SCAM ALERT*******DONT USE THEM!***They scam the old timers of the Villages buy overcharging for tile purchased not the tile ACTUALLY installed. I brought this to the attention of one of the owners, Matt. He refused to change the estimate they provided. They attempted to charge for 1109 sf when the space only measures (by their measurements) 1003 sf. The explanation was that the customer is paying for the excess tile required to install the floor tile. (Waste due to cuts). I explained that he can not charge me an install price of the total amount of tile purchase, he can only charge me for the tile ACTUALLY installed. They are overcharging EVERY customer by the 10% overage that they purchase. It's a SCAM. They apparently do it with carpet as well. People only pay for what's installed not for what's purchased! I would not use them again. First phase of the job was to remove two collum's and arch in the dining area. This went well and I was pleased with the results. Next came carpet removal and new LVP flooring. I questioned installing new flooring prior to interior paint but was reassured that since the baseboards were being removed that flooring would have to be done first. Overall, the flooring was fine although I have since discovered a couple of areas where the flooring is not flush with the concrete (not properly leveled) which causes the affected areas to not properly settle. They did return to replace a damaged plank in a timely manner. Finally came the entire interior painting. The painting itself was fine however they failed to use any drop clothes which resulted in paint splatter around the entire flooring perimeter and numerous paint drops throughout the entire floor. In the master bathroom it appeared that someone spilled paint on one of the sink countertop's and then attempted to wipe it up with a sponge which was then just left in the sink. On the other sink countertop there was paint splatter everywhere. The project was supposed to include a basic house cleanup. After my wife and I spent 4 days cleaning paint and piles of debris left behind, I returned to the Colony Plaza office and expressed my displeasure and asked when the cleaning crew would arrive. Ashley was a pleasure to speak with, and I also showed her several pictures. She assured me that they would have a cleaning crew respond and that she would share my pictures with the owner. Two ladies arrived 2 days after my office visit and spent less then 30 minutes doing a floor sweep and mop. In the week since the project had been completed, we had already swept, mopped and cleaned the bathroom countertops with latex paint remover Goo Gone (great stuff). My concern was about the paint splatter still remaining which they completed ignored. They then cleaned the interior glass on the sliding door leading to the lanai and left with saying a word. I was truly hoping that I could recommend Roberto's in the future but that is sadly not the case. read more

This business was recommended and although I like to stick to the same contractor, I went out in a limb to try them. To earn five stars from my reviews you have to be BETTER than outstanding. Robertos reached for perfection and was successful. My wood planked tile is stunning. The crew removed the old tile and laid each plank without a hitch. They are efficient and are approachable if you have a question. Roberto personally popped over to oversee his crew's performance. If something wasn't right, he immediately rectified the issue. My toilet had a slight leak and because Roberto deals with plumbers, wood workers etc. within an hour, someone was at my home and replaced faulty connection. At the end of the job, a cleaning service was sent over to "give me the home as clean as it was when I gave it to them." Seriously, Robertos is a hidden gem in Oxford, Florida. I shopped around for weeks to get my living room, dining room and kitchen tiled. Roberto's did not only have the most competitive pricing in the Villages area, but they were also the least condescending and pressuring when helping me select a product that met my needs, my budget and my high-end esthetic. I found a beautiful tile that looks like old barn wood for the cost of linoleum (installed!). They set up the installation for a month later. It took 4 days for two skilled, pleasant, clean and hardworking workers to finish the work. They washed the floor several times before leaving and moved all furniture back in place. As I noticed a few things I needed addressed after the workmen had left, I called the owner Rafael, who was quick to come and address my issues. I had originally discussed that all trims would be properly placed back and painted after the tiling was completed (included in the original estimate). The tile men had left without adding a trim to the bottom of the baseboard, hence showing a small gap between the tiles and the bottom of the wall, which did not look nice and would have collected dirt. Rafael sent two workers just a few days later and they addressed my concerns in less than three hours and did an impeccable job. They added a bottom strip of wood to the wall baseboard and painted it. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat.
