Went to Lamour for a pedi yesterday. This place was a good find. Very friendly and nice and clean. The water temp was perfect for my feet. My pedicure last 50 mins and was blissful. I had the hot stone therapy with the parrafin wax. So relaxing !!! Have to say my massages me feet very good. She took her time. She giggled when I handed her my color choice. Good costumer service and good service. The owner made sure everything requested was received. I brought my mother in for a pedicure. She has very difficult ingrown toenails and she was able to take care of them. Not only does she have difficult toenails but she is also going through chemotherapy and undergoing a lot of medications that compromise her bleeding to easy. I was traveling and staying at hotel across the street. I called ahead and was told to come at a specific time. My wait was less than 5 minutes. I decided on a gel pedicure and dipped manicure. (I had gel already on both). Jessie (the owner) and her team carefully removed the gel with soaking my nails in acetone and filing a little at a time. My bff and our 3 daughters stopped here. Her and I pedi's and our 3 10 year old daughters just wanted their nails painted, nothing fancy. They said they had time for us. Every one that worked there seemed to be busy so we double checked that they had time. They kept assuring us they could fit us in. My friend and I got put in the pedi chairs while the 3 girls sat in the waiting chairs. 30 minutes later they start my friends pedi. Another 15 minutes after that they started mine. They took one of the girls and started hers. In the mean time 7 people walked in the door. Every one of them were helped before the second of our girls was seated. They did one of the girls nails while she was standing up as an afterthought . Bottom line don't say you can take us when you can't. We would of been fine coming back later when they weren't so busy. Needed a new mani done last minute. I've been wanting to try this place out. I called to make sure they accepted walk ins- and they did. A lady named Angie did my nails. Absolutely loved it! I've aways had a hit or miss with lighter nail colors and she explained to me it's typically hard to even it out on a nail. I've had a better experience and results with my nails in this salon than previous ones. I have been trying out different places lately just to find out which one I would be most satisfied with and I think I might've just found what I've been looking for! Will be coming back! For sure! I visited here on a whim 2/21. I went with a mani/pedi. There where a few other customers all being attended to, I was treated to have two ladies attending to me. Both took great care in my mani/pedi. Loved the hot wax and stone massage. My manicurist finished up with precise painting and removing any from the sides of my fingers. The oil massage felt wonderful. Very pleased with the service by the staff to the relaxing atmosphere of the salon. Quite pleased. I recommend, great prices too. I came into Lamour for a shellac manicure and it was a mistake. The guy used a Dremel to take off my previous shellac and it made my nails very thin and brittle (I'm pregnant so I've had thick healthy nails for 6+ months). He started adding the new shellac and it was applied very thin and sloppy. It was on the sides of my nails/skin and he didn't wipe it before putting under the light. It felt like normal nail polish after he was done because of how thinly he applied it. After 3 days all of my fingers began to chip off and it looks awful. I called at noon on a Sunday and they got me right in. The salon is beautiful. There wasn't any harsh chemical smells and the ladies were so nice! The massage pedicure chair was delightful. Being so far from home it was definitely a nice treat. I opted for the deluxe pedicure with shellac. I think my favorite part was the foot massage. There seemed to be a bit of confusion. The ladies thought I wanted a manicure as well and I had to stop them from drilling my nails off. The only thing that I was confused about is the ladies kept switching between clients. So, this is your pretty typical strip mall nail place, with a few twists. First of all, it's HUGE! Like, 2-3 times the size of a normal nail place. So, they have about six pedicure chairs and lots of sitting/waiting spaces. BUT usually the average amount of employees are working, so if it's busy you won't get any faster service than normal. I can only speak for the manicures and pedicures, but they definitely go above and beyond. Well, the pedicures are $25, so a little steep, with the mani/pedi combo being $37 I believe. However, I swear a pedicure takes a full 45 min - they use hot stones, massage, AND paraffin dipping! You definitely get your money's worth. Also, when you just want to be left alone and zone out they don't talk to you, which is a huge plus for me. Only downside - they don't use the foot razors :( I know alot of people think they're nasty, but they get the job done! read more

We called to make an appt. but I wouldn't even call it that since apparently our "appointment" was just them saying to come in (nothing was written down and when I told them my name they just stared at me). We noticed they turned no one away and people who called beforehand to make these "appts" stood around waiting, which was really rude. The nail polishes were really cheap and poorly painted on and the "Deluxe" Pedicure was mediocre. The hot stone massage lasted for maybe 2 minutes and everything felt really really rushed. Came in for a pedicure and shellac Manicure. It was busy so we waited patiently. As they got to other customers ( white customers) they thanked them for waiting because they were busy but when the lady came to me she didn't even speak at all just snatched my leg out the water. From the start she was already doing a half axx job. I asked her to go over my foot again for dead skin because I could still feel it and she got an attitude and asked if I wanted to do it. Why would I be hear paying for a pedicure if I wanted to do it? Absolutely out of line question. Then she just got worse so I told her I no longer wanted her do my feet. Then decided to leave, other people asked her what happened she just said I didn't want to pay ( which is what all prejudice Asian people say toward black people when they're giving them crappy service and we complain about it). I told the guy I would pay something and he tried to tel me $15!! I sat in water for 1 1/2 hours, all she did was file my toe nails and cut some cuticle which was done very lazy. Gave him $10 which I regret and walked out. Will never go back to Lamour nail spa! A friend & I were on a work trip when we wanted to get our nails done. She had gotten her nails done first & had mentioned that they will try to make you take the cash out your wallet instead of pay with card, so the next day, I went to try them out myself. From the looks of it, it's a very cute and organized place. When I was getting seated after a woman had been in that same chair, they were going to use the SAME towel as the other woman had set her hands on and didn't even bat an eyelash about cleaning the area after a client. So, I had asked them to clean the table prior to starting on my nails and she just took the same towel the previous client had and wiped the desk.... seriously?... So I just asked her to clean with something sanitary. It might be too much to ask of me for some people, but I work in healthcare and staying clean should be a priority. So I had gotten an acrylic overlay and the first woman working on my nails had put tips on after I asked for overlay? Then a man steps in and does half my nails with overlay, so now I have hands that feel so uneven. Not once while he was painting my nails did he ask how they were and whatnot. My nails turned out horrific and I wish I just didn't even get them done. Ok, not that horrific, the fact that they didn't listen to my request of overlay and started putting tips in, messed up my nails. After needing to pay, I was asked if I had cash (of course), and it was looked down on that I didn't have cash for tips. lol. Overall service wasn't pleasing. read more

A very special guy friend came with me to get pedicures here. He'd never had it done. He was convinced that it wouldn't be a good experience and nervous because he is shy and has a slightly skewed opinion on men getting mani/pedi's. Boy did these ladies change his mind! I had been in before so don't get me wrong, I wasn't leading this guy in blind. I've made Lamour my nail stop (officially), if I'm ever in need of any upkeep and I'm south of Pine in Seattle. That is how wonderful they are here. He enjoyed every minute of it as he should. The pedi chairs are private, with the option to have the curtain drawn if you want that by-yourself-feel. The paraffin dip is excellent and they are not stingy in the massaging experience. To be honest, I sometimes feel in other nail shops that all the foreign chatter that is practiced is sort of rude and can be a little awkward but here, they don't carry on so much. Went here today to get a shellac mani, pedi, and an eyebrow wax for my birthday. Shellac mani was sub par. The girl didn't even try, Polish is baked on the side of my fingernails. Pedicure was okay. I'll give them a star for that. Oh and the eyebrow wax. Brace yourselves everyone... Part of my eyebrow is missing! I'm talking BALD. I should've asked Cindy to do my brows but I let one of the younger looking girls touch my brow. Every time I look at my brows I am reminded of how upsetting it makes me feel. I love how the girl even TRIED TO COVER UP HER MISTAKE by saying I was BALD to begin with!!! I can't even. Looks like I'll be filling it in w/a pencil and use eyelash serum to speed up the growth. I have been a customer here for almost 7 years. I am very particular about my manicures as I have an eye for detail and this place has consistently delivered very clean, even and gorgeous manicures. I typically get shellac. Their shellac selection for brands and colors are nice. If I see something that doesn't look right with my manicure, I can tell them comfortably and they will fix it without making me feel bad. Their spa pedicures are relaxing and includes a long massage along with paraffin, hot stones, hot towel, lotion and oil. Their pedicure chairs are fairly new and definitely modern. They play soothing music and the staff is very quiet when speaking to each other. Cindy, the owner, is my favorite person to go to. She is kind, accomodating and remembers her customers. She usually has plenty of staff available. I have never had to wait for long and always accepts walk ins. read more

They're soooo racist too , by the end I had to finish my own nails because whenever someone white came in they would leave me and start doing their nails and not come back until theirs were done!!!! They did the same thing to my younger sisters who were getting pedicures too.The full set acrylic was suppose to be $30, but if you get a coven shape you have to pay $5 dollars more.
