The whole process--from clearing out the old lawn to fixing and adding new sprinklers and spreading the seed and topper--was done professionally and with great care. Art started of as a great company and guy to work with. Really unfortunate, because I would have been a return customer if he had handled this correctly. Have the sod was not growing, and the other half was growing quickly which looked terrible. Also, the was no water coverage in the center of the lawn which caused a area where the grass started dying unless I manually watered it with the hose. When I brought this up he said he'll come fix whatever areas need to be addressed. However, like I mentioned above, he just stopped responding and answering his phone.

His price was very steep from the start and I was not completely sold. He mentioned his crew was nearby and could come by and scope out the tree I asked to remove due power lines running thru it. His whole crew and multiple trucks showed up as if they were going to start the job. I told the crew I'd call Tony once I feel ready to proceed. Tony calls aggressively stating I am wasting his and his crew's time while dropping the price to get me to agree to proceed right then in that moment. The final price was competitive but he was not willing to give me a day to decide due to being "too busy". He ends up dropping the price by half but at that point his unprofessionalism was enough to no longer proceed. The crew ended up doubling and took up the whole cul-de-sac with their trucks for hours afterwards and claimed they were on their lunch break. My wife works from home, her office window faces the street and she did not feel comfortable with Tony's guys sitting outside for hours sitting around the grass just staring into our property. Meanwhile Tony was calling and texting wasting MY time. Don't get ripped off, ALWAYS get multiple bids and don't fall for cheap salesman tactics.

My yard was overgrown and a mess. The sod from 2000 was done and full of weeds. The planting areas were in terrible shape. Fern and I talked and together we put together an idea of a combination of sod and DG. I mentioned to him that I always ask for more than discussed and to make sure he added the additional expense. They showed up on time every day at 6:30am and worked nonstop until dusk. They removed two big truck loads of dirt, old sod, weeds, roots and old plants by loading the truck using wheelbarrows. They put in new drip irrigation, new sprinkler lines and valves and repaired my outdoor electrical outlets. They built three paver borders and used cement to make a paver border fence I built by stacking blocks permanent. He cleaned out a raised planter not in the quote, fixed the drip lines and mulched and used my old fountain to build a bird feeder space in the planter. The quote was very fair and the addition price for the added work was very fair also. I will definitely be using him again for my next project. He also installed new ceramic tiles with my address on the front of the house and cleaned out part of my gutters and fixed the leaks to keep them from dripping on the DG. Use Fern for your landscaping needs and I'm sure you will be very satisfied!
