This may have become my new favorite breakfast joint in one visit or tied for first! Virginia Kitchen in Herndon and Bob & Edith's in Arlington are equally amazing. My best half and I were up in the area and looked for reviews on Yelp that were close to the auto shop we were at. Joe's was rated highly and they were just a mile and change away. Yelp reviewers rarely disappoint. The food was amazing, came out hot, and the servings were large. The prices were still reasonable compared to everywhere else. The service was absolutely amazing. It was clear that there were a lot of regulars as some of the staff greeted them by name. With that many people returning you know this is a great little place. It was a little cold near the door but I wanted a booth and that was all that was available. It was also the last seats available, it was that busy. The other booths and tables were full, but they rotate pretty quickly so there isn't a long wait. The noise level was manageable to hold a quiet conversation about our minions and still be able to hear each other but not be heard by others. read more

Decided to grab breakfast after dropping off my car in sterling area. Found a great hidden gem. The Nora's breakfast special satisfied my need for sweet and salty today. Bacon was and the eggs over easy cooked just right. The French toast was perfect. My son had the chorizo with eggs. It was delicious. I believe the chorizo was homemade. The service was super friendly. Love the "we don't have WiFi ..talk to each other" sign. That's exactly what my son and I did. The moment my wife and I walked in the door, we felt community! Rami met us at the door and his comforting welcome told us we were at the right place. The diverse customers already seated around also showed the friendly neighborliness that is an obvious tone that one can expect here. Service was welcoming and delightful, loved the atmosphere, wait wasn't long and even with the wait, the pleasant and conversational hospitality while you wait made waiting a breeze! Hungry for breakfast, wanted to try something new. Came down to Joe's a few days ago. This spot is right off the main road. Parking is ample and right at front. I believe I had Nora's Combo and that came with Pancakes, soft scrambled Eggs, Bacon for meat, and Grits on the side. Boy o boy, where do I start. Pancakes stuck to plate, they were kinda hard and tasted like rubber; maple syrup packets were egregious. The eggs were tasteless and not "soft" scrambled, and the bacon was just bland. Oh, and the grits were too cheesy and/or greasy and I only ate a few spoons, left the rest. For a drink I had the Cranberry Juice. It was decent. I rate up one star for the drink and attentive service which alone was the saving grace. Bottom line, breakfast was close to mediocre and felt like I could have cooked up better (and I'm a novice cook). I feel they could have been overworked in the kitchen but at least the food came out really fast. Basically it is average fare and certainly filled my tummy; maybe I'll be back again to try something new, but wouldn't make this a "go to" spot. read more

We went for breakfast- before a flight out of Dulles, I had breakfast burrito, my hubby had the eggs benedict. Excellent and reasonable, and fast. This is a local eatery, all cooking done by women, service was quick, every table taken on a Sunday morning. Joe was walking around chatting with every table. Ambiance is a neighborhood favorite place for reasonable breakfast especially with kids. Just go!!! read more

A cafe, nothing special. During my trip to Ashburn, this was the most disappointing place to try. None of the food stood out and we actually left most of our food to be thrown out by the staff! Service was decent and I assume that if we complained that they would have remade our food, but we didn't have time. The place wasn't too busy, so that made getting a table fairly easy. It also wasn't too noisy. Don't plan to come back. There are too many other great diners waiting to be tried! read more

If you're looking for that old fashioned mom and pop family style dinning this is it. I didn't even know this place was right there all along. Joe the owner is typically there and he's super nice, very down to earth kinda guy! The food is very cost effective and great portions which adds to the charm. Make a reservation, they get packed! Hands down, this is the best diner (and comfort) food-type place we have found in the area. They are open for breakfast and lunch only. (Until 3 pm) Great prices, great wait and cook staff, great (tasty, well made, consistent, generous portions) food. The place is constantly busy and often has a wait line, and we understand why. But the line moves fast and they are always attentive to who comes thru their door and who is next to be seated. This place is a well-oiled machine. I don't really want to gush about this place because I'd like to keep it to myself and the already-established regulars. But they are good, and they deserve to be known for all their work. read more

I tried the Coffee Chorizo Con Huevos, and Nora's Combo-- Pancakes, Eggs, Sausages, and Hash Browns. The coffee was good and I love that the staff frequently came around to offer free refills. Everything tasted great and was reasonably priced. I really liked my order of the Chorizo Con Huevos. Well made scrambled eggs with savory and spicy chorizo mixed in. I would get it again. Had a really excellent experience here traveling with my family. The vibe was warm and pleasant. There were lots of regulars enjoying their breakfast and we were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated after a minimal wait despite the place being hopping. Kids had nicely executed pancake plates - I would recommend the egg and chorizo scramble and the chipped beef gravy. Everything was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Everything that we tried on their menu was cooked to perfection--Greek omelet, rib eye. over easy eggs, chili (1.99 for a cup!), home fries (*chef's kiss*), and even the toasted bread of your choice. Service is friendly and attentive. The vibe/atmosphere is wonderful. It reminds of those greasy spoons you see detectives ducking into while trying to solve their latest crime hehe. I'm very impressed with the overall experience dining in here, though we might copy one person doing carryout and try scrapple to-go sometime. A short drive from Washington Dulles airport is Joe's Cafe. My husband and I were tired and hungry after an overnight from Phoenix and were glad we found Joe's. We arrived around 9:30 am and the place was packed. We were seated very shortly after arriving, and our waitress was by right away for our drink orders. I ordered an orange juice and water. Upon reviewing the menu, I decided on just the basic: eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, and toast. Our food was out in a reasonable amount of time and was very good! All the servers are very pleasant and attentive, and you can flag down anyone passing if you need something.
