I was looking for a place to eat and I found this place.As I walked in and looked around it's basically a hole in the wall.That never stops me.I don't judge a book by its cover.I went to the counter and ordered the two slice combo with a drink.I got a slice of pepperoni and a supreme slice well done.I sat down and waited for about ten minutes and my pizza came out.As I picked it up I noticed the crust was nice and crispy liked I asked.As far as the taste goes it was solid.I have no complaints about this pizza and i would definitely go back again.If your in the neighborhood I would definitely give this place a try. read more

Used to love this place because they delivered free to my neighborhood, fresh and delicious. However something has happened and everything has definitely gone downhill. I ordered over the phone, stuffed shells and chicken Florentine. Hadn't had it in a while and was excited. My boyfriend went to pick it up, restaurant was dim; employees looked disheveled, holes in shirt etc. Got the food home, my shells were disgusting, tasted like they were days old. His chicken, which was supposed to have a white wine sauce, had literal marinara on the noodles and the chicken was covered in old, gross tasting spinach. It looked like they took a piece of chicken, threw some spinach on it, and put some spaghetti noodles on the side. Joe's is a Fort Worth staple at this point after almost 20 years (I think). The best NY style pizza in Texas, made by actual Italians from New York. The slices in the window are good but if you want it at its best, you gotta order a whole pie. Don't go expecting the coolest atmosphere or the Texas-style friendliness. We came in when the Neighborhood Grill was busy. Too hungry to bother waiting or driving anywhere, we jumped next door here instead. It was a cold, dark day, and there was one other table in there for dinner. It was very dingy indeed. Frank and I sat underneath a bunch of decorations on shelves that you can tell have not been cleaned in a loooong time. The food prices are really cheap, though. My husband's spaghetti looked like it was of the canned variety; I didn't see any green flecks or anything else to conclude that his sauce had anything remotely fresh in it. I got an eggplant parm sandwich. Again, nothing to write home about, but it was CHEAP and covered in cheese. I think together our meal was like $11-12 bucks. They also sell pizza by the slice for under $2. It may have been sitting out all day; I have no idea. I might take them up on that if I was coming in at lunch, otherwise I can't see myself coming back here on purpose. read more

Ive had this pizza before the pandemic but went today 12-1-20 for a slice and it sucked. They only had three slices on the counter and they looked like they've been there all day. The front door said mask required but no one working there had one on and only two people working. I visited Joe's Italian Restaurant on Park Place, in Fort Worth, for the very first time, last night. I always dine next door at Esparanza's, and I regret having overlooked Joe's until last night. I recommend ordering 'take-out' or 'delivery' from Joe's Italian Restaurant (not dine-in); the Italian Food was incredibly delicious. 1st and foremost, Joe's prepares a true New York Pizza Pie (chewy/crispy, thin crust, with Sugo tomato gravy, & real mozzarella cheese), which made me incredibly happy. Joe's prepared a perfect pepperoni pizza, the best that I have ever tasted in the Fort Worth area. 2nd their meatballs are the best that I've tasted in either Fort Worth or Dallas. Joe's uses a brilliant combination of beef, pork, Italian bread crumbs, parmasagne cheese, and they bathe the golf-ball size meatballs in that Sugo gravy (a meat based tomato gravy, heavy on EVOO, garlic, oregano). I can't wait to try some of their pasta and veal dishes, especially their Veal Piccata, Lasagne, and Pasta alla Vongole. Again, I don't recommend dining at Joe's. However, for takeout or for delivery, they have the most delicious New York Pizza and the tastiest Meatballs in Gravy that I've enjoyed in the DFW area. read more

I moved to Fort Worth from Dallas and this is by far the best pizza/Italian place I've found since the move. This will be my go to place from now on. This is what I want in a pizza place. I call about 15 minutes before I plan to pick it up. Joe is succinct and direct with his responses. It's a fair price for a good pie. Nothing fancy. I wish he accepted American Express, but I'm happy to carry cash for Joe's pizza. Heads up: if it's your first time ordering, you'll be disappointed by the size of the large pizza. There's an extra large and an extra extra large, and those are probably more what you expect when you order a large pizza. read more

I DO NOT recommend the Park Place Joe's. I made the mistake of asking the man behind the counter for change (was going to doctor nearby and needed tip dollars for valet parking guys). In response to the other recent reviews: - About the 9.95 one topping deal, Joe recently had to raise his prices because of his rent being raised due to the gentrification of nearby Magnolia Street and restaurants attempting to move into his spot. He told me he didn't want to change the prices as they had been that way for a number of years but it was necessary to stay in business. He should take the signs outside down, though. -To whoever it was that wrote that the "Joe's on Clifford" will add extra cheese and the other person that said they're a regular customer at the "Hulen Joe's", THIS IS NOT A PART OF ANY OTHER JOE'S IN THE AREA. This is a stand alone, the only location that they run. It is family owned and operated and has been there for a number of years. Asking for extra cheese probably insulted the guy as his pizza is already damn good and cheesy enough as it is. -Lastly, as stated before, this is the only Joe's there is. Although it might not be the best business model, he seems to care less about new customers if they want to give him a hard time in any way. This is because he has been there for a number of years and he already has his customer base. The Park Place and Fairmount areas have loads of folks that are faithful to Joe's and their pizza. Best Joe's I've ever had. Pizza is perfect and greasy (hey, sometimes a girl wants a greasy pizza) and cheap! I've had the pepperoni and the alfredo. Both are amazing. The owner can be a little grumpy, but he's nice if you're nice to him. We've called in with several orders on different credit cards before and I can tell it tasks him, but I use my nice voice to get him to be less surly. (Seriously, my co-workers make ME call just because of my "nice voice".) Sometimes I dream about this pizza. I wish the Joe's near my house was half as good! We absolutely loved the pizza here!! At first was a bit skeptical of coming here because of previous reviews but so glad I did! Joe- the owner was very friendly! He does have an assertive tone of voice, which is why people may think of him as rude but he's actually quite funny! We ordered 1xl pizza and medium white pizza and it was enough to feed 6 people! The price is also very reasonable! Best of all, they carry ranch! The restaurant itself is a bit run down so don't expect a fireside pie ambiance. It's more of a whole in the Wall, but these are always the best food places! This Joe's Pizza was not as good as the Joe's Pizza in SW Arlington off Little Rd, disappointingly. I'm slowly learning that not all Joe's Pizzas are created equal...lol! Worker behind counter would only wear mask when talking to customers immediately takes off mask. Another worker was outside wearing headphones while smoking, then entered restaurant and went to kitchen maskless. Both are on phones when not talking to customers. Guy with headphones goes out and smokes another cigarette in front of customer, throws cigarette on sidewalk still lit then enters again maskless behind counter to handle food. I've been sick in the hospital for the last six days and am tired of eating the hospital food. I mentioned it to my parents and they said they would take care of dinner tonight. Hot, fresh and bursting with flavor, this was some of the best pizza that I've had in Ft. Worth - and I'm not just saying that because I've been in the hospital! It's really, truly tasty!
