I needed multiple plumbing issues addressed in a Sheepshead Bay co-op: * replacement kitchen faucet installation * correction/replacement of under-sink piping (brass trap & waste bends) in bathroom and kitchen * shower trim/valve compatibility work Unlike several other plumbers I contacted, Joe was fully prepared to handle co-op requirements, including providing a COI (Certificate of Insurance) with the necessary coverage levels. If you live in a NYC co-op, you already know how huge that is! A few things I especially appreciated: * They stayed within their original estimated range (~$1900-2400), even though the project required a second visit after we discovered my older Kohler valve needed a retrofit adapter that no longer ships with current trim kits. * Communication was responsive and straightforward. * They clearly knew their way around older NYC plumbing situations and co-op logistics. * They accommodated the work during boiler/heating season (October), when many plumbers were either fully booked or unwilling to deal with co-op paperwork at all. One useful lesson for other co-op owners: if possible, bundle multiple plumbing issues into one project. The insurance/admin overhead for co-op work is real, and combining repairs makes the job much more practical for everyone involved. The final result was clean, professional work, updated piping, and fixtures that finally feel stable and correctly installed after years of patchwork fixes and contractor weirdness. I called first thing this morning because the valve on my main waterline was dripping in the basement I was panicking. I had a pale under it and I could not use water They came first thing in the morning two guys very sweet and all they had to do was tighten the knot on the valve. I did not have to replace it. They were very honest they could've told me I needed a new valve. They could've charged me a lot of money and they didn't. I can't tell you how kind and helpful the girl who answers the telephone was and I sent some pictures of the problem and it was taken care of. My Weil Mclain boiler stopped working after about 30 years of service. I came home one evening early January and noticed a burning smell-- apparently the boiler was heating without any water. Called Joe and he arrived early the next morning to assess a leak coming from a crack in the boiler. Determined boiler needed to be replaced. Anna picked up my phone call and answered all of my questions, was very patient with everything I wanted to know about their services, and allowed me to chat with Joe to confirm what work I needed to get done before his workers came over. They allow appointments and are on time when they say they will be there. My request was a very small job (snake the main line and checking my boilers/furnace for maintenance). This job could've been done by one person but Joe the Plumber sent 4 guys to do this job and it took less than 30 min. Bath tub faucet was leaking. He told me over the phone prior to coming out to inspect it, that it was the cartridge. I also needed a new faucet for my kitchen sink. The next day, they came out to replace the cartridge. I noticed it was still leaking but he said that's residual water. Upon installing a new faucet, he said I needed to change the drain. They gave me the cheaper faucet but charged me the same price. The service was horrendous as they had to come back the next day because the drain was leaking. The tub was still leaking and they insisted it was residual water. They charged me $950 for 45 minutes of work. And 15 minutes of rework. DO NOT USE. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY !!! read more

He was prompt, professional, had a good team and suggested what I should do to rule out where the leak may be coming from. He was kind and didn't even charge me. Joe and his team arrived on time and quickly got to tackling my issues with both my boiler and hot water heater. The friendly and professional crew did neat and solid work. Joe is a stand-up guy. I truly appreciate him for what he did. I had an issue with a backed up sewer line. He sat on the phone listening to my issue and gave advice. He saved me from way overpaying with another company, and had his guys come the following day and charged me what he said should be the going rate for the service.
