My cars ac quit blowing cold and felt more like a heater. Had to take my 88 year old Mother to the doctor the next morning. I called one place with great reviews and they were booked out for weeks ahead. The called Joe's for me and let me know Joe's could fit me in. What a nice experience. Family business, very accommodating and knowledgeable. They had the right tools, diagnosed the problem, had a new ac clutch relay delivered, charged the system with the correct amount of 134a refrigerant, made sure everything was blowing cold and working like it should. Totaled the invoice up and was pleasantly surprised and knew I was dealing with an honest mechanic and gladly paid my bill. GREAT experience and a family run business. So I contacted Joe's Auto and based on all of the positive reviews I chose to bring my truck here I had spoken with his daughter when I asked her can she work on my truck it's an older Ford trucks she told me yes they work on older Ford trucks She was also asked if they had the computer system to do a full Diagnostic test on my truck again I was told yes She checked with her dad and it was the understanding between them and myself that the truck wouldn't be worked on right away but that I could definitely bring the truck in and they would work on it and do repairs and do whatever they need it as they could I was okay with that I wasn't in a hurry to get my truck back New Year's Eve day I receive a phone call from the daughter telling me that one of the fuel injectors was bad I said go ahead and just replace it then She gave me the price I said just go ahead and replace it and then we'll deal with other stuff after so then she says we'll speaking of the other stuff My dad's thinking that we should just replace the camshaft sensors now I had already spoken with Joe regarding these camshaft sensors I told him I could get them for $35 He says well I can't even touch that that he had to upcharge me so that he can make a profit I said well I'm not going to pay you $50 more per sensor when I can get them for this price so I said okay well I'll order them and then you can put them in we agreed, Joe was back and forth whether or not the camshaft sensors needed to be replaced because they were new they were brand new so I never ordered them now come This day when I told him I needed to order them he says well how long before they come in I said well I'm going to assume Friday the latest Monday due to the fact that it's New Year's Eve to which he replies to me I'm not a storage unit now I never asked him to store my truck I said to him it's unfortunate that you said that to me because you had my truck already for 1 month, To which he replied we haven't had your truck for one month and I said okay 3 weeks I was getting ready to say which was the agreement that I had agreed to with your daughter and yourself because you guys were working on it as you could and I was okay with that he wouldn't let me speak basically told me that he was going to put my truck back together again and I could come and get my truck... No I don't know who pissed in his Cheerios that morning but it got taken out on me...They then on my work order write that I refused further service I never refused service He refused to work on my truck any further... This is all very unfortunate because I had nothing but positive experience up until this point, and being a mechanic brat myself I used to work in my dad's shop with him so I thought it was really cool that there was another father and daughter business doing mechanic work which was another reason why I chose them so basically it's okay for you to have my truck for 3 weeks while working on it but when I want to order a part that we had already discussed I would order and it's going to take a couple of more days for the part to come in then you're not going to work on my truck anymore because you're not a storage unit and i call you out on The fact that you've already had my truck 3 weeks so you had no problem storing it for those 3 weeks while you worked on it when you could mind you, but now because I need to order a part for it All of a sudden you're a storage unit?.. And mind you never even did the full diagnostic testing that you charged me $220 for and then you tell me that you had to bring my truck over to Precision Auto because you didn't have the equipment to do the testing that I asked your daughter if you had the equipment for... Now I know this review might not mean anything but I just needed to vent because of the lie that you wrote on my work order and the fact that you didn't finish the job that you charged me for... read more

Joe's an excellent mechanic. Makes an accurate diagnosis and then fixes the problem the first time. My go to for our truck and car repairs.

I've been to Joe's twice with different vehicles. In both instances I was pleasently surprised. The first vehicle I was repairing the vehicle. It was taken apart, but my back wasn't being cooperative. I called and they completed the work. The second was a radiator leak repair. Joe's to the rescue again. I have a Toyota that is paid off and I enjoy driving. It needed some TLC and Anthony over at Joe's was able to troubleshoot and figure out an issue with my AC as well as suspension issue. Problem solved and I'm back on the road for another 100k Miles. Great friendly service! My cousin recommended this place as he is friends with the co-owner. A rock punctured my AC Condenser and the Nissan dealership was going to charge almost 1k to replace. I stopped by for a price quote and Anthony was straight forward and came below the dealership and two other auto shops. Two weeks later, my AC works great and the best part, I saved $$$. So the first thing I have done was a change of shocks on my Dodge Dakota, then work on my daughter's Lincoln, then my niece's Accra then my father's Chrysler 300 then my friends Hyundai 350 and again had him work on my Dakota he changed all ball joints and tie rod ends he did the work fast the price is always fair and it seems if you have a problem he stands behind his work. The first power steering pump he put in my daughter's Lincoln had a defect and he fixed it right away no questions asked. Now I hope it goes as good on my Diesel F250 that it has on all the others. Well, I believe it's called Anthony's now, because he's the mechanic that is building this great reputation. I have a V6 Tacoma that I love, but it's been leaking coolant for a year. I took it to Jack's next door, because he's the most honest mechanic I know. He referred me to his son next door, because it wasn't the water pump that I had suspected, but the intake manifold gasket. He concluded this at no charge for diagnostics. Anthony took excellent care of me and even discovered my timing belt was severely worn and ready to break. I couldn't have been in better hands. His charges were better than reasonable. I can drive on confidently now, secure in the knowledge that I won't end up on the roadside somewhere, sometime. Both father and son are a real Blessing. read more

Since moving to Manteca over 15 years ago, I knew I needed to find a reputable repair shop locally. I found everything I needed at Joe's, they are Fair, Honest, Professional, and best of all they know their S$%^, these guys are the best, they don't play games, they just get the job done for the fairest price in the area. There is some work they will not tackle on certain foreign makes, but if they can figure the issue out, they'll do an excellent job to get you back on the road ASAP.
