What a great addition to Hobbs restaurant options. We had an amazing dinner with excellent service by Kelvin. Such a nice, attentive and respectful young man. The bread rolls were outstanding with homemade garlic herb dipping oil. Nice salad. I tried the house Italian which was a tomato based style with lots of flavor. They tried the stuffed mushrooms that had a luscious cream sauce. My dad liked his spaghetti and Ann said the shrimp scampi was on point. I snitched a bite of the spaghetti and the sauce had an authentic Italian flavor. I tried the Carbonara Spaghetti with chicken added. Although I really enjoyed it and the cream sauce was delicious, it was not like a typical carbonara. Very different with olives and interesting type of ham slices. Very tasty, but not what I would have called carbonara. Took a couple of slices of German Chocolate cake to go. Very moist and tasty. Overall, we will come back and look forward to trying more entrees. read more

Joe's Italian Restaurant is located across from the Hobbs High School on Sanger Street. My daughters and I enjoyed a nice dinner before attending a middle school musical on February 27, 2026. Parking in the unmarked lots on either side of the building was available. I hope they improve this someday with an even ground and painted lines. With as packed as it was, I was surprised our wait was only about 15 minutes. The host was friendly and attentive, asking if we liked our seat. A basket of soft table bread reminiscent of rolls with olive oil was served sooner after we received our drinks (2 sweet iced teas, $5.98 and a Mug root beer, $2.99). They do not serve wine or other alcoholic beverages. My youngest and I had dinner salads served in bowls. The salad, while simple, was freshly served with mostly green lettuce, a grape tomato, and single ring of red onion. I appreciated their serving mine plain and bringing olive oil for me as dressing. I dashed a bit of grated Parmesan cheese and a touch of salt on top of the drizzled oil. They also brought red wine vinegar. My oldest enjoy a small supreme pizza ($16.99). For a small, it was considerable size. She brought most of it home. My youngest chose manicotti ($13.99). She must have enjoyed it because she did not share. I had really high hopes for my piccata entree, but my (gluten free) penne pasta per request was way overcooked. I prefer my pasta al dente, but much of it was mushy. But the sauce was really good. I had this dish with shrimp ($20.98). I gave two of my shrimp to my youngest and I had three. Service by Kelvin was great! Just a minor hiccup in forgetting our takeout boxes. He remembered our Italian cream cake ($7.99) which was divine and made in-house. It's markedly loud inside. This restaurant took the place of longtime meat market resident, Kendall's - in which case I saw an old sign in the corner that said "Welcome to Kendall's" on it. There are a few things they could do to take the ambiance and overall Italian vibe to the next level. Overall, I do recommend this place. I look forward to trying more dishes. Wow!!! Every time I come here I tell myself that I'm going to try something different but the last few times I end up ordering the Murphy on Angel hair pasta with chicken. The only way I can honestly describe this plate literally is WOW!!! I have tried some of the other plates and they are delicious as well but so far the Murphy is my favorite!! 10/10!!! I'll post a before pic next time!! FYI: the garlic knots are excellent for mopping up the sauce you'll thank me later!! Oh yeah and either arrive really hungry or expect to take some home with you as their servings are huge!! read more

Most delicious dinning experience in Hobbs for my opinion! Italian restaurants keep coming & going but this one just claimed its spot in Hobbs. Me & my lady got the bruschetta, shrimp tortellini & some ziti pasta everything was so delightful definitely our date night spot from now on!! Service was prompt and friendly, but the meal was a big disappointment. The salad was a joke, simply chopped iceberg lettuce, a cherry tomato and that was about it. Got the marsala, and things got worse. A ton of pasta with two pieces of mystery meat (supposedly chicken) and a several tough overcooked shrimp. The sauce had an overbearing pepper/salt hit that reminded me of overuse of MSG. Instead of using a flavorful mushroom like crimini/baby bella or just about any other mushroom, the sauce was loaded with cheap tasteless buttons. A big disappointment for the price. I was hoping Hobbs finally had a good Italian restaurant, but this isn't it. read more

I recently placed a pickup order and unfortunately left disappointed with the overall experience. Upon arriving to collect my order, several servers walked past me without acknowledgment. While I understand that staff may be busy, a brief greeting or confirmation that someone would assist me would have made a significant difference in feeling welcomed and valued as a customer. We ordered the Chicken Marsala, and the sauce was quite unlike any Marsala we've had before -- and not in a positive way. The flavor profile was difficult to identify, but the closest comparison we could make was that it tasted similar to ramen noodles. It did not reflect the traditional richness and depth typically associated with this dish. Additionally, the menu states that all entrées come with a house salad, without distinguishing between dine-in and carryout orders. However, our pickup order did not include the salad, and I was required to purchase it separately. Clearer menu language or consistency in what is included would help manage customer expectations and prevent confusion. While none of these issues alone would necessarily prevent me from returning, collectively they diminished the experience. Attention to these details -- hospitality upon arrival, consistency in menu descriptions, and quality of signature dishes -- greatly impacts customer satisfaction. As it stands, the likelihood of my return is unfortunately quite slim. read more

Great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We had a fine dining experience with my family, a party of about 15 including adults and children, and everything was handled beautifully. One of the kids accidentally dropped their drink, and the staff didn't bat an eye--they cleaned it up quickly and kindly. Our drinks were always refilled, and the waitstaff stayed attentive and engaging throughout the entire meal. Please keep up the outstanding hospitality--it truly made our family gathering feel special. We really appreciated the care and professionalism, and we look forward to dining here again. read more

The BEST cooked salmon in Town! It was super busy at lunch, every table filled and we still got our meals in a timely decent manner AND our server was the sweetest checking in with us if we needed anything.
