I stop by here every time I'm passing by on the 80. The food is great, and the staff and regular local coffee patrons are friendly. They serve breakfast all day. :) Favorites on the menu: Huevos Rancheros - AMAZING! I don't normally order this at a diner because it's one of my favorite meals and it is too easy to get wrong .... Im so glad I broke my rule and tried it. They are better than grandma's (dont tell my grandma) ;) Chicken Fried Steak - The Huevos rancheros were so good I broke another of my rules and tried the chicken fried steak. It is homemade and not off of a Sysco truck! YAY! :D Fried Okra - hot and crispy soul food! Breakfast burger - A bacon cheeseburger with two eggs. YUMMY! Patty Melt - Ive lived San Francisco, and I assure you that a better melt does not exist. Reuben - Best Ive ever had! I have also never been disappointed by anything on their daily special board. The coffee is great too. Two people can order dinner, drinks, deserts, split an appetizer, and tip the waitress for $30 or less! The portions are huge, and the food is amazing. A great little local diner! Food is basic American diner fare - pot roast, chicken fried steak, breakfast all day- but the quality is a notch above. At 5pm the place was not as clean as we'd have liked (there was a broken plate under our table along with straw wrappers, etc) but the place isn't gross dirty. Our waitress Diane was great! Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. Online reviews praise the scones, which are good, but aren't scones; they are more like deep fried fritters. Will absolutely return! read more
