My boyfriend and I live near this spot which means we always drive by it. We were going to do subway instead we did here. Attracted by the fresh food marketing. Before we Ordered our food we said we were newcomers. I order chicken and waffles and my bf ordered avocado chicken sandwich. It looked decent. I was startled at my chicken because if looked thin and bent up which is how usually fish fries *IM ALLERGIC TO SEAFOOD* I took a bite and DISGUSTING. I saw it and the protein was so thin and looked sliced from the inside you know it had to be FISH. I go up there nicely and said I had ordered Chicken and got fish. The cook then tried to challenge me???? "How dare you tell me it's fish? We go there often. Have been there for every meal time. The food is always good and the prices are fair. It's a good mom and pop. They have a variety and menu changes a bit for dinner time which is nice. This time one of us had the meatloaf and another had the fish basket which had tons of fish, friend, but very meaty fish. New to the area from the northeast. Was looking for a diner vibe and this seemed to provide that. I walked in and sat down because I wasn't sure what else to do. They walked over and told me to come to the counter. I asked what she recommended and she said a lot of people like the steak and eggs. A gentleman by the door had that and the steak was pretty large and looked appetizing. I didn't understand why I had to pay and tip first. What am I tipping based on? That leaves zero incentive to provide good service. Well, little did I know after your food comes there's absolutely no service. They were less than friendly and another gentleman whom I assume is a regular was walking around filling peoples coffee. Just a very strange set up as he said "they expect tips but don't do anything". I received my food and what I received was most definitely not comparable to the steak and eggs I saw walking in. What I received was a thin piece of meat that consisted of about 40% un rendered fat. The flavors with the potatoes and the steak were pretty good. I just wish there was more consistency. I wouldn't have gotten it if I had known what my steak was going to look like compared to the other gentleman. Overall the vibe is ok, friendly patrons. Fresh, tasty food. In the area and wanted to try this local place. It has a fast casual setup but the food is fresh so you will wait like a sit down restaurant. The food is worth the wait. I had a fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was two fresh chicken cutlets, with mayo, tomatoes and lettuce. It was done on a buttered bread on the flattop and came with a side of fries. I also had to get an Al Pastor taco on a corn and this was a nice addition. I could have just had tacos and been happy with my meal. The food was awesome! So happy we found Jocy's for late breakfast on Sunday. We were in town from Houston, we never, ever eat Mexican or Tex-Mex when traveling because we are always disappointed, the Tex-Mex in Houston is that good. However, the Migas at Jocy's was amazing! I asked for light on the chorizo as I like a more eggy ratio to the meat. It was perfect! Their house made salsa was good and had reasonably good heat. My hubs and auntie had custom omelettes which they both enjoyed. All of our home fries were hot and crisp on outside. My son had the mixed grilled cheese and was cheesy perfection. Uncle had the Rueben sandwich, which he orders at lots of places and said it was also good. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend when in Princeton to eat here!!! read more

Since Bill Smith's Restaurant in McKinney shut down we have been looking for a place to have Sunday breakfast. Jocys ain't it. This is more a cross between a run down Taco Bell and a Jack in the box than a sit down restaurant. No table service. You order from a very limited menu behind the counter and get your own coffee. The Coffee bar has 3 different kinds of chemical creamers. No real cream or Half and Half. Coffee was good, strong but not bitter after counterman furnished small container of real milk. American breakfast had good scrambled eggs, ONE (only one) sausage patty, Fried potato pieces that tasted off, and dry toast (per request) that strongly tasted of garlic. Ambiance: Not so Much. A little sleasy. Loud ethnic music. Okay, but we won't be back. There are better cheap restaurants on the way from Blue Ridge to McKinney. read more
