The only ice after I loaded it with hot oil and pepper flakes. BBQ Pork Fried Rice /
    Priscilla A.

Yes. I ordered food through a delivery app. The 1 - star was not about the delivery, it was about the taste of the food. I ordered the BBQ PORK fried rice and requested extra spicy with an egg added. It was overcooked almost to the consistency of mashed potatoes. I did, however, have pieces of raw rice included for no additional charge. GROSS. The service of my driver was great. Food was hot and he hit everything required. His ambiance was superior. The rice was bland and there was no flavor OR spice - AT ALL. They added slices of jalapeño. I had to add spice and it was almost identical to a bag of steamed rice. Yea. Never again.

Always hits the mark when it comes to authentic flavors. Servings are generous and if your looking for a place to satisfy those cravings for Chinese food, this is one of the places I would hugely recommend. It's all about the food and nothing fancy about the decor or dining area. Just the food! Located at Ben Than Plaza, you can't miss right upfront next to one of the main entrances.

Really great Chinese food! They have their special chicken with this amazing ginger scallion sauce, their Peking duck is always very fresh. My favorite is salt & pepper tofu, and a pound of the roasted pork. The crispy crunchy skin always hits the spot! They have other great food and a huge selection to choose from. Service and ambiance is good for dine in!

This was an amazing place for dinner... The owner is a friend from Boy Scouts, His food was incredible. The Peking duck alone was to die for. We had shrimp, lo mein, and multi fried rice and Chinese broccoli with onions and garlic and hot and sour soup. The whole thing was so delicious every bite. We were fighting over the buns for the duck. It was so incredibly tasty, and I really really loved it. Highly recommend it and can't wait to go back.

I've been eating at this place for a couple years now and they are consistent with the quality and the authenticity of the food. The staff was helpful finding dishes try. The inside is not the cleanest place though. The food is very flavorful and tender. I've ordered over ten different dishes from here and each have been great. I definitely recommend to get the Pork with preserve vegetables which is a pork belly dish that is extremely tender and has a rich braised soy sauce that goes well with rice. I also recommend getting the French Style Cubed Beef which is stir fried tender cubes of beef.

The food was just OK. The BBQ pork fried rice had barely any BBQ pork in it and it was very mushy. The crab rangoon had a decent flavor but it was chewy and not crispy. The szechwan chicken was nothing like I expected. It had a decent flavor but not your typical szechwan chicken. It was not at all spicy. The salt and pepper tofu was the best thing I had except that they used soft tofu. The flavor was correct but the texture was way too soft for fried tofu. Overall, this place is very disappointing for the prices they charge.

The first time I bought this food. The man at register used rude words with me and had a harsh tone of voice. The taste of the food was bad. Because it's like old and messy. This is the first and only time. I probably won't go back to buy food there again.

Old roast pork with mostly just Fat.

OLD meat. Went in at lunch today to buy half a pound of roast pork. The owner said he only sell by the pound so I said I'll take a pound. He proceeded to call a lady from the back to cut the pork and weighed it. Came out to be 2.5 lbs. I told him it was too much for just me. She cut off a little more this time it was 1.5 lbs. still too much for just one person. When I told him it was just me, she put the pork back and grabbed one from a plate on the side and a large piece of pork skin which came out to a little over a lbs. at this point I wanted to leave due to their attitude but didn't since they had already cut the pork. BIG mistake. When I got out to the car and checked the my box it was mostly fat and crispy skin. There was hardly any meat, just a few pieces and it was old. Now I know why both of them were laughing. Previously I had came here several time and in the past they had alway over weight meat. If I asked for 1 lbs they pushed 2.5-3 lbs. I will NEVER come back here again.

This is our go-to for great Chinese in Arlington! After moving to Arlington in 2020 we quickly found this gem while checking out what was in Ben Thanh Plaza. We've been here many, many times here but oddly have never tried the roast duck meal. One day we will! However we ALWAYS order their roast duck noodle soup, which is amazing! Not sure how a dish can be both comfort food and exciting, but it is. And I think I can say that about everything we've tried here. We've tried several dishes but keep going back to a few favorites, like the soup. From our latest meal there, we had the duck soup - of course, beef with snow pea leaves, salt and pepper soft shell crab, and mapo tofu - all excellent. Other dishes we've ordered more than once are the pork belly with preserved vegetables, snow pea leaves with garlic, combination fried rice, and Singapore and Cantonese rice noodles. Pricing is moderate, even fairly inexpensive for some things. Hubby and I usually order enough food for like 6-8 people and get out of there for less than $100. Don't judge! We like leftovers! We've always had good service from our very first visit. The owner is a man of few words and maybe can come off as a bit short (don't ask for any substitutions!), but we've never found him, or anyone else there, to give bad service or to be rude in any way. Quite the opposite, and now I guess we're semi-regulars so we're always treated warmly. FYI, the only think I dislike - and it has nothing to do with the restaurant - is the only restroom (that I know of) is in the back of the food court, quite a ways away from this restaurant. And it's ALWAYS dirty and disgusting with leaky toilets.

Food: Peking Duck Review: Lady was just trying to push me out the door. Ordered peking duck w/buns. Asked if buns were in there. She quickly sad yes before I could finish. Left out. No buns. RUDE!!! Bad customer service.

Lobster fried rice, boiled chicken, Peking duck, tempera shrimps, crab maw and fish soup
    Lillian L.

We ordered to go. Lobster fried rice was amazing. I loved it. It is on par with other restaurants like Ocean. Peking duck was very good and there wasn't much fat on it which is rare!!! We also got regular boiled chicken and barely any fat on it... perfect! Crab maw and fish soup was pretty good too. Tempura shrimps were big and everyone liked it. We pretty much ordered two servings of everything and total was like $250. It is not bad at all. Would definitely order again.

It includes: Smoked Doro Wat (Spicy Chicken Stew), Awaze Rib Tip Tibs, Awaze Brisket, Awaze Pork Ribs, your choice of 2 sides, Texas Toast, gluten-free teff injera, and rice pilaf! The hardest part is choosing the sides because they're all amazing, from classic BBQ sides like potato salad, fried okra, baked beans, corn, collard greens, and mac and cheese to Ethiopian sides like shiro wat (chickpea stew), misir wat (red lentil stew), tikil gomen (cabbage and carrots), and more. Even berbere-spiced mac and cheese! Berbere is an incredible blend of Ethiopian spices that is amazing on everything, savory or sweet. If it's just me eating with no one to share, I like to get the Big Ash loaded baked potato. Each dish had unique use of Ethiopian inspiration, especially the nachos I had. The platter is huge and there is no way one person can finish it. They are true competition ribs allowing you to nibble off the bone. Granddaughter loved the flavor and juicy quality of her brisket! I'm giving the restaurant 3 stars because we had to wait for our food for over an hour. The wait staff were a bit indifferent to our order and had to be reminded twice our order was not complete. The restaurant was not that busy prompting me to believe there is a disconnect between the front and back of the house. The restaurant is in a strip center in Arlington. It's a comfortable little restaurant and bar and the adult beverages looked delicious!!

We arrived early and found ourselves in a line that stretched well before opening, creating a sense that we were visiting a barbecue pilgrimage rather than a casual lunch spot. The atmosphere remained friendly and laid-back despite the crowds, with a team that seemed genuinely proud of what they were serving. The line moved steadily, and the anticipation built as we got closer to the counter. The barbecue was the main attraction, and the brisket consistently stood out as the signature item. We ordered a generous portion and found the meat smoky, tender, and flavorful enough that we barely touched the sauce. The beef rib was another highlight, with rich flavor and an impressive size that made it feel like a meal on its own. Beyond the traditional Texas staples, Goldee's also offers items that help it stand apart from other barbecue spots, including pork belly, house-made sausages, Carolina hash over rice, and rotating specialty meats. We tried a few of these and found each one delivered on quality, with the pork belly offering a rich, fatty contrast to the leaner brisket. The fresh bread and banana pudding were frequently mentioned as worthy additions rather than afterthoughts, and we made sure to save room for the pudding, which was creamy and balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. One of the most impressive aspects of Goldee's is the consistency across the entire menu. While many barbecue restaurants are known for one standout meat, we left talking about multiple dishes, from the brisket and ribs to the sausages and sides. The banana pudding had developed a following of its own, and we considered it a mandatory finish to the meal. The sides, including the coleslaw and potato salad, were well executed and provided a fresh contrast to the rich meats. Service remained efficient despite the volume of customers that passed through each day. The staff kept the line moving, answered questions enthusiastically, and helped create an experience that felt welcoming rather than rushed. Even after waiting several hours, we left feeling that the food justified the time investment. The team's pride in their work was evident, and they handled the steady stream of visitors without losing the friendly, approachable energy of a neighborhood spot. Goldee's Barbecue delivered the kind of destination-worthy barbecue experience that people travel across states to try. The combination of exceptional brisket, standout specialty items, strong sides, and passionate service has earned it a reputation as one of the premier barbecue spots in Texas. The wait was substantial, but the meal ended up being one of the highlights of our trip, a reminder that the best barbecue is often worth the effort it takes to get it.
