Food, service, and the owner is friendly and inviting. A great surprise to have Korean food in a small college town.

I will update my review as soon as I actually get a chance to eat here. My husband and I drove from Dublin to try this place out. It says it's dog friendly on the patio, so we brought fido with us. When we got there, my husband went inside to make sure we could bring her to the patio. The first gentleman said yes and would get us set up. Well, a group of 8 walked in while they were clearing a table for us on the patio. When we walked back in, pure confusion erupted. The group of 8 was told they needed to have reservations but they ended up seating them outside. This meant that even though we had arrived first, our spot in que was taken. I told them not to worry about it but my husband went back in to talk to them and see about sitting inside. Our pup could stay in the truck since it was cool enough. They told us no! So many positive things to say! I live that we now have a Korean option owned by true Koreans who can cook! We have now been twice so this will be lengthy. Out first visit we chose the original Korean BBQ. While a bit pricey, there is unlimited choices to your proteins. We tried both chicken (marinated and spicy) marinated rib eye, brisket, pork belly and shaved pork belly as well as the spicy tenderloin. My favorites were the shaved pork belly, brisket and marinated ribeye. Hubby agreed but Ike's the thick pork belly instead. For whatever reason, we weren't able to order the prawns or squid . This is served with traditional banchan which is a selection of marinated veggies some with kimchi spices and unlimited white rice. We also were offered an egg soufflé mmm so good and a side of okausu which is mozzarella corn on a sizzling plate! So GOOD! We loved it so much that when our son visited 3 weeks later we returned. This time ordering off the menu. I had the Godeungeor Gui (named after the wife!) it is a beautifully lightly fried whole mackerel. I know we Ku e on Lakr Sinclair but this is Hands Down my pick for fresh seafood here. There I said it, best fried fish on the lake! Hubby had beef bulgogi, tender juicy and a healthy portion. Our son had the spicy squid and pork belly, a very unique combination. We also split the harmful patron or seafood pancake! An instant hit and favorite. Outside of the food, attached next door is a quaint Korean store with unique options. You can also buy beer here and drink in the restaurant if you so desire. Check this place out soon. We were really impressed with JK Korean BBQ in downtown Milledgeville GA. It was the best Korean BBQ we have had. Owner YonSun was an excellent server - she was very attentive, conversational, and helped us grill our food perfectly! She is really awesome and made our meal especially exceptional. We were also happy to see the 100 health score from March 2023 as we walked in. The restaurant was immaculate and tastefully decorated. The grills themselves were very new and cooked beautifully. The owner Jung Kim escorted us to our table, explained what was gluten free, and helped us make the best choices. All meat and sides were fresh and delicious. Bulgogi was the family favorite although not gluten free. read more

How cool is this!! Finally something new and unique in Milledgeville, GA!! We are originally from the beautiful state of Georgia but our careers have taken us all over the world. After moving back to Georgia a couple of years ago we kept searching for a great Korean restaurant in Georgia. We are so happy to find a wonderful Korean BBQ restaurant here In Milledgeville. JK Korean restaurant in milledgeville is even better than any of the ones in Atlanta!! The ambiance is very nice, very Korean and more importantly the food is excellent because it's so fresh and delicious. The BBQ is fantastic but we love the Hot Pots even more!! For those who want vegetarian, the meatless hot pots are a great option On top of awesome food, the service is amazing. The owner is terrific; he is very helpful and he truly enjoys meeting the customers and helping them select the best meal for their taste. read more

We went there for a Saturday night birthday event and had a great experience. All the food was great, allthough each of us enjoyed something different. We were a group of 7 people and enjoyed the outdoor patio. The service was very friendly and attentive. They kept a cake my friend had dropped off as a surprise for her husband. Overall if you're in the area I would check out this place. The Korean owner has been in Milledgeville for decades. I thought it was also a good value. ETA: the owner reached out to me within hours. He was very apologetic and offered no excuses. He personally invited me to come again. I am changing my one star to three. I will update again once I actually dine here. I really appreciated the owner caring enough to message me. I really wish I COULD review this place. I have been hearing how delicious it is. I was excited to be in the area and finally get to try it. I stopped in for an early dinner. No one was up front, but I stood around a few minutes. I then went to the restroom and looked around some more. I then called using my phone to attempt to get someone's attention. No answer. I went out to my car and called again. Still no answer. I'm sure I saw someone back in the kitchen, but couldn't get his attention over the music. I was really looking forward to eating here. It was a big disappointment. Maybe next time. read more

Love the food and love the service! We always get the AYCE option and leave so full. We live in Warner Robins but drive the hour+ out to Milledgeville whenever we crave Korean food because it's THAT good. We used to drive out to McDonough for KPop but the quality of food here is so much better. And you can't beat the service...the owners are so friendly! The restaurant is fairly new and is very nice inside. Pretty tile work and light fixtures. It's also connected to a small Korean market where you can get some yummy bottles of soju and Korean snacks to-go. Don't skip this place ... it's a must! read more

This is Korean BBQ done right! I was visiting in Milledgeville, and it is a very interactive atmosphere by the staff. The lady and her son Joon Sung were charismatic individuals that balanced the scale of professionalism and passion for not only their food, but customer satisfaction and interaction. Ms Y, you say 'this is unlikely if at all' but you without a doubt remember the evening. You go on to give excuses about the service that you know was subpar that evening. This is an open forum in which honest reviews are encouraged and that is exactly what I gave. My first time here the service was not great and it happens that way sometimes. A simple apology for the service that night would have been more appropriate than your trying to deny it and then make excuses for it. I said that the food was great and it was! My oldest son and I drove to Milledgeville today to see my youngest son sing in a chorus concert at GCSU. After the concert, we were looking for a good place to eat and found great ratings for JK Korean Barbecue so we decided to give it a try. We were definitely not disappointed! Between the great food, the nice owner, and her hilarious son that cooked for us all night, it was a great experience (laughing and eating all night). Owner is a Korean-American immigrant who serves authentic Korean food that is straight up delicious. Give it a chance and you wont regret it. Great place for a date night has nice lighting and cozy korean bbq setting. You cant get authentic Korean BBQ like this anywhere else around here but Atlanta so this place is a must try. We had heard from family in town that this was the best restaurant, so of course wanted to try it. We chose the restaurant side, not the BBQ side. The food was wonderful. I recommend the Chicken Bulgogi. It was delicious. The lady there was incredibly kind upon hearing our story and brought us Melo Pops (they were fantastic!) since we'd come so far and specifically come there. Went for the first time today, for lunch. Great food, got the bulgogi and dajigogi. Also got some dumplings that were outstanding. The beef radish soup does not sound so great but was really tasty and would be a real treat when under the weather. Service was great also. Very friendly staff and very attentive. I highly recommend this place. I plan to return for dinner and do the grill your own food option. That sounds like it would be fun. My girlfriend and I went here for Valentine's Day our server who I think was the one of the owners was amazing. She cooked table side for us and was awesome to talk to and super friendly. The food was amazing especially the dumplings and beef tenderloin. This place is awesome I'd recommend it to everyone.
