Upset at how the nail tech did not want to cut my toe nails short ....& wasnt nice about it.

Used to come here a few years ago and I swear things were much different and better. Decided to give them a shot again since they were the only ones able to get me in. They redecorated which is great, (forgot to take pics of inside). Pedi was great by Laura. Nails.. well.. you be the judge from the pictures. While Lilly took her time.. they're still all crooked and misshaped. I couldn't tell right away, but once I got in my car.. yeah.. it's just bad. 5 years in WA and still have her to find a decent salon that does great nails. I don't think I'll be back. 7 days later and the gel is peeling off.. and nails are starting to lift. Worst nail job ever. read more

This place deserves some credit! Busy Saturday of course and I needed a fill on the fly. Called ahead (like a min ahead) and she said she could do it so in I went. Didn't have to wait even though they were busy. So she started to go at em. Price starts at $15 for a full then she charged me $5 more to take off 3. It only took two seconds to take them off so I think it's a little silly but it's so inexpensive I wasn't worried about it and it needed to be done. So just be prepared. Only two downsides were that she filed my skin. Ouch! Little blood but I'll live. And I had to keep saying "rounder" for square round. So left with them a bit more square than I prefer but they still look great! All in all it was very convenient and quick! So if in the area again I will be back. :) read more

Well let's just say this is my First help review and they deserve it. And I found this place because of everyone's great reviews First they are clean and a big space. Every lady is jolly and happy and so nice you can tell everyone enjoys working together. Also they have every rhinestone and jewels you could think of. They are very gentle and don't grind down your nails painfully. They also are able to make the perfect shapes I am so picky I will refuse to pay for bad work if they don't fix it. But Lee the lady who did my nails was amazing and fixed a previous places mistake. She also applies nail decor with acrylic so it doesn't just pop off everywhere else I've gone just coated it with top coat. Anyways. By far the best shop I've been to. I paid $100 for my gel nails and a eyebrow waxing and tomorrow I'm coming back for a gel pedicure with hot stones. Truly a wonderful business and employees. And im a very picky brat. Haha read more

I really wanted to love this place! They were so friendly and got me in last minute at the end of the day! The woman who was doing my pedi chatted with me the whole time and was super sweet. My nails looked fine when I left but by the next day 4 of my shellac nails were chipped... by day 2 almost all of my fingers were chipped or totally off. A shellac mani usually lasts me 7-9 days. read more

Tammy is my go to nail tech she is the Best For my needs The other staff members are also so warm friendly and very professional I really like there're vibe GOOD GOOD PEOPLE!! If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Where do I begin? First, they literally ripped the acrylic nails I had on, off. She said I was too sensitive and, of course, smack talked with her co-worker the whole time. I explained I wanted the acrylic off and go back to the dip powder. I feel like there are more creative options (hombre, etc.) with the dip powder. She tried to put acrylic back on my nails three times and would get mad when I reminded her I wanted the dip powder. Also, my daughter was getting her nails done too. I told them she wanted dip piercer. Guess what she got? Yes, acrylic! She wanted a simple design but the first nail was so bad she just went for a solid color. Second, I had a pedicure as well. I sat while three other people came and left waiting for my nails to be done. So after ripping off the last of my nails, and poking me to the point of breaking the skin with cuticle trimmer she begins the dip powder. I'm thinking ok when do we start with the color? She tells me oh no, I did the clear powder you have to pick a gel polish now. This is just too much. Long story short, I had enough and told her forget it. So how much is my bill? $160!? Ok, whatever ladies. This the worst nail salon I have ever been to in my life. They are rude and instead of trying to fix a bad situation they over inflate the bill. Personally, I think it's incredibly rude to speak a different language in front of your customers. I know they all do it, but it's rude. If you dislike your clientele to the point that you must talk smack right in front of them, find a different profession! And if you can't or won't provide certain services, just say so! read more

I get out walk in and she says "hi how may I help you" I asked "what's the price for a French tip" she said "oh I'm really busy right now" I said "okay well how long is the wait" she said "very long time" I turned around and walked the fuck out. I went for a pedicure and full set yesterday and was charged $30 for my pedicure which is decent. Had to reschedule for my full set because I was being nice since she over booked herself and misunderstood what I wanted. So went in today, 20min early to my appointment for a full set +Matte polish and was charged $65!!!!!!!!! I would understand if she would have changed her prices on the board which was $35 (normal prices). I have NEVER paid almost $100 for a Full set and pedicure no matter what design. I called back and asked what her price was for a full set and she said $30 depending on how long and what shape you want. Since when does it cost more for shape and how long? I understand we are all going through it because of COVID but it would have been nice to be given a heads up on how much she was charging from the get go! On top of that she's claiming her card machine doesn't work so is only taking cash and not telling us customers until its time to pay and doesn't give receipts. After reading all the reviews I decided to give this place a try and I was not disappointed. I love how kind and smiley they are,from the owner (I think) to my manicurist who did my nails wonderfully. I got a shellac manicure and was happy with it since it was nicely applied without getting on my cuticles.... unfortunately it is hard to find a nail shop that can polish cleanly with shellac polish but THIS salon won't disappoint you... you will be happy with beautiful nails. read more

I visit this place regularly. The owner Lee and all of her staff are very welcoming and friendly. The service is very good. I have read some of the comments and while everyone is entitled to their opinion, I find some of them harsh and unfair. I walk out of the shop every time with a job well done as I communicate with the staff during my services. I get the mani/pedi every time I am there. If the massage is to frim, I tell them and the pressure is changed. If my nails are not what I want, I communicate that during the process.....not after. I have been going there since Lee bought the shop so her and Tammy know what I like and what I don't. I have brought friends with me who still come because they too like the service. When they speak their native language....it doesn't bother me, as it is no different then when any other bilingual group of people choose to speak their native language. I do not think they are talking about me.....and if they are....so what. The services at JLNails is priced competitively with other places, but I keep coming back because of Lee and Tammy. I was in the area so I stopped by. It was the day before Christmas Eve & every place seemed packed but I was able to be seen right away. I wanted to take my acrylic nails off and just do a shellac manicure. However, they suggested to get a fill and take them off after the holidays. I honestly was okay with that because I figured doing a fill would be faster. The staff seemed nice- my nails came out fine. However, that same night, 2 nails broke I was so annoyed that the next morning around 1030 I went there to get them fixed, but they didnt open till 11am-didnt have time to wait. That night 2 more nails broke..I wasnt doing anything crazy for any of my nails to break and no one should have nails broken the same day getting them done or a day after. Now that Christmas is over, I will go there tomorrow to have them take ALL my nails off ..it's ridiculous read more
