I've been craving a meatball sub and yelp led us to this little gem of an Italian restaurant. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. The ambiance is pleasant and relaxing. I like the gentle soft music playing in the background. It adds for a super relaxing lunch experience. We started off with the fried mozzarella "sticks". They were delicious. Light and airy and their marinara sauce was the perfect compliment. If this sauce is on the meatball sub I'm gonna be a very happy guy! Our waiter, an absolute Gent brought out some homemade garlic rolls that were simply exquisite! Fresh and tasty. A real treat! Of course I had to order the meatball Parmigiana sub. Spaghetti. It arrived in no short order and was perfectly prepared. Served hot. I especially liked the sub. Light and airy and toasted to pure tender perfection. The meatballs were good. I'd argue a bit more seasoning was needed. The sub needed a bit more sauce. I want a messy meatball sub. I remedy this by using some of the marinara from the bread and mozzarella sticks. We also tried the Fettuccine Alfredo. For me the Alfredo sauce was a bit of a disappointment. I like it salty. It was creamed based and needed some fresh Parmesan cheese and salt. Joe's Pizza and Pasta is one of those places I can't believe I slept on for so long. I have driven past this spot a bazillion times since we moved to Justin (and even back when we lived in Northlake, which isn't far at all). We'd always notice it, but for whatever reason, never stopped. Finally, we decided, "Let's just go"--and I'm so glad we did. First off, it's BYOB, which is always a nice bonus. The food feels very homemade and clearly made to order (I know for sure the Alfredo sauce is). I started with the bruschetta, and let me tell you--it is not the bruschetta you're expecting. It's different, unique, and absolutely incredible. So good it deserves its own shoutout. I ordered the three-cheese ziti, and it was fantastic. Honestly, the biggest compliment I can give is that none of us left with leftovers. Every single bite was eaten. That never happens. The place has that cozy, mom-and-pop feel, with limited tables, so there's a chance you might have to wait--but it is 100% worth it. If you're on the fence like I was for years, take this as your sign to go. I'd absolutely recommend it and will definitely be back. read more

We have been going here since they opened. Great Armenian style Italian food. The best part is the staff. They are beyond most places you will visit. Friendly and very service oriented. Just great people. Even when packed the noise levels are not bad. Their Alfredo sauce is top notch. Ever so often their specials are the top pick . I love the osso buco when it's available as well as their lamb chops. Otherwise get their mussels or chicken Albanese. The pizza is fantastic. Local tip, save a few slices for the next day and heat them up on a pan with a lid and a little water. The crust gets super crispy and is absolutely perfect! 5 Star dining All The Way! We came in around 2:30pm and ordered their lunch specials. I had the lasagna, wife had the eggplant parmigiana with spaghetti, and our son had spaghetti and meatballs. Our meals included salads and I had the Italian dressing and it all was fantastic !We had what seemed as an endless supply of fresh baked rolls and marinara sauce. Oz, our server made us feel like family. We also ordered cannolis to go and these are the classic ones I remember. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area! I really like this place, it's a bit off the beaten path, but the food is very good with a different ambience compared to some of the other Italian places in the area. When we want to go get Italian, and we want to dine in when Texas Motor Speedway is doing something, we always go here. The best thing? They've never gotten our order wrong... Still on the lookout for that perfect pizza place. Had heard about Joe's so decided to give it a try. As we entered the little storefront restaurant, we felt like we were taking a step back into the 1970s. It felt just like a pizza place I used to visit where I grew up in high school. I don't mean this as an insult at all, just an observation. It has a very hometown, small restaurant feel. The menu of pastas and chicken/veal items besides pizza is quite large and for a future visit we will venture into that part of the menu. But, we were there for pizza so we ordered. It was well cooked, though I like my crust a bit crisper. Generous with toppings, especially cheese. It all tasted a bit salty to us, but that was possibly the sausage. Not going to be our go to pizza place. There is no liquor served, so you can BYOB. We will likely do that as well next time. In fact there is a liquor store just a few storefronts down the strip mall, so you can buy a bottle of since and bring it in. There are no side salads available, so we split a Caesar salad and it was still plenty. All in all a nice mom and pop style restaurant. Actually don't know if it is or not because there are so many restaurants in the DFW area called Joes. If a chain, this location hides it well, and that I do mean as a complement. read more

I have to say I haven't had pizza with this quality since before Covid. That's a long time. We got a large pizza and a salad and it was perfect. The guy that took our order over the phone was also very nice. We are excited to go back soon and try some of the other dishes. P.S. We just moved to the area and I stoppedby for lunch. I will be back with the family. I had the lunch speghetti with meatballs. It comes with a small salad and garlic knot. I had creamy Italian and if they didn't make from scratch I want to know what brand it is. The spaghetti was cooked great not too soft and not too al dente. The sauce was awesome. You could taste the tomatoes and it was clean and fresh. It was not overpowered by spices. Overall great lunch and I will return wit the family. read more
