I got the veggie quesadilla & burrito and from the first bite I was in heaven. Their chips and salsa were also AMAZING and I want 14 of them.

We went here around 5:00 pm on a weekday. There were 4 of us. I had been really craving Mexican and since it was down the road and we hadn't been we decided to try it out. My son got a burrito and it was the biggest thing I've ever seen. He said it was good but gave him a stomach ache. He ate about 1/3 of it and he's a larger guy. My other son got the pick 3 with a taco, tostada and quesadilla. He said they were good. My husband got a 2 burrito platter. He loved the flavor of the chicken. I got the three taco platter with carne asada. I love that they come on corn soft tacos and the flavor was good. My side of refried beans had hard pieces in it and I prefer my refried beans creamy. House margaritas were $5 in a 8 oz cup and were alright. I didn't give it 5 stars because I felt that $95 was a tad high for 4 of us considering what we got. Besides the huge burrito, the other plates were normal size. They also didn't give me my second margarita I ordered.

I am so happy to have come in to Los Generales again! I've been a La Fiesta Stan for years and had only been to los Generales a time or two before and then moved out of the neighborhood. I'm back and my partner and I decided to stop in for dinner. We ordered the guacamole to start and it was so fresh and the perfect appetizer. My love got the carne asada tacos and I chose the enchiladas verdes. Both dishes were HUGE and incredibly tasty. I liked that the enchiladas had grilled chicken as opposed to shredded chicken which made it a little different then I'm used to. Service was fantastic and friendly. The dining room is small but cozy and has a nice mix of booths and tables. I actually came back for dinner tonight and got the enchiladas Blancas and ooooh that queso hit the spot!

Stopped in on a Saturday night for dinner, service was friendly and we were seated right away. Started with e the complimentary chips and salsa, the verde sauce was an added bonus and gave the salsa more kick. Food arrived after a short wait, everything was very good. The menu is large with many options and there is beer and wine.

Great authentic Mexican cuisine with huge selection of menu items! Much better than others on Curry Ford Road and there are a bunch of Mexican places over here! They have Dos Equis and Modelo on tap and Sangria and Margaritas, too! My friend had the Molcajete and it was incredible! Chicken, Queso Fundito, shrimp, beef and chorizo along with fajita veggies. It was huge and so amazing! You can order one and split it as it is a generous portion. Our server was Anna who spoke almost no English but was so precious and helpful! They are open late which is another big plus! We loved it!

Great authentic Mexican food and killer drink specials. We ordered what felt like a gallon of corona and half a dozen margaritas. There are two locations and both are awesome. Their queso fresco con carne is incredible. The service is always super nice and everyone helps each other. The vibe inside is authentic Mexican. Lots of little call outs to the flag and the cities in Mexico.

Delicious food, locally owned and friendly staff!! We live about a mile from this location and we have been a couple times now. They have excellent Mexican cuisine and plenty of options. They also serve beer and wine if you are interested. They have large / generous servings and it's very filling! The Sangria was very good - I can recommend that for sure! They have a fair amount of seating and the booths were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and they were helpful in recommending items if you aren't sure what you would like or have questions about the options. Overall: A Great Mexican restaurant in the SoDo / Hourglass area!

    Flautas - very tasty!

Solid Tex Mex! If you're looking for the best, most authentic Mexican, this won't be your stop - but for the classic combo-style Tex Mex of enchiladas, tacos, burritos, etc, it's perfect. Generous portions and reasonable prices, tasty food - it's exactly what we wanted for a casual weeknight dinner. The service is attentive, and the ambiance is fine - casual, festive music, if a bit plain overall. The only thing I'd skip is the margaritas and sangria - both were very sugary/sweet. Better off grabbing a beer or Jarritos.

Just left this restaurant and not happy at all. Ordered this combo platter with Chili Rellanos and beef taco. Both of us said the same thing, something was sour and off. We sent it back and got a cheese Quesadilla. That wasn't really good either. Not sure of the cheese but we asked for cheddar and it wasn't that. Long story short, we saw the server talking and my friend said they were probably discussing the check. The Owner/manager came over and we told him what we thought. He proceeded to tell us that it couldn't be the food basically and or his chefs or anything else. We were more than willing to pay for the quesadilla and the drink even though that wasn't great and he said this is what I'm gonna do... I'll take care of the check tonight, but don't ever come back. We said excuse me, he said no I'm gonna take care of the check, but don't ever come back!!! We said no we'll pay for the quesadilla and the drink he said no just don't come back. I have worked in many restaurants managed, assistant manager, server, bartender and have never ever talk to a customer like that no matter what they complained about no matter what they said. Even if he didn't say, don't ever come back I wouldn't. No stars but I had to put one so I could post this

I approach the hostess asking what happened and she did not speak to me, she instead signaled me to follow her repeatedly saying ok ok ok. As she went to my table and began to remove the menu. I then asked again in spanish this time and she said "I am moving you". I asked why and she kept talking into her earpiece telling some one I was pissed off when I was not, I was confused. The Server came out and arrived at the table and the Hostess left. Server then told us there was a miscommunication, however I still did not get an answer. The food came out quick since we had plenty of time to view the menu. The female Manager made her rounds and had no idea what had happened. She then came to our table, did not even introduced herself and offered us a dessert while we were still eating dinner for what happened. She barely spoke and seemed clueless to what was happening and yet, still no explanation! We get boxes for our food and I pay the bill, I gave the server a really good tip because it was not her fault and we left full of food and disappointment. Note to Owner: Communication goes a long way, educate your staff and make sure they treat everyone with the same respect by being hospitable and bilingual. If I was given a reason, this review would have been amazing! Service : Terrible service, not friendly or inviting, there is a language barrier, and management has no idea about customer service which is my guess why the place was empty! Food: Amazing as always and it is a shame because I really love(d) this place and gladly spent $200+ every time I dine here. Ambiance: Clean, trendy, and inviting. Sorry Agave Azul, you used to be my favorite spot to dine but that honor will now go to Agave Bandidos.

I believe they have several locations in the area, and this is a newer one with very welcoming and modern interiors. They have wonderful daily specials and various happy hour periods that extend from 2 to 10 PM, including $3 tacos from 8 until 10 PM. Meals start off with complimentary chips and salsa (4.5/5), which are happily refilled upon request. We tried a variety of tacos (5/5) which were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The vegetarian San Jose's fajita bowl (4.5/5) was tasty and served in a generous portion that is ideal for sharing. The cheese quesadilla (5/5) hit all the fresh flavor notes without the cheese being too sharp in taste. The churros (5/5) were the perfect dessert, having a slightly crunchy exterior and softer core as you bit into it. We loved the food and atmosphere so much that we visited twice the same week while visiting the Orlando area. Service (4.5/5) was excellent on our first visit, and slightly slower on our 2nd visit, but still incredibly friendly with management checking in on customers to make people were enjoying their meals. Overall, I'd rate the food and experience a 4.5/5, but happy to round up since San Jose's is right up my alley for an ideal Mexican meal that is delicious and doesn't gouge you with prices like other restaurants tend to do. I'll gladly return on future trips to the Orlando area and will be recommending them to others, as San Jose's would crack my rotation of a Mexican restaurants I'd regularly visit if I lived locally.
