Our group of 6 had dinner here recently and enjoyed our experience. The pizza and other entrees we had were all delicious. I ordered the Blackened Chicken Tortellini, and it was delicious and filling. Our server was very nice and attentive and timely in checking in on us. For what you get, the prices are more than fair, and the cozy environment makes you feel welcome. Parking is available on street - though it may be tough to find a spot during peak hours - and there is also a lot just across the street. Hmm. If I ordered online, then why was I asked to sign the receipt primarily just to see if I wanted to tip? I'd understand if I was dining in and I was getting SERVICE but I ordered to go. All the receptionist did was bring the food from the kitchen area to me. I didn't make those rules. Great food, but the front people need more training. Been coming to Inzo's many years. Always a relaxing place to have a solid Italian meal. Unfortunately, it seems like they changed recipes or owners. Focaccia was over cooked and entrees were a bit bland. The Carbonara was just Alfredo with bacon then traditional Carbonara sauce. I subbed Vodka sauce for traditional marinara for my chicken parmigiana. The sauce was darker and almost had a slight cinnamon like flavor. Also, pasta was as if the water wasn't salted and very bland. All in all not a great experience compared to many prior meals here. read more

I dont eat much pasta when I go out but I heard a good spot here in Roanoke. It was around 7 when we arrived and the place is bustling. Luckily we had a reservation for 7:15. We didn't wait long for our table. I ordered their Blackened Chicken tortellini- blackened chicken on top of tortellini mushroom, spinach in an Alfredo sauce. The tortellini was tender but firm and silky and smooth at the same time with no graininess or raw flour taste. The overall bite has that subtle chew. It was one of the perfect torts I've had in a while. On top of that India did an awesome job serving us. This place is definitely worth coming back to. read more

This is such a cute joint in downtown Roanoke!! The service was great, the sidewalk patio is shaded and quaint, and the food is classic Italian eats! The reason for 4/5 stars: while the food is good, it's a tad on the pricey side. I'm not normally one to complain about pricing, but I do feel that dinner for 2 on a Tuesday in a super-cute downtown area shouldn't cost ~$100. We'll be back though. We went to Inzo Italian Kitchen for Valentine's Day, and overall I'd give it 3 stars. The atmosphere was festive and clearly geared toward the holiday, which we appreciated. That said, the tables were *very* close together, and our table itself was so tiny that we constantly had to rearrange plates, drinks, and silverware just to make everything fit. It made the evening feel a bit cramped rather than romantic. Before going, I checked the online menu and was really looking forward to the veal parmigiana--but was told that online was old and it was no longer available. I ended up settling for the chicken parmigiana instead. Unfortunately, the chicken was tough and chewy, which was disappointing. The strawberry lemonade also missed the mark; it tasted more like powdered Kool-Aid than fresh lemonade. On a positive note, the crème brûlée was actually very good--nicely caramelized on top and creamy underneath. They also had a free photo booth, which was a fun touch and a sweet way to end the evening. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but between the cramped seating and underwhelming main course, it didn't quite live up to our expectations for a special occasion dinner. read more

Dinner tonight was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back if I could give this place a 10 star I definitely would they got busy towards the end of our visit. We decided to go early good thing we did because they had a street festival kinda going on. Our waitress was doing amazing but she got double sat while she was trying to get three tables checked out so towards the end we had to wait a little bit but overall service was so good. Food was amazing. You can definitely tell everything from scratch. The doors were open. It was nice and breezy outside. Wasn't overly loud. The ambience of the whole Restaurant was an eight out of 10. read more

This place has rave reviews so it hurts me to write and not so positive review. The service was great, but the food itself just wasn't very good. Our shrimp on the appetizer and the shrimp scampi were overcooked, my pasta dish simply had no flavor and I had to add a lot of salt and pepper, the shrimp scampi had minimal sauce and dry and my mom had to ask for more. The best part of the meal was the bread and olive oil. The sauce with the shrimp appetizer was also delicious. There's an open concept and we could hear what seems to be the manager arguing or complaining to the staff the entire meal. Overall, not the best experience or meal read more

This is so disappointing to post as we have always had a great meal at Inzo's and go often. But sadly Mother's Day was not so good. It started with a salad that was so brown no one wanted to eat it and the waitress didn't even ask about it. Then our diners came out and 2 had spaghetti that was cold, and 2 had chicken that was so over cooked it was hard. No one finished their meals. I hope This will not be the norm. read more

Solid choice when in Roanoke. We made reservations on Open Table, which was good because the place was packed. We were sat immediately. Our server was super nice and very helpful. The menu has a lot to choose from and there is a really nice vibe to the place. My daughter loved her carbonara and my chicken with a spicy Alfredo didn't disappoint. The BEST part of our time here was our server (Jamie T). She was absolutely incredible!!! Even though she was only server working, she made us feel right at home and made our visit great. The bus boy (lady) asked us what drinks we wanted to order since our waiter/ress never came by 15 mins after sitting there (with only a few tables present). The waitress brought my plate then told my bf she accidentally gave his food to another table. After 10 mins later, they brought the lasagna he ordered & it was microwaved or so it tasted as it had been. I never leave bad reviews especially after the first experience, however, I was a little disappointed since I was told we needed a reservation. So I'm visiting (from San Diego) my son and future daughter in law in Fort Worth. The 3 of USdecided to give it a try, based on an online review (not YELP, it's a low review). We did an INZO salad a medium meat lovers pizza and a real good pasta dish with sun died tomatoes. The 3 of us shared, so we could do some tasting tests! OMG...Delish! I was so surprised to see only a 3.9 review here, because the food was hot with some really incredible flavors. Our server was (Nicole) was on top of her game....We never waited for anything long! In a nutshell: Great food, not a super fancy place (but casual) and was only $55 with the tip. No drinks this time, but they do have a full bar. Geez I usually spend $30 at a fast food place for 3 people and then I regret it. Overall our 3 tummies were very satisfied and we didn't feel like we overpaid for crummy service & food. Once again, Yelp! did us right. A party of 10, we moved up the time of the reservation, then arrived early. What restaurant needs this aggro? They were amazing!! Our server was Muritha (I'm afraid I got her name wrong - no disrespect intended!). She is the consummate professional. 8 teenagers, 2 adults who wouldn't focus, and she never lost her smile. I forgot to take pics of the complimentary bread (with balsamic, butter *and* olive oil, be still my heart) or my mixed green salad, but imagine perfection. The salad dressing had a lovely sweet undertone (not the ubiquitous tart Italian dressing). I can't figure out that flavor, but - Yum!! From the garlic bread appetizer to the penne arrabbiata and the limoncello mascarpone cake, everything was pronounced delicious. There wasn't a bite left on any plate (well, except for the picky eater who did manage to finish a whole slice of his pizza. It must have tasted great, though, because he took the rest of it with him - a first in 6 days). I was astonished that no one took advantage of the free photo booth, but we were highly entertained by the pizza chef, whose skills with airborne pizza are not to be missed. Roanoke's Restaurant Row is really something, and Inzo Italian Kitchen is a highlight. read more
