Yet, the guy who was sent to give us an estimate gave us the best impression, the total opposite of the impression on the phone, so we went along and provided the deposit. There was no agreement for them to buy parts nor do anything in particular, other than hold our spot for them to come back and start the job. At the end , we decided against the company and were very surprised to find out our check had already been cashed, when the repair had not even started. All they did was shut the water on that particular faucet to stop the leak until they could come back (and I would have been ok with paying for that, but my deposit was more than that was worth!). Nothing was said about a minimum for the visit. Yes, I did get my deposit back quickly, but the point is that I got a general bad impression from the get-go : One of lack of professionalism and clarity, on the phone. But the actual plumber who came, was great. Very knowledgeable, knew his craft.
