Love that this small business is family owned and operated and has been here so long. I've been living in dfw for almost 6 years and I always see this place but yesterday was my first time having them. Their crawfish is simple, Cajun, slight Asian twist but not completely viet Cajun. I like it. It reminds me of the first time I've ever had crawfish. It was delicious and their spicy is actually spicy and I love it. The family owners are super sweet and friendly. The Good: Nice service in a great location. We had the fried catfish plate and the crawfish fried rice. My son enjoyed the catfish plate. i got to crawfish fried rice to try out since I was already skeptical about the boiled crawfish that we ordered. The fried rice was ok. It just needed a touch of seasoning, like soy sauce and a touch of salt. Yeah, I realized that soy sauce is saltly, but the rice was a bit bland, and rather than making "soy" flavored rice, I decided to add some missing salt and a touch of soy for flavoring. Now for the reason for the lower rating. I'm from Louisiana and Love for Crawfish is om my DNA. Tonight was the 1st time in over 50yrs of my life, I was not excited about having crawfish. It was not about the size, as it was late Jan and the restaurant can't control what's available. what was not so great "for me" was the lack of much flavor, apart from Hot spice. There was a hint of sweetness and the raw garlic in the provided sauce seemed to help a bit. Granted this was not a Louisiana joint so no big points off there. The disappointment was in the crawfish tails that were mushy, as though they had been in water for too long. many of them also were broken and some with no tails even. That was were I couldn't look past the Asian flavors and not the quality. You can't have 100% perfect crawfish, but having SO many missing tails, broken bodies, and mushy tails totally ruined it. Thankfully, we found a cool daiquiri spot up the street to enjoy when we were back home, that made up for it. Maybe I should not have been expecting Louisiana style boiled crawfish like in the photos on their site. There was no corn, or potatoes... We had sausage at home, so we cooked that and combined with the Daiquiris all was ok, in spite of the crawfish, I considered it a learning lesson. The crawfish are larger than other places and customer service is decent. Crawfish are also spicy, but that's how I prefer mines. The only reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because even before COVID-19 they were never open during operation hours. You could go up there any time of the day/week and no one would be there. Picked up togo from this place which is located in a plaza. The owner reminded me of my grandpa, he was very adorable. They had only one flavor but it was bomb. It was like they blended garlic, Cajun, and maybe tomatoes? I'm not sure but it was so good. I'd say one of my favorite crawfish I've eaten so far In my life. It was packed full of flavors. You can pick the spice level from 0-10. I picked 4 and was dying. Note to self... maybe pick two next time. Came here on a Sunday, crawfish was only 8.99 a pound, which is a good deal out of season. We got 3 pounds mild spice with corn, potatoes and sausage. We also got sweet potatoe fries. The food was brought to us in about 10 minutes. It was good size crawfish and it was seasoned well. The crawfish tasted good and I'd recommend, I liked how they seasoned the corn and potatoes. The sausage was a let down, I expected more. I enjoyed the sweet potato fries. There were a couple things that showed online that weren't here. Like they didn't have crawfish taco it showed. I'd recommend this place still though. It's in Asian mart in Grand Prairie and is definitely cool spot. read more

I usually order at least 3 pounds of crawfish, but since we were trying this place for the first time I decided to order one pound just to try. We ARE GLAD WE DID. The taste of the crawfish was very chalky, the crawfish is covered in SAUCE, some type of blended veggies and over seasoned with what tasted like cumin, not buttery at all. I have to downgrade my 5-star rating for this time :( More for food and taste inconsistency than anything else. The place is a food booth/stall within the Vietnamese mini-mall, but the service was actually really great (they come out and lay down a plastic table cloth portion on your table and provide you with napkins and a bib). The flavor and seasonings were exceptional, but it did not taste like the preparation was there this time. The crawfish didn't have the flavor of the sauce within the meat like I've tasted in the past. The flavor of the sauce was still still good from what I tasted, but lacking within the meat itself. It's a mellow hot chili pepper flav with a gingery taste. I'd describe it as kind of like the Vietnamese sate sauce that comes in the jar. The crawfish itself (I ordered 2 pounds) came in a large plastic bag and looked gorgeous. It was steamy-hot too.! I would still come here over any other crawfish place (I've had boiling crab, hot'n spicy, Pappadeaux and others). Their sauce and the way they do their crawfish is just very unique and flavorful. I went here because I was craving crawfish and did not want to wait in line at bayou cat. This place never failed me until now. I ordered 2 lbs of crawfish, corn, potatoes, and sausage. The flavor of the sauce is always on point and the sausage was good, but the rest was not good. Crawfish were frozen, which is ok, but make sure it's thawed out before you cook it. The crawfish meat was cold in the inside. As for the corn and potatoes, it was like the were cooked and left over from the day before and reheated. These crawfish were not only big, but the flavor of the sauce was out of this world. Spicy, garlicky and chunky. If there's a heaven I hope that's what it's like. My husband had the fish and shrimp basket. The shrimp and pieces of catfish were humongous. The people at the establishment were very nice. I found this place as a recommendation in AAA magazine for vietnamese/cajun. It was a 40 minute drive but well worth it. I've moved since our visit, it's a 55 minute ride, but I'll still be there. BTW, no beer to wash it down, however, the owner told us we can purchase beer at the supermarket and have it with our meals. I just can't say enough about this place. I wanted to try a new crawfish place I've never tried before and I found this place. I called in a to go order for 2 lbs of crawfish and 1 lb of shrimp an hour ago. The person on the phone asked me when I would get there and I said 15-20 minutes. I'm still waiting to get my food after I called an hour ago. I hope it's worth the wait. If I like it I'm not sure if this is going to be a normal thing that happens next time I order. Edit: It took 1.5 hours to get my food! Delicious! Their 2 lbs filled me up more than most places. I went earlier today, and considering it's off-season (September), the crawfish were still a good size! The elderly man behind the counter is super sweet, and he doesn't speak English well, but he's trying his best, so give him a break! I would say this is my to-go-to spot now considering the price ($6.99/lb, whereas a lot of other places are more expensive and not as tasty). A word of caution to the first-timer: the spicy is REALLY spicy. Now I'm a girl who can handle her spice, but dang, was it hot! Luckily for me, the spicer the better, but just be prepared!
