Upon pulling into the facility we noticed it was well gated and liked the privacy screens on the fence so the dogs in care wouldn't go bizerk when we pulled up causing a distraction to the whole place. The lobby smelled clean and had a faint homey cinnamon smell which was comforting (A main priority for us was the smell cause it really tells you a lot about the care of that makes sense) We explained that he didn't do well with other dogs in the past, has pollen allergies since we're still adjusting to San Antonio, and that he had some anxiety medication in case he needed it. Turns out he gets along with other dogs very well and made many friends! He also was able to play and tolerate outdoors much better, and he didn't need his meds the last few days of his stay. Huge improvement! We highly appreciate that they offered 24/7 webcams and believe me, we checked in VERY often. I loved that they sent us pictures and messages daily keeping in communication. We feel the care our pup received was excellent and we will definitely will bring him back anytime we need to board him. Staff is extremely nice and Ariel did a great job on his grooming! Thank you HOFFS HOUNDS!

Please do not take your dog to this facility under any circumstances…read more My dog was injured twice in just three weeks while in their care--both times severely enough that he needed sedation, stitches, antibiotics, and pain medication. When we first started using this daycare, I noticed frequent billing errors and miscommunication, but I tried to be patient. Then things became more concerning. Three weeks ago, I boarded my dog while I was out of town. Within hours, I got a call saying he had been injured by another dog and had to be rushed to my vet for stitches. That alone had me seriously considering canceling his membership. But I decided to let him finish out the final week we had already paid for. On the very first day back, just hours after dropping him off, they called me again: he was injured--again. This time, they tried to blame him, saying he "escaped from his crate." Their stories kept changing, and I never got a consistent or honest explanation. Even the district manager admitted she didn't believe the injury was caused by the crate. When I spoke with the owner, it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. He was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional--yelling over me, refusing to let me speak, and at one point told me, as I was crying over the phone, that he wouldn't "sit on the phone and listen to me cry" and that I needed to "pull myself together." I've never been treated with such disrespect and coldness. Since sharing my experience online, multiple people have come forward saying similar things happened to their dogs at this same facility. I trusted them with my dog's safety and well-being, and they failed him twice. Please don't make the same mistake. In response to Dogtopia and their comment, you only covered his stay because I demanded it. You also are responsible for his care so taking him to the vet because of his injuries caused by another dog is not going above and beyond. We were out of town so would you just leave him to suffer in his cage? You also state that his second injury is from escaping from his cage but if his cage was latched properly that would have never happened. I would also like to add that the vet said both injuries resembled each other they were just in different locations. This is not from trying to get out of the cage which your district manager Amanda agreed!

I was looking for…read moreideas of good local trainers that were willing to train my German Shepherd that I adopted through a FB post that was from her 2nd owner. Yes I was her 3rd but final furever home which is probably why she had severe separation anxiety, timid toward men, and leash reactivity. I saw someone recommend them and then the owner Jessica replied as well and we started training a few weeks later. Prior to training I never would have thought I'd be able to take her around other dogs but now she's a gem. Jessica was able to teach me more about the different German Shepherd working lines which was a crucial part for me to understand why previous methods failed. Now my Sammi is more focused on we with walks, can be around other dogs with out reacting when she's on leash and behaves better at home. The best part is her spirit us not broken which I was worried about. She still runs around with her weird German Shepherd antics but now she listens. Currently we are still with them for our next training journey -- mobilty support/medical alert service dog training. I can't thank Tandem Canines enough for thier help and not just with training Sammi but me too. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs help with thier fur babies.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I hired Lindsey to take care of my two dogs while I was out…read morefor the weekend. She was supposed to make two visits in the evening, and two visits in the morning. I gave Lindsey my garage door opener, and the key to the door that leads from the garage into the house. Lindsey did not show up for the last evening and the last morning. I know this because I have a smart garage door opener, and I have an app on my phone that tells me when the garage door has been open and shut. NOBODY entered my garage on Saturday night or Sunday morning. When I got home and figured this out, I confronted Lindsey. The only thing she could say was that I was wrong, and she was there. I sent her a screenshot of the app for my garage door opener that shows dates and time stamps when the garage door was opened and closed. There were timestamps for the first two visits, but no timestamps for the third and fourth visits. She continued to deny and tell me that I was wrong, and that she made all four visits. Then she proceeded to berate me about my "dirty" home. What does it matter What my home looks like? She is there to take care of my pets, feed them, give them water, give them their medicine and leave. I even told her she didn't have to spend any extra time playing with them or petting them and they would be fine, since I have a doggie door, and they can go in and out as they please. She didn't even have to take them to the bathroom. I paid Lindsey around $150 for four visits, and she only made two visits. When she reads this review, she will probably get very defensive and spew some nasty stuff about my Home or about me, because that's how she is. Instead of apologizing and taking responsibility, she goes on the offense to make you sound like you're lying and being deceitful. Even though you have proof that she didn't do what she was paid to do. That's the kind of human being she is. Irresponsible, unprofessional, unkind and a liar. Even when she was confronted with concrete proof that she had not been there, she continued to lie. Do yourself a favor and find somebody else to take care of your beloved pets. There's a good chance they won't be fed and they'll be without water, and she's going to judge you for the appearance of your home.
