Went a bit late so some of the special donuts were sold out. I love old fashions!! Crispy outside n I only eat around the outsides . Their plain old fashions were a bit dry. Vanilla old fashion was my fave!! The salted caramel one was ok but had no taste of salt n very little taste of caramel. Chocolate one was my least fave. My 5 year old who loves chocolate preferred the vanilla over the chocolate one. Fruity pebbles ...basically on top of a glaze so as the glaze cracks off so did the pebbles. Strawberry glazed was good but nothing special. Chocolate cake donut was super dry. Will go back again to try the special donuts but not if there's a line. Been wanting to try this place for so long and finally got the chance to try it. I got s'more donut and also a Nutella. I was excited to try the Nutella but was surprised that I loved the s'mores one. Don't get me wrong the Nutella donut was great. But that s'mores donut was amazing. Their donuts make me go nuts and I am never against grabbing a hay-doz o' to-go's for the office yo-yo's. The old-fashioned are my favorite and they usually have 7 or-so to choose from. Lot's of cool and interesting flavors- like lavender lemon... wtf?!?... so good!! LAVENDER... good. Weird. The cake doo-dads are too pretty to eat... The donuts are tasty good! We got: Two sprinkle white glazed donuts- the cake base donut was good and rich but not overwhelming dense. I did have an issue of the sprinkles completely falling off but I understand it's a donut completely covered with sprinkles. They didn't skimp on the sprinkles either! Two strawberry glazed donut- the donut itself is yeast which happens to be my favorite type of donut. The employee suggested to get two. We are so happy about it. Lemon curd puff- I'm not a fan of lemon curd but my girlfriend is IN LOVE WITH ONE! Raspberry jam- really good. So I'm going to give this review based on the fact that I didn't have the donuts fresh. A wonderful tech of ours brought in donuts from this place and we got to sample a variety of flavors. Again, I only got to the donuts several hours after they had been bought. That being said they were incredibly soft and scrumptious! I had a salted caramel old fashioned donut as well as a maple bacon donut (don't judge me!!! I love donuts!). Both were great although I imagine the bacon one would be to die for when it's fresh. Great little place and anytime I take donuts to the office or to a family function, I make this my first stop. They are obviously more expensive than your typical donut stop but it is such a novelty and great selection. They have tons of odd ones like fruity pebbles or smores and they are all great! The only bad thing about this place is they close when they sell out and it has been as early as 0930 which can be tough sometimes. But you can call ahead and place your order so they are put to the side for you. It's a nice choice if you want to make sure you get your batch. Great place and great nitro coffee too! I thought the cinnamon sugar one left a bit of a greasy film inside my mouth, but not the maple bacon. The old fashioned one was also good. Maybe they had a problem with the flat-top that day because the burger was gray no browning at all and the "caramelized" bananas in the pancake had no color or gooey crunch that comes with caramelized fruit. Also I gotta say the patties on the burger were really thin (again and grey). I had the biscuits and gray which was average. Nobody even asked how the food was even after they took away more than half an uneaten burger. The logo actually says burgers so its not a case getting a burger at a breakfast place (I know better). Joe is in a tiny, tiny store with no parking, no place to sit (inside or out), they don't take reservations, have wifi, or a bar. There is room for about 9 people to stand patiently in line, hoping the dude in front of you does not get the donut you wanted. Oh yeah, once they are out of donuts... they are OUT of donuts. Hence, the line outside 15 minutes before they open. Even on a morning with the temp hovering around 16 degrees and a nice breeze. I was super excited to try this place being a donut enthusiast. I have tried donuts on the west coast and on the east coast. A variety of donuts with different options and very unique flavors. I finally got the opportunity to try this place on a Saturday morning and after driving right past it (very small shop) I found parking and walked in. First impression... where are all your donuts? They had the usual boring flavors every donut place has and then a few unique options such as the oreo and smores. Okay, maybe they are just REALLY good donuts, so i order half a dozen and try most of what they have to offer. After a few bites of eating stale tasting donuts I was extremely let down. This place was suppose to be the best, instead the donuts fell apart when i ate them...something you might expect from a grocery store donut, not a specialty shop. On top of all this, the price for these crumbly old donuts? Over 10 bucks.... wowzer. Guess I will continue to look for the best donuts in the area, because this isn't it. The only problem is that I cannot afford to regularly go to them. :( The donuts are remarkably fresh and better tasting than anything you would find at Dunkin Donuts. Between my husband and I we split a red velvet, smores, sprinkles, and maple bacon. All were excellent but a bit messy. I also had a giant mocha which was one of the best I ever had. My biggest complaint (other than the price being a bit high) is the cramped space. There was nowhere to eat when it was cold outside other than some picnic benches. She knew who I was when I had only been there my second time (then again, I'm usually there with my 6'7" Sasquatch of a hubby so I guess that's how people know me. Ha ha). Yum! We got a dozen donuts so that we could sample as many as possible. The cake donuts and old fashioned varieties were excellent! The lemon meringue and the s'mores weren't our favorites (too strong of lemon flavor and nothing special). I also got a coffee that I think was called Joes Campfire. It took me awhile to get use to.
