Leo came by and cleaned our table off. Unfortunately I had removed my lower partial denture to eat and I wrapped it up in a napkin. I wasn't paying attention and Leo grabbed our baskets and empty drinks for us. About 30 minutes later my gal says where is your denture? Oh NO!!!!! IT GOT THROWN AWAY!!! So I found Leo and told him to see if he remembered which garbage can it may have been tossed in. We went to the first one he apologized but it wasn't his fault. I dug in and couldn't find it in the first can and it was a mess. Nasty! But no denture. He says must be the can behind the bar. I expected him to bring it out for me to dig through. Nope Leo dives in digging through the trash and about half way in the nasty mess he suddenly pops up with my denture in hand!!!!! Hands it to me. Amazed he didn't hesitate to help find it. And apologized for taking it. It's was his fault and I appreciate his help BIG TIME! Saved me about $1700. Couldn't believe we found it. Can't say thanks enough for the effort. Really appreciate him digging through the trash to help. Thanks bud! If I could give 10 stars I would leave 100!!!! See you again soon!

The people were friendly, the crowd welcoming. I was a regular patron who enjoyed the atmosphere 2-3 nights a week. I came for the Karaoke. SIL had 2 hosts until recently. I like them both but a week or so ago one was "let go". This was done without notice, without considering what effect this might have on its clientele. OK, people lose positions all the time, right? Yeah, but the way they did it, their lack of loyalty, both to the KJ and to us their patrons who were not allowed one last night to say goodbye, that dismissal showed us all that WE were disregarded. I, and many of the regulars will not be back.

The wings are the obvious move here. Bella's has built a reputation around them for a reason. They're big, messy, loaded with flavor, and absolutely not something you order when you're trying to look civilized. If you leave with completely clean hands, I'm not sure you actually ate wings. The rest of the food holds its own too, but coming to Bella's and not at least considering the wings feels slightly disrespectful. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a downtown sports pub. TVs everywhere, games on, people talking over each other, drinks moving around, and enough noise to make the place feel alive without completely losing the ability to have a conversation. On a big game day, it's even better. Service has always been friendly and laid-back in my experience, even when they're slammed. There's nothing overly polished about Bella's, and honestly, I wouldn't want there to be. That's part of the charm. I don't go out in downtown Chico nearly as much as I used to, but Bella's is still one of those places I'm always happy to end up at. Good wings, cold drinks, sports on every screen, and that familiar downtown Chico energy. Some places don't need to reinvent themselves. They just need to keep doing what made people like them in the first place. Bella's is one of those places.
