Then they pressured into signing day of, for an $8k discount or so. Pressure under time - never buy into it. Then they started calling. "Can get you this deal if you agree to do the worth between x months." It literally went down to $28k by the time I had to tell them I went with someone else. They only do pavers. Any additional work would need a different contractor to complete the work. Something as simple as capping an exterior gas line, demo of existing structure etc. they just weren't a fit for our project and what we needed.

I wanted a typical construction driveway removed and replaced; 6 x 6 inch wire mesh, crushed gravel base compacted, more joints than usual, etc. Alex was responsive and left the jobsite a little bit cleaner than when they arrived. From the beginning they were on time and 'as promised'. He provided a bid/contract ON PAPER and has a very useable website which can be accessed from a qr-code on the extra large glossy business card. For grins I went on the CSLB website to look up his contractor's license number. The listing for Alex was squeaky clean with everything in order! He takes charge cards as well. Couldn't be happier with the job they did and the way they did it. From initial contact to the last vehicle left the property, care was taken with the movement of construction equipment and wash out after the pour was complete. DO NOT HIRE ROMAN CONCRETE / RAUL…read more Extremely disappointing experience with a large residential decorative/sandwash concrete project. The finished concrete has major inconsistencies in appearance. Within a relatively short time after installation, the concrete also developed a gritty/friable surface, ongoing shedding of sand and small particles, and areas where aggregate appears to be loosening. I have now had to obtain the ready-mix batch tickets, consult concrete professionals, and arrange an independent petrographic examination to determine why new concrete is deteriorating. After reviewing the batch tickets, I also discovered that the concrete mix used did not follow Top-Cast's published mix-design guidance for this type of finish. To make matters worse, Roman also sent a preliminary lien notice involving my neighbor's property, which created an entirely separate issue that never should have involved my neighbor. I spent a significant amount of money on this project and should not be dealing with uneven workmanship, deteriorating concrete, forensic testing, and lien-related problems afterward. I would absolutely not hire this company again. Steer clear.
