To anyone even considering using this place , John retired and these are new owners..... I referred 2 customers to this outfit and they screwed them both up....1st customer , an easy sheet laminate install for a skilled installer....well , debris under flooring , an inch and a half of white caulking around entire house , including her oak cabinets...unfinished closets and peeling flooring...2nd customer...measured short for carpets , then brought the wrong damn carpet to the home !!!!... I canceled the carpet and they only partially refunded my customer...however , we called BOBS cash carpet and tile and they came to the rescue that day , had same carpet IN STOCK ,and installed the very next day for almost 400.00 less and with much better padding !!!...I put photos on the Facebook review of the terrible laminate job.... read more

I visited this business and was serious about having laminate installed in my home. Anita is awesome in the store and she knows the business. Very accommodating, she sent me home with some samples so that I could "see" how the colors would look at various times of the day. I found a style and color I liked, so she scheduled Bill (I assume he is the new owner; this business was recently sold) to come out and measure. He called me on the appointed morning. Since my home is in a rural area, I tried to give him special directions, but he cut me off in mid-sentence. Then he proceeded to get lost finding my house. Geez, I wonder why... He measured my room without incident. Apparently assuming that I was a person of limited taste, Bill tried to sell me a much inferior floor for only $1400 on the ruse that "it doesn't cost much, which would be a benefit to you. " He had no right to assume what I could afford. When I went back in to the store to possibly complete my order, Anita told me that the floor would not have a full warranty because I live in a modular home and there is a seam in the middle of the house. Never mind the fact that the house has sat stable for twelve years. I decided that if I was going to spend upward of $3000 dollars on a floor that I deserved a whole warranty, not just a partial one. I have never heard of someone saying they will warrant only part of an area of the floor they install! So, I found another provider. I do not appreciate the fact that Bill would not tell me straight out that there would be no warranty in the area of the seam of my home, but left it to Anita to tell me. I don't trust this guy, and if he is that evasive with every customer, he likely will not be in business very long. Two stars because of Anita, but certainly no more. Buyer, beware. read more

At first I was a little skeptical after seeing other reviews on yelp. But after the job was done I can't say enough good things about Joe's carpet. Glenn and his crew were very clean during demo day and very friendly throughout the whole process. We went with luxury vinyl plank's and it turned out awesome! During the week that Glen and his crew were in the house, Joe's kept in contact with me throughout the whole process to make sure everything was going great. Their customer service was great and their workmanship was even better! read more

We ordered carpeting and set a date for installation. Installers come, lay down the carpet tacks and leave before noon. We call Jaqueline several times at the store and she tells us one excuse after another, none making sense and finally ends with installer having personal issues. She's blaming the installer. Installation scheduled for four days later @ 9am. No carpet company at 9:30 so I call and a man named Bill is actually furious because I called to ask where the installers were. Instead of an apology, I'm told to keep my mouth shut and to just sit there while the installers do their job or else they may walk out on me and never complete the job. He went on to tell me that the installer is a hot head and he will quit, so stop calling because he's cutting the carpeting as we speak. 10:15 installers arrive and I'm thinking crazies are coming to our house. Turns out, the installer and his dad are hard working & pleasant. So instead of apologies, or the truth of what actually happened, like maybe the carpeting wasn't ready or whatever, these people put the blame on their installers. We talked with the installers and they only recently started working for Joe's. And they were told that we were crazy, so we told them, we were told they were the crazies. There are 3 other carpet companies nearby. I would never recommend Joe's carpeting. Lucky for us, the installers gave us a separate warranty for installation because Jaqueline said they may not have the same installers under their warranty. I wonder why. read more

It took3 weeks to get the job fixed right The first installers were idiots,did everything wrong.Three times they said the installer would be here but they didn't come(three of my days waisted).They are very good at apologizing (had so much practice).Finally they sent Allen out he knew what he was doing.Too bad they send him out first.If you have Joe's Carpet make sure you get Allen.I gave Joe's 1 star but they deserve less.I give Allen 5 stars.To be fair my floor has been done to my satisfaction but a 5 hr job turned into a 3 week ordeal! read more

I bought brand new carpet in the fall of 2016. They measured the carpet incorrectly. Then they had to re-order the carpet and we had to wait even longer. Every year since I had to call them and have them come back out to stretch the carpet because it was buckling/rippling. This last time that I called them they told me they would come out and stretch it again but I would have to pay a minimum of $125.00 because my warranty has expired. I would understand this charge if it was the first time that I called them for the same problem. I spoke with Jacqueline the owner who was extremely rude to me and hung up on me. Very bad business! I now understand why people buy carpet at Home Depot and Lowe's....... It's because they stand behind what they sell. read more

The owner came to my house to work out an estimate a few years ago. While sitting at the table, he glanced around and said, "your mother did a nice job matching the paint with the carpet." I said, " oh wow, YOU did the carpeting? " after he left i checked my mother's records and it was NOT Joe's Carpet that she hired. I might add that the two men who put down the laminate throughout my house did an absolutely rotten job. I got terribly ripped off. read more

so far, the carpet i had installed looks good. HOWEVER... "Luxury vinyl planks" are pretty, but installation BAD! #1: I paid to have the toilet taken up & then put down (so they could run the planks below). When they put the toilet back it was so uneven that it rocked up & down and left to right! Installer said the trim caulk would harden & fix it! REALLY?? I had to pay another person to take up the toilet & reinstall it correctly. #2; big gaps where planks should meet. Also, a large gap where one plank actually sits higher than the other. Also, several places where the tiles are not fully glued down, especially around the base boards. I think the caulk is the only thing holding them in place. I would NOT hire this company to install anything. If you can buy the planks elsewhere, you should do that! read more

I had a new carpet installed from them within 2 years (under warranty) and had to call them back twice to re-stretch the carpet since it was a trip risk in several locations throughout various locations of my house.. When I initially had the carpet installed I requested the installers put down 2 tack strips and the installer told me it is not needed... It most certainly was.. Getting them back out to the house to repair their poor workmanship is an annoyance.. You have to call several times and when they set a date it's usually 2 to 3 weeks out.. read more

We live out of town, had them replace the bathroom flooring in our apartment we keep. My wife came down two months ago to find the toilet left in the shower with the sewer connection exposed. She called to give them the opportunity to correct. They said they would talk to the kid who did the job. I finally made it down to see for myself, floor will have to be ripped up and redone. They did not level underneath, just laid the floor on top. I have a photo but didn't see where to post. I am not saying all there work is this bad but I won't use them again. read more

wish I had read the reviews before I had the flooring installed. The laminate chosen and put down is exactly what we wanted. The installers Rick and Annette were so nice and very good at what they do. My problem was when we moved in permanently and started unpacking we found the old carpet still in the entry closet. I took my paperwork and estimate to Joe's Carpets only to be told that in order to put laminate in the closet it would cost more as that area had not been measured for the flooring. Really, this was a $10,000 job I have the left over material and you can't make a 4ft. x 2 1/2 ft. closet right with a customer! You can bet your bottem dollar I won't recommend Joe's Carpets to do the flooring in my dog house! read more

Well I learned Joe's Carpet located in both Inverness and Crystal River is far from a reputable outfit. Went there last week to look into some indoor/outdoor carpeting. She quotes me $13.99 "installed" for their budget brand and a sample to take. The room measures 7'-6" x 10' 3". So, rounding up and allowing for a bit excess 8 x 11 is fine. They send a guy to check my measurements and he says I need 8 x 12. Not gonna have a fit over an additional 8 sq ft but then does his math with his measurements and instead of $149.23 comes up with $153.89. I show him where his math is off and it's like speaking to a stone wall. Then the kicker. Add's an additional $35 for installation. I told him both the web site, as well as the owner giving me a price of $13.99 installed. He agrees the $13.99 is installed but tells me the $35 is an additional non advertised installation fee and to take it up with the owner. So I call the owner to discuss my issues with his measurements, and her employee's math as well as this additional $35 and she point blank tells me "I don't think I want to work with you" and HANGS UP on me!!!! read more

I contracted with Joe's Carpet to install carpet in three rooms of carpet my Florida home. In hindsight this was a terrible mistake. They twice installed a carpet with noticeable flaws that had to be removed and replaced. Twice they did not match the carpet seams and the result was obvious and noticeable. They scraped the paint off the walls and bathroom vanity doors, broke ceramic tiles at the bathroom carpet transition during the install and left humps where the carpet was not stretched tight. They also lifted two thresholds when moving furniture. When we contacted the owner, Jacqueline, she denied all of this and actually screamed at us that we were too picky and we were not "happy people". We took dozens of color pics of the damage and sent them to her for review and she maintained her immature denial. No way for a business owner to do business. Since this trouble we investigated Joe's Carpet online and read many unfavorable critiques just like ours and Jacqueline's bad Better Business Bureau rating with many unresolved complaints. I needed to have my carpets re-streched and tack strips installed in the doorways. The installer arrived as scheduled and did an excellent job. The installer was neatly dressed and had on a company shirt. Thank you for such great service and quality work. read more

We needed to have a bedroom done with Hardwood which we had bought ourselves.....Allan arrived and we are extremely pleased he went beyond the extra mile,,,,wish we had him the other bedroom because he is very knowledgeable, found an error in other room, Our neighbors were right go with so pleased glad I ignored the negative comments so very unfair, very tidy cleans up and so conscientious ! read more

Just got the run around from old owner because his measuring man can't measure his own ass. The old owner leaves his installers hanging while he bull shits his new buyer. The old owner is the most dishonest person I have ever met. I have obtained a lawyer for his disregard for his installers. BEWARE!! read more

Stay away from these people. One of the installers brought a relative along on the job that we later found out wasn't an employee. They stole several thousand dollars worth of jewelry,(including my mother's wedding ring) which we had to retrieve from the Citrus County sheriff's office and a pawn shop. The owner finally got around to reimbursing them. The carpet is already matted down after only 6 months. We will live with it rather than let these criminals back into the house. We learned the hard way. Don't make the same mistake! read more
