Their service seems to be getting much better. It used to only have 1 or maybe 2 waiters/waitresses on weekends, but it seems like they've added at least 1 more person. The crawfish is always on point here. The flavor of the crawfish is always consistent. Most other places that I've tried, it's hit or miss and I tend to miss more often.. I also love that they have buy 5 lbs get the 6th free. Now that I'm a hungry hungry hippo due to breastfeeding, I can enjoy all 6 lbs to myself! This owner was the rudest person and they stated they closed at 10pm on Wednesday and at 8:50 after spending over $100 they told us we have 5 mins to finish because the were closing and because the electricity cost money. I searched up this place through Yelp and I will definitely be back here whenever I am in town. My boyfriend and I drove here from Burleson, 30 minutes away from where he lives BUT it was definitely worth it. We came here on Friday noon and it was not that crowded. For a place like this, I would not doubt it will get pretty busy. The food were so good that we came back again on Sunday which is today :). The first time we came here, I got a dozen of oysters for 13.99 if I am not mistaken and they were huge and fresh! So yummy!!! My boyfriend got grilled shrimp fried rice which he also likes it a lot. I thought the rice were a bit salty but that could be because I was eating 3lbs of big and fresh crawfish that cooked in orange peels flavor. Yum!!! The second time we got 5lbs and they have a special for 5lbs + 1lb free. I thought that was a great deal. We ordered fried mushrooms for appetizer and holy smoke they were very juicy and I love the fact that each piece you can actually see the mushrooms unlike other places they only give bits of bits of mushrooms and not a full one. I just ordered 2 pounds of medium spicy crawfish 2 corn and 4 potatoes about an hour ago. This sad horrible the corn was soggy like it had been sitting in water, the potatoes were not fresh and one of them had a big black spot on it. The crawfish had no spice and you could tell they had been sitting in water, no flavor and I ordered medium spicy. I spent 25.31 on this. I won't go back. One of my friends recommended this place to me last year and I LOOOOVE it. I must have eaten here 10 times during craw-fish season. My first visit I brought my boyfriend and best friend. It's BYOB so we stopped at the gas station next door. You come in and get seated and they hand you a laminated menu- pretty basic stuff. We ordered a 6 lb bag of craw-fish (buy 5 get 1 free) corn on the cob, boiled potatoes and fried okra. The waitress comes back with a plastic table cloth and tapes the thing down on the table. You know your in for a good meal when they prep the table!!! A few minutes later they bring out our order. The craw-fish are huge! We ordered them extra spicy and it came out just right. Between the three of us we plowed through 3 six pound bags. By the time we were done eating my fingers/face was stained- my bestie had craw-fish juices in her hair and on her sweater, and my boyfriend has stains on his shirt. It was glorious. We left there looking like a hott mess. Minus the hott :) We promptly told anyone who would listen about how awesome the craw-fish is here. I've brought family from in and out of town here- dragged friends- everyone I have brought loves it. I haven't tried anything else but the craw-fish and a few sides, but I don't need to. There's not many places in Arlington to get crawfish but this place is one of the places I like more. The flavors are garlic butter, cajun, lemon pepper, or all three and you can choose your level of spicy. I can't say anything about the other food here as I only come for crawfish. When I went a couple weeks ago with 3 friends, the crawfish were pretty large and the flavor was awesome. So we came here after a failed attempt at trying Crescent City Seafood, and Joe's is hole in the wall type establishment, so don't expect anything fancy. I do have to say that the food was really good, and it's BYOB so we definitely put that to good use! We had the crawfish, and they were pretty decently sized ones with just the right amount of spice, and the flavor was on point as well. I personally love sweet potato fries in general, but these guys add a dash of spice to it, and it made it so delicious! Ugh. I'm not impressed with this place and was honestly disappointment. After looking on Yelp about all of the reviews, it is not as good as everyone states.The food is not that good. It's not savory, flavorful, nor tasty. I have definitely experienced a whole lot better at other places such as Shell Shack and Boiling Crab. There's no cajun to it, and you cannot taste the lemon pepper. You get a little hint of garlic and that's all. Customer Service is horrible, but what can you expect from an Asian restaurant? My family and I decided to stop in because Red Claw and The Crab Station had a wait. Huge mistake, the absolute worst establishment I've been to in the DFW area. Service was extremely poor. Upon walking in the door there was no greeting, then when finally seated waited 5 minutes before our drink order was taken. The food was mediocre and definitely not worth the money. No refills, never checked on us, and the building was absolutely freezing. I had to hurry and just finish my food so we could get the check and leave. This is hands down my favorite cajun place! Not your typical cajun recipes. I love crawfish and will travel for a great recipe! You can taste all the flavors in their amazing wet sauce. Yes, wet sauce! Did I mention this place is BYOB? Yes! I have been coming to this location for years. When they changed the name to Joe Cajun, I was hesitant but I gave it a try. We went to Joe Cajun last night and I was not impressed bright lights two TV's, crawfish served in a plastic bag on a plastic tray I got corn and potatoes no silverware the crawfish so small the tails was smaller than my little fingernail ,on the up side the spice was perfect! The service was the worst I have ever had. At the next table there was a bus cart there at the dirty table for 10 minutes but the problem was it had a 3 foot DIRTY trash can that they bus with. Really guys at least have a clean on if that's the way you want to bus tables.When I payed the bill I told the man (tall white guy) that the service was the worst I had ever had and he responded that they have always have had bad service.. Overall positive experience. We got #74 boiled seafood combo, spicy. This was our very first time ever eating a boiled seafood dinner in this fashion so we were a bit confused at first. However we simply dug in with bare hands peeling and deshelling and devouring the various shellfish. It was delicious for the first ten minutes but quickly got too cold to enjoy. I brought home a bunch of leftovers and plan to make seafood jambalaya with it. The following tips to the restaurant would have made our experience more enjoyable... the staff should offer more help and advice for first timers. For example, I didn't notice until after my hands were already covered in sauce that they had gloves available on request. They also didn't provide a cracker for the crab legs. After struggling to crack them by hand I finally asked for a cracker and they brought me one. Seems like that should have been provided without having to ask. The food deserves 5 stars. The service deserves 3 stars! Went here with some family the other night. There was no table except for us. Our party was separated by three tables. Not sure if our server was new, but she got confused a lot about where each order went. Sometimes we would get another tables order. But luckily, we knew the table so we would give it to them. She showed up to give us water, but I needed a fork and a knife for my corn, but she was no where to be found for 20 mins so I walked to the area where there was plastic ware and got it myself. It was much faster than waiting for her to come to our table. The food: The crawfish is not the super buttery/garlic one like boiling crab. It gets soaked with the seasoning and has a citrus flavor! It was finger licking good! The sizes were small. But I understand because it's still the beginning of the season. But our server informed us that they were much larger the night before, which was disappointing for us. But it was still good! Careful of the spicy levels. They take them seriously! Wings: the wings were perfectly crispy and had a good taste to it. They gave me mostly wings which made me happy. Fried pickles: I love pickles and sour things. But these fried pickles were extremely sour! Eat at your own risk! Great for pregnant women! Fried platter: I really liked the batter on all the food! Definitely recommend getting the combination fried seafood platter! Great for those who love fried food! Fried rice: the fried rice was good! The kids loved it! And it came out pretty quick! Oysters: the oysters tasted very fresh and they were huge and plump! All in all, the food was delicious. Returned here on 5/02/2014, and now I'd have to say that it's a hit or miss. I finally got my husband to take me back here since my first experience was so awesome. Unfortunately, the crawfish were small and dirty. Dirty as in you can't suck the heads because of all the black stuff dirty. About 90% of the crawfish had black stuff in them. The gentleman at the register told me that they weren't dirty...they were just black due to some reason I didn't comprehend. And did I mention they were small?
