I'm visiting Auburn, NY so I called and made an appointment for a manicure and a pedicure. When I arrived, they had me start on the pedicure first I explained that I wanted gel on my toes and dip polish on my fingernails. The girl who was helping me told me to pick out a color. I did pick out a color and reiterated I wanted the same color for my toes and my fingernails, which was gel on the toes and dip polish on the fingernails. She assured me that she had the color for gel and for dip polish. When completed she had a young man work on my manicure. He removed my previous Polish and went to put on gel polish. I explained to the young man that I wanted Dip polish on my fingernails. He stated they ran out of the dip polish. I informed him that I would not have picked this color if there was not a matching color. The young man stated I can do dip clear polish on the bottom, but then do the rest gel polish. I explained to the young man this is not what I requested. I told him that I will pick out another color for dip polish on my fingernails, That will also be in gel polish for my toenails and my toenails will be redone Due to the negligence of the previous technician, not communicating properly. Upon checking out, I was informed that there is a 5% charge if you pay by credit card, I inquired where the sign was posted and he stated it's here on the counter. You could barely see it because the tape was crumbling, and the wording was hidden underneath the rolled up tape. I paid for the pedicure, however when it came to Paying for my nails, he said it would be $45. I asked him is this just for a polish change and he said yes. I explained to him that I requested a manicure the manicure was given. He said you have to get gel polish in order to get a manicure. This is comical to me as I have never been to a Nail salon that states you must do gel polish in order to get a manicure! I will never go to the salon again, Nor would I ever recommend the salon to anyone!!! consumer beware Of the salon!!! To the owners I highly recommend communicating with your customers and listening to your customers. Make your sign bigger that says you're gonna have to pay 5% if paying by card. read more

The quality of the manicures pedicures here depends on the tech. Today mine was so disappointing. The salon is not clean, the massage chair did not work, she never asked me about the temp of the water it was just not a good experience. read more

Came in without an appointment and was seated within 2 minutes. The staff was kind, approachable, and super helpful with finding the exact colors for my Manicure and they took their time. Definitely recommend and absolutely will go back - their prices are also unbeatable!! read more

Fairly good quality job and price. Had a party of several getting gel pedis and dip mania, so we had a good number to compare. Pedicure was pretty good, and most of our tools were pulled out of the thermal cleaner machine. Dip manicure did not include an actual manicure. Very little was done for anyone's cuticles, and there was no hand soak or massage. Also, all of our nails had a larger than expected gap between the edge of the color and the edge of our skin. Worst wax and nail experience ever! Waxed my legs and left large patches of hair and gobs of wax on my legs. Pedicure ended up costing me $1000+ due to an infection in my toe from dirty clippers cutting my nail too close and cutting skin. read more

I give this place one star, not because their work is bad. Their work is pretty decent, but because of their sanitation. its the worst i hare ever seen. everything they did was against regulations. they wiped down the foot soaking tubs with only soap, which will not kill bscteria, and did not run barbicide through the jetted tubs, so there is still bacteria within those jets. they reused the toe separator, nail files, and foot files, which is disgusting. so much bacteria all over everything because they are unsanitizeable. Also, my friend got dip powder nails done and did not have her wash her hands first and just dipped her bacteria filled hands into those powders, filling it again, with bacteria. The sanitation of this place is the reasom i will never go back. read more

All of the prices have gone up, a lot. they are the biggest place for nails and pretty much have a monopoly in the Auburn area. the job they now do isn't nearly as good as when they first opened. I have been going there for many years. Not any more. it's now a rush job to pump people through as fast as possible . read more

I like this nail salon. The staff is generally nice and do a good job. It doesn't exceed the standard of other salons around here but it is not bad. There are reasonably priced, about average for the area. The inside is outdated but a very clean facility. I will return here as I have multiple times in the past! read more

normally when i go here i have a great experience but yesterday when i was there they told me a 20 minute wait and ended up being 30. witch i don't mind. then it took the guy doing them about 5 minutes to figure out what i wanted ( a normal french nail with non shimmer base ) but he keep on saying "do you want the DIP on fake nail or real nail" and when i said normal polish on my real nail he said " so french gel on fake nail?" and after a while of going back and forth an older man about 40 said " she wants french on her REAL nail ". he ( the guy doing my nails ) seemed real mad when he was actually doing my nails. almost like he was mad at me anyways the job he did was not worth the 30$ the white was uneven and messy also even after about 10 minutes on the dryer the polish on my thumb pushed back when i got changed to go to my graduation. read more

My husband and I just moved to Auburn last month so I haven't had a chance to find a good place for an eyebrow wax. I decided to stop here today (9/28/2015) on a whim after school.. I wish I never set foot in there! First of all, the outside appearance is very dingy and unappealing...and that's not even part of the reason I'm giving the place one star. As soon as I walked in, every staff member stopped what they were doing to look up and stare at me. One of them rudely yelled out, "What you need?" I told them I just wanted an eyebrow wax and they pointed towards the back. So I walked to the back where there was a very small waxing room with two old-looking beds that looked like they were taken out of an abandoned insane asylum. They did not appear to be comfortable or sturdy at all. Oh, and laying on one of the beds was a staff member just hanging out and speaking Vietnamese to the staff member who brought me there. They were definitely talking about me because one of them said something and then the other one went out and got a chair for me to sit in instead of having me lay on the bed. I'm a plus-size woman so apparently they thought I was too fat for their ratty beds. Hey, the beds looked ancient and fragile so maybe I was. But it was still incredibly rude. The person who waxed my eyebrows didn't say a word to me the entire time. At the end, I was so mortified from the chair incident and hearing them banter in their language about me that I didn't even have the energy to tell the woman that she did a horrible job on my eyebrows. There was hardly any difference from when I walked in. She literally waxed around the edges of my brows a little bit and did no shaping whatsoever. Then it was time to pay. I pulled out my card and the staff member who had been lounging in on one of the beds says to me, "You have cash?" Umm, no...that's why I'm giving him my card. I told him I didn't and then he told me that there was a $15 minimum to pay with a card. My brow wax was only $8. So at this point, I'm so irritated. I was not informed of this and I did not see any signs stating it. I must have been visibly annoyed because they began bantering to each other in their language again and one of them came over with a gift certificate and told me she'd put however much of my change on there that I wanted after I deducted my tip. Uhh, seriously? I always tip. Always. HOWEVER, it is tasteless and rude to ask about a tip, let alone TELL ME to include it. That's just obnoxious. Then they told me to go to the ATM down the street and I don't have time for all of this so I tell them to just charge me $15 and the person could have the extra $7 for a tip. I didn't have the energy to try and argue in English. They totally ripped me off and gave me the absolute WORST wax job EVER. I will never ever go back. What a nightmare! I had to be in Auburn on extended family business and needed to get a mani-pedi. Not being familiar with the area and my family not being one for doing this sort of thing couldn't recommend a place, I tried this shop. I do NOT recommend it. I asked if they could match the color of toe polish to my nail tips. They said sure. They did this by painting the tips with the the nail polish instead of using color gel, which chipped off with in a week, then charged me a fortune for a half-way done job. The guy that did my nails kept looking around and not paying attention to what he was doing so when he did the clear gel overlay over the nail polish, he had to do it over, yet he tried to blame it on me. This is the worst salon experience I have ever had, getting my nails done. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I agree with what the other poster said, If you have no other choice, do it yourself. Went with my mother this weekend and had a great experience! I used to live in New York and they usually rush you out the door, same with other places I've been upstate. We both got pedicures and they spend a lot of time, and the end result was great! I loved the paint job they did as well. You also can't beat the price for how long they spend massaging cleaning the cuticles and painting. read more
