Called a few days before to reserve spots for 12 of us. It actually decreased to 9 people. When we spoke to the nail salon they said come closer to 10:30 to get everyone in. We showed up at 10:30 and they seemed offended and stated that they told us 11:30. (Which is not what we were told) we said we would wait, but then they rushed through each of us and acted as though we were impeding their time and schedule. No massaging, rushing through the drying process. The 'manager' who did not start any service, finished a few of us off as if we were holding her up. She rushed through the process to get other technicians to move on to new customers. My companion's GEL nails have already fallen off and we got them done THIS morning!! I also developed a rash from my technician who left halfway through my service to cash people out with the same gloves he wore to complete my pedicure. It was burning and I had to use Benadryl cream. We came as a walk in on a Sunday morning for manicures and pedicures. I got a dip manicure and gel manicure and my bf got a manicure and pedicures. They were able to seat us together and hot both our services done in just little over an hour. They were friendly and the salon was clean and well organized. The nail technicians were also very gentle and didn't cause any cuts or unnecessary pain that you sometimes get at other salons when techs rush or aren't paying attention to you. We will definitely come back again as the prices were very affordable compared to back home in LA. read more

This place is pretty typical to other nail places I've been to, in that I'd rather do my own nails every time. It's overpriced for chipping after a few days, they really don't talk to you and only talk to the other techs. Verbally ask for a cash tip and if you tip in card, they will immediately get an attitude and complain about you to other techs. They also barely touched my feet as far as exfoliating and other stuff. It seems they also fake reviews on Google because there's no way they're truly rated that high. Will not go back. read more

I've given JL nails three years, and I will be honest and say that, unfortunately, the service has gone downhill exponentially. I have brought friends and family members in, and there is no loyalty, no appreciation. I will echo what others have said, I am asked to leave cash tips, and I do so without hesitation. When I first started going, it was brand new and you could tell that they tried hard and wanted their customers to leave happy. Now they simply don't care. I make my appointment over the phone and have to wait at least 30 minutes to an hour for my appointment. The employees are rude and bossy, I have been CUT numerous times by their carelessness. There is no urgency for your actual appointment, but they expect you to sit in a bowl of acetone and scrub everything off your own nails and when you haven't gotten all the previous dip off, they get frustrated with you. There is no attempt to make idle chitchat, they talk amongst themselves. Overall, the service has been going downhill for years, but this latest experience has caused me to have to seek a new nail salon. read more

I am new to town and needed to get my nails done really bad. Other places were too busy to get me in so I decided to give JL Nails a try. When I called, they were rude over the phone asking, "what do you want". So that was my first impression. I got to the salon and was being talked to from across the other room about what I wanted which was very awkward. When it came time for my nails, again just very rude customer service. As if they were annoyed that I didn't know "their way of doing things". They told me to pick a color but didn't tell me it was only the colors with numbers out next to them. DO NOT GO HERE! I was nervous attempting this location, but the reviews were decent. I had an older woman who did a HORRENDOUS job. Worst part, she CUT my skin, next to my toe, so now I am applying hydrogen peroxide and neosporin daily. This is almost a week later. The pedicure was awful. It's been hard for me to find a salon in the area that's up to my standards of cleanliness on top of doing a decent manicure, but JL is definitely the best I've found. Some nail techs here are more skilled than others, and it took a few visits to find one that's consistent, but once I did, this is the only place I will go in the area. I've gotten dip, gel, and acrylics and have had great experiences nearly every time. I've had one bad manicure here before but as soon as I showed the owner the issue she redid all of my nails for free (and wouldn't even accept the tip I tried to give her!) and they turned out amazing. If your nails don't come out the way you want them to, the owner definitely wants to know and will do what she can to make things right for you. One thing I would not recommend here are the pedicures, I can't say I've been super impressed with the few experiences I've had. That being said, I've gotten some of the best nail sets i've ever had done at this salon. I'd recommend asking for either of the owners since they are both incredible nail techs! read more

I booked a 1 pm appt the day before for a gel manicure. I called the morning of my appt to see if they had time to fit in a polish change for my toes and they said no problem. I waited nearly 45 min for my appt because they clearly took in too many walk ins and didn't realize who was booked. The technician complained at least 5x about how my nails were too short. She literally put nail polish up my fingers and didn't wipe off the polish on the sides of my fingers next to my nails. When I asked for acetone to remove the extra polish she told me to wash my hands. When you go to check out she takes your card and then asks if I'll be leaving a cash tip. I saw another poor woman with an appt wait 45 min and give up and walk out. This place won't last long. I went here for the first time to check it out based on positive google reviews but won't be back. read more

I got a chrome refill & the chrome started chipping after the first day I got it, the guy who did my toes did only one coat & the gel already is chipped on my toes as well. for a place who chargers you for every minor detail i expected so much more.
