Instead of immediately saying she would replace the tenders, she asked if it needed to be replaced. Logic dictates, especially if you work in the food industry and you, as the server dropped it on the counter replace the items immediately, no questions asked. Obviously, I want the items replaced. First & foremost, my child is hungry. Secondly, I paid for the food & expect my order to be fulfilled in its entitreity without racial bias! I confronted the server about her lack of common sense and unacceptable behavior. To which she said, "But you won't let me talk" or "You won't even listen to my side of the story". I mean cmon, you work in the food industry - take accountability! Why am I educating you on healthy food standards and food safety? I told the employee to sit down & her response was "You're not my mother". Real professional! Please note, as a mother I don't raise idiots. Her own mother would likely be disappointed in the way she took zero accountability for her lack of actions and decisions. I waved her away. It's quite obvious that she expected my child to eat tenders that were contaminated from when dropping it on the counter & my group, persons of color to excuse her behavior. We left the establishment, fully aware that the treatment we endured was racially driven. All the other customers who ordered after us were not people of color & somehow got their food before us! Outside, a person of color approached my group. She noted that she has also been mistreated due to the color of her skin & was treated as less than in the same location. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE! Employees are racist, lack human decency and common sense! Additionally, employees are improperly trained/educated on food safety.

The main area includes the ordering counter along with display cases and a Christmas tree, as it was right before the holiday. The cashier was especially nice to my kids and told us about a play area located in one of the side rooms, which we immediately headed toward. That room could seat around twenty four people and had wood floors along with black metal and dark wood chairs. The real win for us, though, was the kids play area. It was set up like a miniature version of the coffee shop, complete with play food and desserts, which kept our kids happily occupied while we enjoyed our drinks. For my coffee this morning, I went with the Gingerbread House Latte, and my wife chose the same. The coffee was very good. You got a solid coffee flavor up front, followed by a clear gingerbread note, and then it finished with a pleasant sweetness that lingered for a bit without becoming overpowering. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our coffees, and while I did not eat anything myself, my wife enjoyed her berry Nutella croissant and my daughter really liked her parfait.

After looking over their winter specials, I tried to order something with peppermint for my wife. Unfortunately, they were out of peppermint syrup, which was also what I would have ordered for myself. I ended up getting my wife an iced mocha while I went with a hot coconut latte. My coffee ended up being decent. The coconut syrup was easy to taste, but it did not overpower the coffee itself. My wife's drink looked good with whipped cream and crushed peppermint on top, as they still had that available, but she was unable to drink it due to a stomach bug. The bottom line for me is that I might head back here again in the future. While I do not know that I would go out of my way just for coffee, it seemed like a nice place for a sit down meal.
