Taco's Lab has some of my favorite tacos in Orlando, and the staff could not be nicer. The food is super fresh and made to order. They have limited parking located behind the building. I highly recommend their vegan tacos. I don't even like mushrooms that much, but somehow they make them taste amazing. The Pollo Alquimia and birria tacos are great as well. Make sure to try their agua frescas too! read more

I even had a vegetarian bowl that was off the charts with black beans that are made in-house from scratch, and marinated mushrooms, so good!! My husband and I arrived within 30 minutes of closing, unsure if we would be able to order but it was no problem. I wish we had given ourselves more time to enjoy the food while they were open, but we still had an excellent experience. The service was top-notch, the manager was extremely friendly and happy to answer any questions we might have! The food was prepared fresh and let me tell you everything was freaking delicious. I can see now why this place already has so many five star reviews. They also have a happy hour on Tuesdays that I will definitely be checking out in the future! The street tacos were fantastic, as were the sides, and the queso and chips were 10/10! They also have a back patio that will be enjoyable once it cools down a bit! read more

The former King Bao on Fairbanks in Winter Park has been transformed into the absolutely lovely Taco's Lab and I could not recommend it more highly! You have to have something special to open - just 3 months ago - down the road from Hunger Street Tacos, and Taco's Lab is just that. Special. The staff are very friendly and my food was fresh and wonderful. Everything - including their chips and tortillas - is homemade. I had maybe the best horchata I've ever had in my life here today. What a great find. Plenty of parking in back. Went there on a whim - gluten free wife wated a snack. We had 2 roasted corn and shrimp tacos with avocado. Everything in the tortilla was delicious. The place was very quiet on Saturday at 1 pm, but it is not because they can't do tacos. Highly recommend for takeout. read more

As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of tacos, I can tell you confidently that this is a place you need to visit if you're in the area. Let's start with the basics: the food is great. They had what appeared to be homemade salsa and we were served warm chips with the salsa. I cannot stress enough, as a proud eighth generation Texan, how important warm chips are with salsa! We also had the pineapple chicken tacos and the Birria tacos. Pro tip: use lime on the pineapple chicken tacos. *chef's kiss* The tacos are not only full of flavor but also full of contents. You might be thinking of other places that serve street tacos where you have to have seven of them in order to feel full. Not this place. These are what my mom would call "ample portions." The price was great too. 24 bucks for four good size tacos and some chips and salsa? In Orlando? Count me in. As much as I love the food, I love that this place is family owned. A young husband and wife run it and their toddler daughter is there with them. Call me crazy, but I want to support that. If you like locally owned and family run restaurants make sure you check this place out. My only real critique of Taco's Lab is that the bathrooms are on the outside of the building. That wouldn't have been great if I was with my kids, but since I was just with my wife, it was fine. The inside isn't very huge, but they didn't seem to need it too big just yet. There weren't very many people there when we arrived at lunchtime on a Thursday. Speaking of which, that puzzles me. This place is good and the only reason I can imagine people haven't found out about it en masse yet is because it's tucked in on a busy road. But, I'll do my part and spread the word and come back to eat. Ok, time to go take a post-tacos nap. read more

First, the service was on point. Very friendly staff and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was amazing! This is probably some of the best Birria tacos I've had. The quesadilla was off the charts. The shredded chicken was so juicy and delicious. The shrimp in the rice bowl was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Almost didn't stop, what a mistake that would have been! I don't normally post reviews, but this was so good, I had to make an exception. Best tacos I've ever had in Orlando and maybe anywhere. I had a shrimp taco with a homemade blue corn tortilla that was outstanding as well as the chicken taco. Even the chips were fresh out of the fryer with the right amount of salt and a delicious salsa. Atmosphere was great though it was not that busy because they are fairly new. We saw Taco Lab driving down Fairbanks and decided to give it a try. This is a mom and pop shop with great foods a decent prices. We had the shrimp tacos and the birria tacos. Both were loaded with shrimp or beef and dressed up very differently. The shrimp had some citrus and a bright taste on a blue corn tortilla and the birria was covered in toasted cheese. SO YUMMY! Their salsa was homemade and NOT spicy which I like. Definitely will be returning. read more

My husband got the birria tacos, the dipping sauce was absolutely delicious! I could drink it like a soup the power bowl had a great mix of meats, veggies, and grains. The quesadilla was perfectly cheesy, with a cheese pull in every bite, paired with two tasty sauces (one sweet, one savory). You can tell they make the flan and tres leches in house. I'm done with chain places like Chipotle (somehow they can never ever get an online order right??? And the vibe in there is always whack) and other nearby taco spots that are lacking in service and portion size (who shall remain nameless) so I was a little wary as I drove by this spot for the first time. While I wasn't totally sold by the name of this place, and the seemingly cursed location, I decided to try it and to my surprise the food was next level! We got the chicken tinga quesadilla and a few tacos including the birria and the al pastor- every bite was more delicious than the last. You can taste the love and intention that is put into their food. Clearly it's a well thought out menu and is executed by people who know what they're doing, and care to do it well. The service was also wonderful and friendly, and the interior is cleaner and nicer than the previous business there. I'm so stoked to have this awesome local spot.
